    Hey Sparkle-n-Texas....

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I will keep you in my prayers, I have been praying for this whole situation ever since it started. Having some people's names makes it a bit easier to pray for someone specific.

Take care and know we are out here for you whenever you need us

I understand how worried you are. I was your age, actually a little younger during the Gulf War and I had a couple of friends who were called up during college (they were reservists). The hardest thing was watching what was happening on the television and knowing that your friends were there.

I have a cousin in the Navy stationed in Japan and my DH's best friend is in the Army JAG stationed in Germany. My dad was a career military officer beginning in the mid-'60s and he was very lucky that he didn't have to serve in Vietnam. Everytime his speciality (hazardous cargo) came up someone single volunteered knowing that he was married with an infant (me). While we were stationed in New Orleans he would be gone with a phone call and he even volunteered to go to Saudi Arabia after the Gulf War to clean up.

I'm sure he knows how worried you are about him, but be supportive and let him know how proud you are of him.

Where are you stationed? Are there any support groups on base for the spouses?

    Keep us posted.
