I completely am there with you. I have been on it for 1 week. The scale went from 194 to 189. But I dont know if that is because I took off my shoes. Because I went from 190 to 189 w/o shoes. So who the heck knows. But If I am not at least at 185 by this Saturday, I will loose my mind. This is not kewl.

It is frustrating. I mena we live in an instant society and want things to happen quickly. That's great you lost 5lbs. though. I wish my sale went down 5lbs. What side effects have you experienced. I have been on it since last Thursday and today I feel Lightheaded and dizzy and have slight cramping in my chest. ANXIETY maybe????

What is your calorie intake in a day, you might be eating well but eating to many calories, somewhere in the forum, there is a discussion on how many calories according the weight you want to loose, and it gives a formula to figure it out, I am eating 1k a day, and drinking 3 liters of water a day. Re evaluate your food intake, and hang in there, are you doing any exercise? That will definately play a big part. Don't give up now, and remember we are here for you.

Tracylynnem- If you do not have alot of weight to lose you will only lose 1-3 lbs. a week. Like I said before I started Feb. 26 at 167- (I am 5'6, large boned) the first week I lost 8lbs, next week 4lbs, then 1-2.5 pounds per week from there. Again, if you do not have alot to lose you can only expect 1-3 lbs a week. Most of the people on this sight are very overweight, you are not. Like I said before, I think 119 for someone 5'6 large framed is not realistic. Sounds like you are at where I was at after I lost my excess weight- once I hit 149lbs. the weight came off pound by pound- week by week. I doubt you will see major losses each week because you are not that much overweight. Make sure you are eating 1000 calories a day and stick with the water!

Thanks everyone, I do make sure I eat enough each day 1000 - 1200 calories. I guess I'm just impatient. Thanks for all the advice. It's nice to know I can communicate with others going through the same thing I am. THANKS!!!!

Tracy,

MJ is right, when you don't have much to lose..it takes longer to lose it. One pound isn't much though, especially for it being your very first week on phen. Maybe it's just really hard for you to lose weight.

Tracy,

Don't stress yourself out over the side effects. YES it has possible side effects just like any other drug, but I wouldn't concern myself with it. I've researched it quite a bit because I too was afraid of the side effects and the chances of something bad happening are very slim. Just make sure your blood pressure is within the normal range and you should be fine. If you convince yourself that something terrible is going to happen to you from taking this medication, you are going to freak yourself out (I know from first hand experience). But I would like to also say:

I am not a doctor and this is not medical advice, if you experience any abnormal symptoms contact your healthcare professional.

I don't know if that helps or not. I used to worry about it a lot and after researching it, I am not overly concerned...I am still cautious, just NOT paranoid.

BUT, if you continue to take it and you continue to see no results (say like, within a month) I would stop taking them. There really isn't any point, if you never see a weight loss with them. But I don't think that will happen, I'm sure you'll start dropping pounds soon.

Thanks Linz, your advice was comforting. I'll try to mellow out on the panic thing. I'll ride this out for a month. It's great to have this kind of support an it makes me feel so much better. Thanks again.

Tracy and Jac...

Hey...

I just wanted to share my results with you. I thought it might help you both to know that there is someone out here who is actually losing A LOT slower than you are. Although losing nontheless...

I have done it all.

****So much water...

....I have been thinking about investing in some adult diapers just to save me a few trips to the bathroom! And you wouldn't believe the amazing inventions I have come up with for being able to go pee while still sitting in your car in the middle of rush-hour traffic...I think I am on to something!...

****So much exercise...

....I am considering opening my own gym so that I can start getting paid to exercise...you know, make a living out of it!
I mean, I have more energy invested there than anyone EVER puts into their job!!!...

****So aware of my caloric intake...

....I am kicking around the idea of having the "Nutritional Facts" label for all of my favorite foods, tatooed on some visible part of my body so that I can quit carrying around this dumb calorie counter workbook/chart thingy. That way I can just look down at my arm and have the "stats" right there...

Seriously. It is rediculous! I have been on Phen for 9 WEEKS!!! I went to the doctor one week ago today and I have lost a whopping...
....drum roll please....
...12 pounds????!!!!???!!??!!!!

Ok, I am not trying to make you feel bad for posting your frustration. Really. I mean, that's one of the reasons that this forum exists in the first place, and I have certainly submitted my share of frustrated posts.

On the contrary, I guess I just felt like maybe if I told you about the ...S...L....O....W... progress that I have been experiencing, it would make you reconsider your success. And success it is!!!
You should be sooo proud of your accomplishments! I KNOW it is NOT EASY!!!!
Take heart...you are well on your way!

Best of Luck to you both!

Hi Group,
The best advice I ever got on weight loss, was that you did not put it on in one day and it won't come off in one day. I try to remeber that when I get on the scales or the pants aren't lose and I think they should be.

Hey Red,

I can't believe how frustrating losing weight is!!! And it really shouldn't I appreciate you sharing your story. I should take my own advice with you 12 pounds is better than no pounds and my WHOPPING 1 pound is better than no pounds or the worse gaining a pound. I have just become so obsessed with this losing weight thing i hate how it rules (RUNS) my life. I feel everyone's pain.

Love from cali

HI TRACY I HATE TO SAY IT BUT MJ IS RIGHT. IM OVERWEIGHT FOR MY HEIGHT MY DR SAYS I'M OBESE BUT ANYWAY I'VE BEEN ON THIS FOR A MONTH AND THE FIRST WEEK I LOST 10 POUNDS, NOW WEEK BY WEEK I LOSE 3-4, BUT I GUESS WHEN YOU HAVE SO MUCH ON LIKE I DO IT SEEMS TO COME OFF A LOT IN THE BEGINNING, DON'T WORRY BECAUSE WE ALL END UP AT THAT POINT WHERE IT'S ONLY 1 POUND A WEEK. MY DR ACTUALLY PUT ME ON THAT LOW CARB ACTUALLY I SHOULD SAY NO CARB DIET AND IT SEEMS TO WORK.SHE JUST RECENTLY TOLD ME I CAN ADD A LIMITED AMOUNT INTO MY DIET NOW. IF THE NO CARBS WORKS FOE YOU TRY IT AND SEE HOW IT GOES. I ADVISE YOU WILL FEEL THE EFFECTS AT FIRST. I MEAN I WAS A BIG PASTA AND POTATO EATER. NOW I JUST EAT A LOT OF PROTEIN AND DAIRY,HANG IN THERE IT'LL COME OFF. YOU KNOW THE OLD SAYING ROME WASN'T BUILT IN A DAY.

Queenwitch (cute)

Thank you so much for your advice. I know I'm just a little impatient B&*%h... All I can do is do the right things, and if it was meant to come off then so be it and if not, guess it's black leggings and turtlenecks for life I will try the low carb diet. I do try to stay away from the starchy carbs. Pasta Bread and cheese (god all my favorites) and mostly eat veggies and those egg whites those are dieters best friends. Thanks again all advice WELCOME!!!
