Thread: help I am new....going on 4 days now...

    thanks everyone for responding to my other email about ordering online!!! Have another question....My doctor didn't put me on a diet per say ..he actually just handed me then phen and said see you in a month...but I am very serious about this and need help...I have never been this overweight..had a baby and still have 50 lbs to lose..she is 11 months old though..I have been drinking lots of water the past 4 days and no cokes or juice at all...just thought some of you that had been very sucessful could offer a hand and tell me how much you lost and how fast and what your tricks were....I am trying to eat low fat and low carb..but to me honest eating at all on this stuff is hard..except sometimes at night. Thanks ahead for the help..I need it..I want this off as fast as possible without doing damage to my body and metabolism..thanks you all have been great and I appreciate the support and when I am a sucess I will do the same!!!!

    I must say, I really dislike when doctors hand their patients diet meds and NO INSTRUCTION. You'll get better and more useful advice here! How many mg of Phen...and in what form? ( capsule or tablet...and describe color, etc.)do you have? I had 34 lbs to loose when I started Phen...took 2 1/2 mos to loose 10 lbs. Generally, the more you have to loose, the faster, in the beginning. I don't exercise so that's probably keeping things slow. So, you should exercise(don't do as I do, do as I say.... Don't stop eating; I was advised (by website doctor) to have 1100 cal/ day. It's better to divide up your meals...don't just eat at night. That's what I have for advice at this time....I'm sure you'll hear from others.

    Thanks sonny for the advice ....I have always been active , used to run 5 miles a day before I got pregnant and gained all of this...now I know why you never see fat people running....it hurts too much!! I do ride my bike and walk...can't fit into my workout clothes and to be honest just finished nursing a baby and have huge breasts..so running is out for obivious reasons. I am taking the 37.5 pill I think...its a white chalky pill and has blue dots. Thanks again for your advice and good luck to you also!!!

    There are no tricks !

    Exercise is the #1 way to accelerate your loss!

    Don't skip meals, start you day with fruit or cereal.

    Eat veggie and fruit, no one I know eats enough of these. We all consume WAY too much processed food for convenience sake.

    Modify intake of carbs. These fat free foods are generally loaded with carbohydrates and calories. You will be over your limit before you can say boo!

    Keep calorie level above 900 or you will damage your metabolism and fall into what we call "the starvation mode". The body shuts down into low gear to conserve energy in order to protect you.

    WATER, WATER, WATER and more WATER. Diet drinks and tea cannot take its place.

    I am a newbie still as well but I always like anyones input or ideas. I will be on 3 weeks as of tomorrow and have lost 6 lbs. Slow but hopefully permanent.

    Sounds like you are off on the right track. I have been on phen for about 3 weeks now. At first I thought it wasnt working because I was still hungry if not hungrier. Crazy huh? Well, to my surprise I have lost 10lbs! I imagine it will slow down now but it sure did motivate me to keep going! I also have been exercising. About an hour 3-5 times a week. Watching what I eat and all that good stuff too. I am having trouble keeping the calories up believe it or not. I get so busy I forget to snack on something (like fruit) and I dont want to pile it on at meal time you know? I have been doing bran cereal w/skim milk for breakfast, piece of fruit for snack, light lunch like salad or tuna sandwich, fruit snack (if I remember) and then dinner around 6:00 p.m. I tend to have a heavier dinner because I get realllly hungry around 8:30-9:00 p.m. I try really hard not to consume anything but water after 7:00 p.m. So far it has been working. I started out with 35 lbs to lose. Now I have about 25 give or take. Good luck!

    P.S. Don't forget water, water, water. All the time, every day until you pee white!! ha ha ha

    Hey Blondeone, I just started Phen on Tuesday. If you need some to help keep you motivated (I know I do), Stay in touch. So far I have lost three pounds. I am walking and eating a LOT less. Good luck.

    you should try to find out as much info. as you can about the drug phentermine I started taking it on MArch 13, 2000 And I have lost 53lbs so far. I exercise three times a week I consume no more than 1200 calories a day and 22 grams of fat. Good look and I hope you succede....
