Some of you may remember me posting my tongue problem EVERYWHERE. and the corners of my mouth, and the swelling and the constipation..... Well, my doc saw my fingernail, ask a lot of questions then told me to take a multi-vitamin, extra vit C and Vit E. Being a good girl I did, everything is going away. Nails are clearing up, mouth is WELL( it was messed up for 4 and 1/2 months) and for the last three days- I've gone to the bathroom without help!!!!!!!!!!!! Never knew that could be so thrilling. I want the world to know- Isn't that a hoot! Seriously though- I have had to use a laxative every week for almost 5 months. so this is news to me. I just thought his might help someone else out and it isn't as likely to cause further problems.Ask your doctor. I wish I'd known long ago that vitamins could help all my problems.

Oh, it hasn't helped the swelling in my legs though.

Hey - yesterday someone posted asking for help re: "ulcers" in their mouth. Wondering if there was any connection to phen. Maybe you could find that post and respond to them. Sounds similar.

I totally agree, so many of the side-effects can be avoided by taking a really good multi-vitamin. My first time on Phen, I had problems with hair loss, constipation, and skin breakouts/rashes. All of which went away after investing in some multis with absorbtion statements and really working more raw fruits and vegies into my diet. Taking your vitamins along with citrus (OJ is great) can help, as the natural acids in citrus help to break down the vitamins, so that they don't all pass through you. One more note on effects - eating lots of fruits/berries not only boosts your natural vitamin intake (lots of C here), but it also helps considerably with keeping everything moving through you (if you get my meaning).

When I was growing up, my grandmother was a Shaklee distributor (vitamins). She was always talking about what this vitamin did or that one... Now we hear all of the studies that have FINALLY been done... and she was right!! My grandma is 87 now.. and is WAY busier than all of the family put together!! She is always zipping around in her Caddy.. usually having conflicting engagements, but makes it to all of them. I strongly believe in taking vitamins.. and wish I could afford the Shaklee ones. For now, I take the Kroger store brand ones.

My doc advised the multi and extra VitC and VitE- in quantities I thought I'd never be able to afford. Well, I found this package of vitamins that are seperated into individual daily doses. It is made by YourLife. Called Daily Pak maximum. Each packet has 5 pills in it. A "mega potency" multivitamin, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Siberian Ginseng, and Chromium Picolinate. This bad boy has 1200mg of vit C(doc recommended at least 1000 for me)and 900I.U. of vit E(doc said I needed at least 500 I.U., preferably more)keep in mind this is the maximum pack if you don't need that much, there are smaller doses. This is a 30 day supply for less than $10.00 at Wal-Mart. They have a website if you want to check it out. It is (put this all together of course) Your Life Vitamins. Com with the 3 ws first. So, each morning I take 7 pills. These 5 and Adipex and hydroclorothiazide(water pill). And if needed a prevacid and/or celebrex. After using water to swallow all of those down, I believe I fill my quota for the day! LOL
