I started phentermine with the intent to lose weight, which I am still working on but discovered that it helped with my severe migraine headaches. I am concerned about some side effects I may or may not be having due to the phentermine. I am experiencing varicose veins in my feet and legs. My feet at times go to a red/purple color, but do not become numb. I also have bloating of my stomach which is very uncomfortable. Has anyone else experienced these problems?? Weird huh? I would really appreciate any feedback. Thanks, Patsy

    Hi Patsy,

I too had severe migraines and have suffered with them since I was 11 years old. Once I started the Phentermine, I no longer have migraines. I thought that was so strange. Anyways, Thank God for that. I also attribute it to me losing 20lbs in 1 months time.

The other symptoms you are experiencing I have never heard of. I did not experience any side affects at all. Thank goodness.

I hope you find your answer soon.

    Good Luck!

    Thumbs up

    Hi Ladyluck777,
Thanks for your response. I have had migraines since 18 yrs old. How long can you take phentermine for the headaches? Great job!! 20 lbs. I lost 10 but have put 4 back on. I take 60mg a day, but it doesn't seem to be working as well. What else did you do to help lose your weight?

    Good Luck with all.. Patsy

    Hi Patsy,

The descrption of your symptoms is making me worried. I hope you have a good local doctor that you like and trust. I think you should call about the symptoms you have in your feet. Anything that sounds blood/heart related makes me think a call to the doctor is a good idea.

I also have a history of severe migraine - I read so many posts about headaches I wonder if they are in some way related to weight issues?

I hope that everything is o.k., and that you continue to have good results on phentermine.

    Best Wishes to you,

    Abbi

    Hello Patsy,

Thanks for the congrats! As of this morning, I have dropped another 4.5 lbs. I am very very happy

I want to note though, I am NOT taking phentermine for my migraines. I am taking Phentermine to get my weight under control. It just so happens that I noticed that since taking Phen my migraines have all but dissappeared! It's totally weird.

Plus,I changed my diet Big Time. I don't eat fast foods or any sort, chocolate, soda's not even diet or red meat. I also drink plenty of water; anywhere from 64 - 96+ oz a day. I also do High Impact step aerobics 5 times a week.

By the way Patsy, why are you taking 60mg that seems awful strong. I think the most you can take with phen is 30 - 37.5 mg. Hmmmm, I would talk to your Doctor ASAP. something doesn't seem right. All the symptoms you are describing just don't sound right.

I wish you all the best of luck with your weight loss. If you ever need any Advice, please send me a message.

    Hi Ladyluck777,
My doctor that prescribed the phen(fastin) told me to take one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I am making an appointment to see the doctor about all this cuz it sounds too wierd to me. You go Girl!! You are doing fantastic, I have to really get going and lose some of this weight, I used to work out alot but had a hysteretomy and have been set back for a bit. Hearing how well you are doing really encourages me. Thanks and have a great day. Patsy

    Hi Abbi,
Thanks for your reply. I am making an appointment with the doctor today, it is just too strange. I don't know if the headaches come from weight related issues, I know that alot are inherited, some are triggered by foods, lights, noise, smells, and STRESS, etc. If you also get muscle tension headaches, that will trigger a migraine also. I wish you alot of luck with your weightloss plans. Patsy
