Adipex vs generic phen

I have lurking on this board for long enough. I have a question about Adipex. I started in Feb. taking 15mg phen (blue&white capsule) and lost 30 lbs. In May, there was no 15mg to be found so I went to the 37.5mg,which I like better...no headaches...
now, there is no 37.5mg anywhere and my original script is for the adipex so my question is... Has anybody seen any problems in changing meds so much? I have always taken the generic and have never taken adipex. I do know it is more$$. Good luck to everyone. By the way, I am from Houston,TX

Hi, I too have been taking the generic forms acouple different kinds and filled my pers. last week. They didnt have generic so i had to get the adipex, I found no differenc. some say you may, some seem to like the adipex better. I personally found it to be the same. I think we are all different and can respond differently to meds and also I think it depends on our mentlal outlook also. What I mean is that if you try a new pill and have a neg attitude towards it or feel that it wont work like the first one you may actually make yourself feel differently while on the drug. I hope this makes sense. My husband makes generic med. for a living (not phen) and he says that their is no difference. All meds use the same active ingredients. Hope this helps. jen

The only problem with changing meds is the confusion of trying to remember which one worked best. All phen should be white blue speck tablets .

I keep hearing about you all taking these blue speckled pills....why are mine all white? THey are really tiny (like water pills) and they are pure white. Hmmmmm.....I wonder....

Kerenliz...Mine are all white also and small like water pills...I was on phen about a year and a half ago and they were the same ones I am taking now (i think!)...are the blue/white speckled ones better????

I too am trying to decide which ones to take. I have been taking the white ones, but dont feel like they work any more.
I went to dr banana butt today, and I lost 2.5 more lbs. Ok 11 lbs the first 2 weeks and 2.6 lbs inthe next 4 weeks ????
I have lost about an inch off my waist though. I have been doing taebo.


Anyways, I think i may try the blue specked ones yall rave about, I am just afraid they will keep me up at night.

too bad the wine has calories... that makes me sleep, and I know its so bad for me to drink it right befor bed, but i do it anyways.... shame shame on me. I guess its one reason I only lost 2.5 lbs :-(

Dear Txcag,

I just got my new script this morning, and for the first time the capsule is green and clear, and the stuff inside is blue and white. Is that Apidex? The other ones I had were yellow capsules with white powder. They both say phentermine on the bottle and are 30 mg.

Does anybody order over the internet? It's expensive but you don't have to go and face down a doctor and beg for the stuff. I don't care for that aspect of it. I like to be in charge of my own body.

What is everybody eating that is losing weight, or should I say, not eating. Hee hee

By the way, I'm in Connecticut. Anybody else?

I refuse to beg also.WHen I did ask I was told to simply eat less. Can you believe it. Although it's so expensive it's worth avoiding the embarassment.I cut way back on the carbs and stopped the nighttime eating.Lost 30 pounds need to lose 20 more but now it comes off very slowly.Also I like to eat 4 or 5 mini meals.I stay away from the bread.Largest meal eaten around 4 PM. My pills are the white ones...you asked who the maker is? ok...my prescription bottle2 reads phentermine 37.5 mg tablets...they are white and it says P.316 on them. I only take once daily first thing in the morning on an empty stomach...they keep me wired...can't sleep at night. But I basically have to force myself to eat at lunch and I usually skip breakfast. My big meal is dinner time although we went out for steak tonight and I cut my steak and my potato in half and ended up eating only half of my potato and about 3-4 bites of steak and felt stuffed. Hi Robin You didn't see my posts because for some reason they were not posting, I guess i sometimes have a hard time figuring out how to use this new fangled computer.Anyway, Robin, is there ANY difference at all between the meds?Yellow Caps vs. white tablets? I like the tabs, you can break them in half!By the way a chat room would be a great idea.Do you have any idea how to set one up?Although I don't post very often everyone's comments keep me going (and laughing)!Have a great weekend
