I was just wondering if anyone takes a fat burner along with their phen?
I'm currently taking a fat burner and I don't feel any side affects from taking both of them.

Kelbel,
Please list all of the ingredients that are in those fat burner pills. Go get the bottle right now!![]()
Danelady,
I'm going to go exercise now. When Kelbel writes back, look for ephedra stuff (mahaung and that kinda stuff). Tell her that it's not a good idea to take this with phen. Take her BP and pulseLook at her pupils and see if they are HUGE
Notice if she is over talkative
And find out how much water she is drinking and if she is sweating like she just ran a 10K.
OK ... Bye![]()
I'm at work and don't have the bottle with me but this is what I found on a website:
Adipokinetix takes fat burning to a new level with an exact combination of 1R,2S Norephedrine HCl, Yohimbine HCl, and Caffeine. 1R,2S Norephedrine HCl has been shown in studies to be the most potent thermogenic ephedrine alkaloid. Combined with Yohimbine HCl and Caffeine, individuals may lose several pounds of fat mass per week while simultaneously preserving their lean body mass. Unlike ephedrine, 1R,2S Norephedrine HCl passes much less through the blood-brain barrier thus greatly reducing the "wired" feeling so often experienced with ephedrine.
I only take one a day, I take my phen at 7:00 am and I take my fat burner around 12:00. I have been monitoring my blood pressure daily and it's never been high. On some days my pupils are dialated. I'm exercising 6-7 days a week so I'm not a sedentary person. I'm always talkative and hyper so I don't see much difference in that area. Adipo contains no ephedra. I have been sweating, I use to never sweat and now I am, which I thought was a good thing.
Let me know what you think.
I'm leaving work in about 45 minutes so if I don't have a response from you I'll check it when I get home tonight. Am very interested in your comments.
I'm on it Robin
KELBEL,
Do not take that **** -stuff!!!!!
Bad very very Bad!!!!
Tooo much stimulation can make you over stimulated![]()
If you want I can pull up an atricle but I think you get the idea.
Seriously--You really can cause problems with your Blood pressure. The FDA would love to get stuff like that off the market but the can't regulate supplements. There have been over 800 reports of women having strokes because of ephedra.High blood pressure is a silent killer. You wont have any side effects.

This fat burner does not have ephedra in it though. It's put out by a manufacturer called Syntrax and fat burner is called Adipokinetx. I'll have to look at home for the exact ingredients. I started taking it because it doesn't have ephedra in it.
This is the warning on the bottle.
(Norephedrine HCI is just another form of ephedra)

Thanks, I thought it was okay since it did not have ephedra. That's why i'm glad this forum is here. I'll stop taking it now.
I guess what we are trying to say is phen is already a central nervous system stimulant and you should never combine it with another central nervous stimulant.![]()
Danelady I have a question. Give us heads up on some of the other central nervous system products NOT to take with our Phen. I think it would be most helpful to those of us that don't know much about drug interactions.I take the crosstops on my days off of the Phen. Is this bad
See stuff like that. Thanks - How's those Pups of your doing? Got my Chow and one Mutt-hound shaved down for summer - they're so funny looking! LMAO. Take care
Stuff not to take:
decongestants (sudafed, etc.)
stuff with ephedra/ma huang in it
MAO inhibitors
No Doze
I'm sure there are more, but those are off the top of my head. I am not really sure why you shouldn't take sudafed but I just know you aren't supposed to. But I think antihistamines are OK.
SPAZZBUTT
How are you? Its been awhile!
Shaved Chows are a HOOT!
My Critters are doing great!! Been hitting the dogshow circuit hard. I'll be glad when the spring show season is over.
Here is a list of drugs you should not use. It came from the Mayo clinic.
Other Medicines
Although certain medicines should not be used together at all, in other cases two different medicines may be used together even if an interaction might occur. In these cases, your doctor may want to change the dose, or other precautions may be necessary. When you are taking appetite suppressants, it is especially important that your health care professional know if you are taking any of the following:
Amantadine (e.g., Symmetrel) or
Amphetamines or
Caffeine (e.g., NoDoz) or
Chlophedianol (e.g., Ulone) or
Cocaine or
Medicine for asthma or other breathing problems or
Medicine for colds, sinus problems, or hay fever or other allergies (including nose drops or sprays) or
Methylphenidate (e.g., Ritalin) or
Nabilone (e.g., Cesamet) or
Pemoline (e.g., Cylert) Using these medicines with sympathomimetic appetite suppressants may increase the central nervous system (CNS) stimulant effects, such as irritability, nervousness, trembling or shaking, or trouble in sleeping
Appetite suppressants (diet pills), other or
Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (citalopram [e.g., Celexa], fluoxetine [e.g., Prozac], fluvoxamine [e.g., Luvox], paroxetine [e.g., Paxil], sertraline [e.g., Zoloft]) Monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors (furazolidone [e.g., Furoxone], isocarboxazid [e.g., Marplan], phenelzine [e.g., Nardil], procarbazine [e.g., Matulane], selegiline [e.g., Eldepryl], tranylcypromine [e.g., Parnate]) Do not take an appetite suppressant while you are taking or less than 14 days after taking a monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor . If you do, you may develop sudden extremely high blood pressure
Tricyclic antidepressants (amitriptyline [e.g., Elavil], amoxapine [e.g., Asendin], clomipramine [e.g., Anafranil], desipramine [e.g., Pertofrane], doxepin [e.g., Sinequan], imipramine [e.g., Tofranil], nortriptyline [e.g., Aventyl], protriptyline [e.g., Vivactil], trimipramine [e.g., Surmontil]) Using these medicines with sympathomimetic appetite suppressants may cause high blood pressure or irregular heartbeat
Hope that helped
Oops Forgot something
I take claritin but not claritin-D
for allergy problems.
Linz,
Sudafed has Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride in it. Thats why you can't take it

For anyone who might have any information.
I as you can tell, also live in Texas, Dallas to be exact. Anyhow, I have been hearing in almost all radio stations and also reading in billboards about a "new" fat burning formula called "Body Solutions" which has an ingredient called CLA and a differnt one which I can't recall at this time. My question is, if you have heard of it, and if so what kind of info. you can share. All I know is that it is only to be taken at night, before you go to sleep and 3 hours must have passed since your last meal. You take 1 tbs of this mixed in with 8 oz of H20. I am trying to see if this is something that can also be taken while taking Phen, only at night.
The reason we are hearing so much about it is its based out of San Antonio.![]()
This is what CLA stand for:
Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) is becoming a weight loss superstar because of its effect to promote fat-burning and muscle growth. It has also been shown to be anti-carcinogenic and anti-inflammatory, while it improves blood lipid profiles; In studies, CLA has been shown to have a powerful effect to reduce body fat and increase lean body mass.
