Oh there are many things you can feel. I didnt sleep much the first few days but still felt full of energy. Some get headaches. They say water helps a lot. I just know the only thing I felt was full of energy, difficulty sleeping, had to force myself to eat. It mellows out after a week or so. Now I can take one and go to bed and sleep for hours. I dont have to force myself to eat but I dont think about eating and have to remember I need to eat. Oh yea and dry mouth, but that gets you to drink lots of water, which you should do anyway.
Good luck and keep us posted. If you notice anything and want to ask just go right ahead. |

Nitra did a great job of summing up the side effects.
I also felt a little bit of dizziness for a few days. The energy was the best part for me. And actually, I've been on Phen for a month and that energy has really continued. Also, my mood has been great!! My husband has asked me if I would mind staying on Phen for life!! ![]() Good luck with your weight loss. Keep us posted! You'll do great!

My doctor started me on 37.5mgs and the first 3 days I had several side effects. On the 4th day I cut my pill in half and stayed on the 18mgs for about 7 days and then once I started feeling like I was adjusting I took half in the morning and the other half in the afternoon.
The dry mouth was the most noticeable side effect but it sure kept, and continues to keep me drinking plenty of water! This is a good thing because I have always hated water and was a diet Coke addict! Now I only drink diet Coke when I go out to eat. I have been taking phen since mid-May and my stats are 205/160/125. I love taking phen and it is well worth any of the initial side effects you might experience. You might have trouble sleeping in the beginning so be sure to take it first thing in the morning. I never really had headaches but I would feel kind of a tingly sensation on my scalp and down my neck a little ways. The first 3 days when I was taking too much I didn't have as much energy, I just felt "cloudy" (that's the only description I can think of). Once I cut back the dosage then I had tons of energy (I wanted to talk alot) and I had to force myself to eat! Once in a while I would feel kind of a flutter in my chest but the Doctor said this was just the hyped up (fight or flight) part of the response to Phen. Nothing to worry about and eventually that went away. Another mild side effect I had was that my hands and feet were cold, but, that went away sometime in the second month. At the beginning of the third month my most difficult side effect was the moodiness. But, I just keep in mind that it's not me it's the Phen and that nothing is perfect so this is just someting I'll have to put up with to reach my goal. A friend of mine gave up on it after the third month because she didn't like the irritability. But... I found if I take a couple of days off of Phen every week or so that really helps lessen the moodiness.Overall, this has been a great experience! I have never felt healthier or eaten healthier in my life! With the help of Phen my life has changed for the better. There has also been such a positive change in my family. Because I'm eating healthy, I'm cooking healty and educating my family. My husband was up to 210 lbs, my 15 yr. old daughter was struggling to keep her weight under control (she was up to 152 lbs) (shh...don't let her know I told!), and my 11 yr. old son was working his way up the scale too! All of this was happening because I love to cook, and I love to eat, and so the meals I made were delicious but sooo high in fat and calories! Anyway...Without Phen, my husband is now down to 176 and continuing to drop, my daughter is down to 133 and is headed to her goal of 125, and my son (bless his heart) has dropped 10 lbs without even knowing how it happened. This I think is the real testimony! Not my weight loss but the improved health and fitness of an entire family. I say that is worth any monetary cost and any side effects I may encounter. Best of luck to you as you begin this life changing journey. I know you will do great, just take it one day at a time and keep coming to this forum. They have been indespensible to me and I never even posted. Let us know how you do tomorrow and remember if it feels like too much, the next day just cut it in half and try 15mg a day until you adjust. And most of all just have fun!!!
