I have been on phen since August. I have not lost that much and it is really frustrating me. I drink water, excercise, and have definately watched what I have been eating. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Please help..I read all these posts and some enthralled with everyones awesome progress, wish I could send some exciting news as well. I appreciate you listening and look forward to hearing some good advice from some fellow phensters. Thanks!

Hey amy. How much do you have to lose? Were you exercising and stuff before? Maybe thats it. You may be building muscle, or retaining water. I have heard that it helps to take your measurements. I havent tried it, but they say that sometimes you don't lose that much (according to the scale) but you do in inches. Maybe you should give that a try! Good Luck!

Hi Amy,

I'm the other Amy You might try a diet diary. I kept a strict one and wrote down every single thing I ate and I was shocked at the cracker here and the bite of whatever there that added up in a day's time. Just a suggestion. It really opened my eyes as to where my problem was. I wasn't eating that much at meals, I was just munching more than I realized. To keep me honest, my diet buddy and I shared our diaries every day. I quit munching because I didn't want to take her abuse

By the way, I only lost 8 lbs the 1st month. My diet buddy lost over 20 lbs that first month on Adipex. It was really discouraging for me. I had my 4 month check up last week and I've lost 30 lbs. That averages 7.5 lbs per month. I am on Bontril.

Keep up the good work and it will come off. The smaller amounts of monthly weight loss add up, too.

Actually your body tends to adapt to the phentermine, and some can loose the benefits from Phen. When I was on it I would go 2 weeks on, the take a 3-5 day cleansing period where my body flushed out the build up, and started new with the same "new" side effects as the 1st day. Does this make any sense at all? lol Basically, take a break form time to time so you don't loose the effect. Thats my experience anyways

Kati,

That works for me, too. I take a day or 2 off every week and it really helps get the phen to kick back in. It kicks me off the plateau every time (so far)
