Generic Or Brand Name?

I went to get my prescription filled today and the pharmacy had the generic in stock. So my question is are the Generic just as good as the brand name or is there a different, Will my appetite be the way that it was on the brand. If anyone have any information on the difference of the two please let me know. The Generic cost 24.00

Could someone please reply with any information that they might have concerning the difference between brand name or generic.Will the pill work the same as the adipex 37.5.

Technically, there is no difference....BUT..people and their body chemistries CAN be different. I have seen posts from those who felt there was no difference. Then, there are those who felt the generic controlled appetite, but did not give the energy like Adipex. Then there are those who felt the generic was worthless...and those who can't stand the feeling Adipex gives them, and prefer the generic!

So, basically, you don't know til you try.

Thanks it was very nice of nice of you to reply I did go and get the generic brand and so far I haven't noticed much difference.But is there a post up on this website that tell you the side effects of generic verses brand name.

Mostly, the list of side effects I have seen on the web are for Phentermine in general and not divided into generic vs brand name. Alot of people feel that brand name versions have a higher incidence of side effects than generic versions. However, the dose taken can also be related, as well as any other meds that are used. I take Adipex, and fortunately, the only "bad" side effect I have is occasional insomnia.

I take the white generic 37.5 and I have lost 21 pounds in 3 weeks. BUT! I DO NOT get the burst of energy that some folks get with the Adipex. I like it like that, I still get my sleep. Controls the hunger very well.

HI Everyone Rebbecca87 are you talking about the white one that has r316 wrote on front of the pill. If so we are taking the same one and what side effects if any or you experencing. I was taking adipex 37.5 but my pharmacy got in the generic so I got those because I could no longer afford the brand name.

I am taking the same. I am REALLY thirsty ALL THE TIME. Thats about the only side effect for me. Controls the hunger, thats the main thing for me.
