I've been on phen for 20 days now, doing pretty good. Today I decided to skip my cap. so I could put a few back for later. OMG ! I ate everything I could get my hands on. Crap, that was depressing. So I guess I'm still not in control of this wild eating habit. Damm Damm Damm

Lose, We all know how hard it is to control this eating thing. Start back tomorrow and hang in there.

I know you post quite a bit on this forum, but I can't remember...Are you drinking the minimum RENA water requirement? Exercising a few times a week? Eating sensibly?

I can't help but think that until all of these things are part of our regular lifestyle, we will not keep the weight off and/or control our eating.

I don't know....I am hoping this is the case. I am trying so hard, too AND getting frustrated because I do wish I could lose the weight without medication and very quickly. I get tired of eating sensibly and not losing anymopre, but have to keep trying.....

I wish this sounded a bit more motivating to you....please keep in mind that most of us are going through this and we'll be here for you.

Take care and start a new day tomorrow.

Hi lose!

Don't feel bad. We all have our weak moments... especially those first few times w/out phen!

If you do have weak moments where you feel like eating everything one important thing to remember is at least try to grab for the "healthiest" stuff. I've always noticed that once I lose the weight I want and quit taking my phen, the lost weight is my motivation for continuing to eat right. Eventually the phen will help you learn to eat better but a pill alone won't do it... you have to have the strength to know that weight loss is always a battle and it's something people have to work at everyday.

One thing I have learned is that by coming back to this site I gain alot of encouragement and motivation in those "weak" moments!

Just keep working hard and doing what you've been doing! A little backslide every now and then is perfectly normal and we are all entitled to those "pig out" days!!

Thank you both for the encouraging word. I do feel better today, took my phen and am ready to go. I don't think I'll try that again for awhile.OK, I'm going to forget yesterday and be positive. Thanks again!

Hey Stardust, that got me kinda tickled, even proud what you said about the "Rena" minimum water requirement

And you know what?? I think you're absolutely right, it doesn't really do us any good until we've done it enough for it to really become a way of life for us. I remember the first month I was on phen, I went off one day, and ate like a pig! LOL Somehow, I guess because I had been doing so good, I didn't do any damage to the diet, but it scared me and I got right back on it the next day. After that, I didn't miss a day. I had been on it from sometime in August until right before Christmas, then I got really sick, and HAD to go off of it while I was on antibiotics. (My doctor told me to lay off them, bad combination) I still did great during that time, even lost about 3 pounds!! I was amazed!! And thrilled!! Didn't really mess up until Christmas day, and well that was a totally different story LOL!

The main thing is, stay with it for a while, to get your new eating habits established before you go without your phen. That's what it's for, not to be a magical pill, but to help us be able to set up our own better eating habits

Good luck!!

RE: WEIGHT LOSS PLATEAU

Your body loses weight in cycles. The initial weight loss is mostly water. The amount you lose is based on the level of water retention and your starting weight. Also, healthy food doesn't hang around in your system as long, so weight loss will be facilitated by a healthy diet.

Once you hit a long stretch with no loss HANG IN THERE. After about 4-6 weeks - I know, yuck, a long time - you'll suddenly drop a ton of weight in 1 week. Sounds weird but beleive me, it's woth the wait! That week will be your motivation kicker for the next round.

Keep it up and DON'T GET DISCOURAGED. You can't change biology...
