Can anyone give me advice on what has helped them to lose the maximum amount of weight while taking phen? I've only lost 6lbs in the last month and I have read on here how some people have lost 20 or more, I have approximately 30lbs to lose. I work out regularly and I watch what I eat, However, I know there's room for improvement in this area. Please help. All advice appreciated. Thanks, geni

    Hi Geni,
Congratulations on your weight loss so far.
Well, I can't tell you how to speed up your weight loss because I'm taking it pretty slow myself. I think it's a good idea to live a lifestyle that you can stick with forever. So I haven't been real strict with anything. I'm just substituting healthier choices for bad ones. So maybe think of it like this: If you lose 6 pounds a month for 4 more months you'll be at goal. Time will just fly by too. Also, if you take things at this pace you'll probably be able to keep the weight off for a lifetime.
I know when you hear of people losing 20 pounds in a month you want to do it too. But try not to compare. Everyone is so different. Also the more you have to lose the faster it comes off initially.
If you feel like you could improve in some area: eating, exercise, water, then you could maybe make small changes(or easy changes) in those particular areas. Only you know what is right for you. Have you had a chance to read through any of the older posts? There is lots of good info, tips, eating plans, exercise programs, and praises about water consumption. There maybe something in those posts that may hit home for you personally. Actually, there are several posts specifically for people that are trying to lose about 20 pounds. I'll bump that up for you. Anyway, I know you will get lots of good advice from our fellow phensters. Take care and have a good day!

I would just add that when you see posts of people who quickly lost 20 lbs.....they probably have 80 to loose!! Phen is not a miracle drug; it is most effective for obesity....20-30 lbs overweight is just that...overweight but not truly obese.

This doesn't mean that Phen can't help....BUT...if you have 20 or 30 lbs to loose, I doubt if 20 lbs is comming off the first month! You just have to keep at it!
6 lbs/first month is GREAT ...be glad you only have 20 left to go.

Geni, I am in the same boat! All I want to loose now is 10 more pounds, or 10 inches. Maybe 15 pounds for good measure. If you don't have a lot to loose, then it will take a little longer to reach your goal.
I tried on a pair of Ocean Pacific (OP) pants from years ago, yesterday. I got in 'em, but I couldn't zip them up. That's okay, though. That only means that I am closer to my goal. I didn't realize how thin I was back then. The last time I wore them was over 7 years ago. I must have purchased those pants in the Junior department or something, because they are a size 9. My goal is size 6/8. I am 5'6".
Phen has really helped me get back on track with my diet & exercise.
I've got 3 pills left. It looks like I am going to have to order from the internet since I can't find a Dr. to write a script.

    Cool

Thanks for all the good advice and encouragement. During some down time, instead of curling up to a good book, I'll look up some of the old replies for some good advice. (smiles)Bridgette
