prozac for binging?

Hi everyone--I told my Dr. that binging seemed to be a big downfall for me and she suggested Prozac. Has anyone ever tried this?
Has anyone ever taken Prozac with Phen?

I'd love to here any info anyone has

Hi Keri.....sorry no one has answered you yet. We all seem to be playing tonight and not very helpful except for nonsense.

I take Phen and Prozac and.....well....I'm still alive! I'm on a very low dose of Prozac, only 10mg's a day. Call a local pharmacy and ask their opinion......call several. I have done that several times when I wanted to get different "opinions" about something.

Thanks Moon--I'll try the pharmacy. I had always heard that Prozac can cause weight gain so I was surprised when my Dr. suggested it for weight loss (at least as far as binging goes).
We'll see what happens

Hi, I am not on Prozac. But am on Effexor and Phen. I have lost wieght faster and it does help with the binging mostly because if I look at food I feel sick. I have been on the Effexor for about 10 days and have lost 5 pds. Good luck..Remerber Water water water

Wow Moony, I didn't know you were on Prozac also, the Dr. gave it to me also, 10mg, I have enough saml=ples to last about 6 moths I think. But was afraid to try it, can you tell me about your experience with it? Thanks

Hi, I take prozac and Phentermine but not for binging although my doctor has told me that the prozac will work together with the Phentermine and help me lose weight easier.

I am sure you all can guess, I am NOT on prozac.... I have a bottle but I can never remember to take the things.... My doc did the script for the prozac with the phen, for a reason.

Maybe there is a drug to take that can help me remember to take the prozac, so that the prozac could encourage and give me the courage to take phen and eat healthy << ok that is the PSYCHO post for the day.

The diet doctor I go to gives her clients 200mgs of chromium picolinate a day along with the Phen for sugar cravings and binging. It seems to help.
