I was wondering how it compared to PHENTERMINE? I asked my doc for PHEN and he said that he would rather prescribe Melfiat(BONTRIL 105mg) because it doesn't have the heart palpitations. That is what I am taking. Just wondering if anyone takes/took it and how they liked it!

I haven't used Bontril but I've seen posts similar to yours. Bontril is supposed to have less side effects than Phen; some people feel it is less effective....but there are people who lost weight. Also, sometimes Bontril is used as a "booster"...Phen is taken, and then later in the day, Bontril is taken ,to help with hunger at night, when Phen is wearing off.

For any of these meds, you can find people who did well and others who didn't like them. You have to try them and see what works best for you.

WOW, I can't imagine taking BOTH. I think I like the PHEN better. I took PHEN the first time a couple of years back and I just remember the speed feeling all day long. This only lasted half a day! We will see......At least this suppresseed my appetite today, it might just be the excitement of starting today too! If I get immuned to it too quick, I will change to PHEN. What are you taking and how have you done on it?

KC, I hope you see this without me having to post a separate post. But I was wondering if you didn't lose the weight because you were eating? Did it NOT suppress your appetite? Just wondering because it suppresses mine. I hope I lose because I was going to give it a little longer and see what happens then make the change over to PHEN. THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT

It just didn't work for me but everyones different. It supressed my appiette but I didn't loose any weight. I guess my body got immune to it quickly because after a while it felt like it quit workin but best of luck to you.
