I just had my first period while on Phen...it was kinda screwy.

Can Phen affect ovulation and hormone release and all that jazz?

Just wondering...

I wonder the same thing. My first period on phen was 3 weeks ago and it was really different. I ussually have no cramps, and light flow that only lasts 3 days. Well this time I cramped like crazy, had a super heavy flow and it lasted about 6 days. Are you experiencing similar changes?

I just finished my period, and I noticed that it was heavier and the first day I did cramp. This is very unusual because I am on b/c pills and I never have heavy flow or cramps!

Oh, well!

Well I am on depo & even 3 months before that I had not been having a period, and had been on depo for 3 months when I started phen w/ no period at all, since I started I have spotted every day! No real period yet, but I barely have had anything at all since I stopped breastfeeding my daughter like 8 months ago, and now it is every day a little something since starting phen!

Strangely, last month was the EASIEST month Ive had in as long as I can remember. I didnt get any of the mid cycle cramping....no PMS cramping...it started off really light (like brown..sorry to be gross) for a couple of days..then changed to regular bleeding. It was also lighter than usual with no cramping.

It was a little longer when all was said and done...but relatively light and painless.

Go figure? Ive started charting my temps in an effort to see if I am ovulating. Just wondering if anyone else had any weirdness.

Thanks for getting back to me!!

Menstrual irregularities.
The hormonal changes that occur in patients taking anorectic medications can also cause menstrual irregularities, including break through bleeding, heavier than normal bleeding, and abnormal ovulation patterns. Sometimes women already in menopause will notice spotting. Generally these irregularities subside as your body adjusts to the medication.

I find taking a Magnesium supplement helps with the cramps. It also helps with the Chocolate cravings

I just started phen last week and started my period 2 days ago. I have never bleed this heavy and it has been very red. Alarming at first until I read others comments.

Unhappy

I too have experienced abnormal periods since starting on Phen.

My cramps are worse, I have weird spot-bleeding for a couple of days before I actually start my period (unusual for me), and it just feels altogether...different.

I am glad to hear I am not alone.

I also experienced some pretty intense abdominal discomfort for several days BEFORE my actual period started this month...has any one else experienced this?
It was kind of scary...

Oh geez! All this is not encouraging. I just started taking phen within the past 5 days. Without it my period lasts 7 whole days but no cramps. I hope that Phen doesn't increase that!
