Hi there!! You lost 111lbs. in just 6 months? Oh my god that is soooo great!! I have lost about 30lbs. since I started in the middle of March but I would like to lose about 70 more lbs. Now you know that I have some questions as to how you did it. First of all what did or do you eat everyday? What type of exercise did or do you do and how often? Did you see more inches or lbs. disappear? Man I am so excited!! I am so proud of you!!! I can't wait until I can boast about losing 100lbs. Keep up the good work Rosa you have a lot to be proud of!! Thanks for any answers and or advise you can provide it will be greatly appreciated!!

Well everyone, I would like to encourage everyone to stay healthy while we're on Phen.

I began to understand my body structure in terms of my diet pattern. As I tend to retain most of what I eat, therefore I need to reduce my carby intake and increase my protein intake.

Regular exercise help me to stay focus and keep fit and increase my staminar and endurance to more physcial activity.

I used to weight 107kg before I started on Phen. And now, it is after 2.5 months, I have lost over 22kg and my weight is stabling down and instead I loosing inches on my mid section instead.

Do watch what we eat. No sodas, chocolates, ice-cream, full cream milk and cakes. Do cut down on high carby foods, i.e. bread, rice and potatos.

Keep it going "up up up"!

Lets hear it for Nikki and Rosa!!!

    Cheers
    Ben

    NikkiM,
Hi. You are not alone in this battle of losing weight!! I too was 262lbs. when I first decided to go and see a Bariatric Dr. about losing weight. I had tried Metabolife but I gained 5lbs. instead of losing and boy was I pissed I had heard from one of my co workers about this dr. so I decided to go and check him out.:sarcastic:
At first I started out on Phendimetrazine and I lost 21.5lbs in about 45 days. So when I went back I asked for phentermine and so far I have lost a total of about 30lbs. or so. I would like to lose about 70 more lbs. to make it and even 100lbs.So you see you are not alone!!! I think that this is a great forum for the support, encouragement,
advice, and hell even that good laugh you might need to get through this weight loss ordeal. I know that it has helped and still is helping me. If you need a weight loss buddy, well you can count me in . My e-mail address is www.TEEVAR1****.com. Good luck and remember you are not alone.

Teresa, 30lbs. is also great! I believe if you loose any wiehgt it is something to be proud of because it's hard just to loose a few lbs. and when you loose over 10lbs. I believe you really should get a pat on the back!
Like I said before I believe the reason I lost so much wieght was because I was so so heavy. What I did was start out walking and I was very faithful to walking. I worked about 2 miles from downtown and what I would do (and i'm still doing this) is park my car downtown and walk to work from downtown and back after work. The inches began falling off like crazy. After a while I began to jog which really did wonders for me. Now I'm jogging and using Body Flex which a really great breathing exercise which you will see inches drop within the first week. I can't stress the fact that YOU HAVE TO DRINK PLENTY OF WATER. WATER, WATER, AND MORE WATER. For my diet what I did was try and eat eight times a day. I would eat 1/2 of what I would normally eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and eat fruit and vegs. in between. I tried to cut out as many sweets as poss. and if you can that will be great. Also allow yourself one cheat day every 14 days.
I look forward to hearing your success story soon!

    Cool

    Nikki:
I have been on phentermine since mid-february and have lost more than 30 lbs. I really did not have any symptoms except for being very thirsty. I drink at least 2 liters of water every day. I keep my fat intake well under 30 grams of fat per day and take in no more than 1400 calories, that and chasing around my 3 year old does wonders. I just found this board today and have to wonder why I had not found it sooner. Remember to do it for you and each day will be a good one!

Me, Body flex is a type of areobic exercise but instead of doing all of the jumping around and the 45 min. workout it is a 15 min. workout of breathing and streaching, it is really great if you want to know more go to WWW. BODYFLEX.COM. read some of the post there, let me know how it goes if you decide to try it

Hi I started taking phen on March 6th and have lost 65 pounds and have 20 left. This last 20 is a pain in the but. I also was at my heaviest 225 so I can relate to you all. but when the weight came off I was so inspired.

Hi. I know there are already several Dianes on this board, and am sorry to further muddy the waters... I started reading the posts about four days ago when I started phen. I cannot tell all of you how much this has helped me, because I, like some of you, have well over 100 pounds to lose. Actually, I think I had given up hope of ever losing all the weight I needed to lose and was just at the point of trying to keep things from getting any worse. I had basically resolved myself to the fact that I was fat and I was going to stay fat. I had had some success with low-carb dieting several times, but always gave up when the restrictiveness just got to be too much.

I have read so many posts about having trouble with boyfriends/husbands not being supportive, or that it's assumed they wouldn't be, so I have to go on the record for the guys here. It was my boyfriend (and no, I'm not sharing him!) who actually suggested to me that maybe I could find something that would help me do what I needed to do to help me with this problem. I know he obviously loves me even if I'm overweight - I have the same body now I had when I met him, but, primarily for health reasons, and, he being only human, for looks as well, he would love to see me lose this weight. But I had always been a "diet drugs are bad" person and had formed an iron-clad opinion that using any drug to help was not the "right" way to lose the weight. I'm a medical transcriptionist and I know quite clearly the common medical outlook on excess weight - that it's unhealthy and those people should just lose it - seems to be the accepted attitude. No hows, whys, wherefores, and the docs I transcribe for don't seem to be offering much help or guidance to their patients on this subject. They just tell them to lose it, and it's easy to see by the tones in their voices that they don't really expect them to lose the weight - it's almost as if they don't even believe in what they're telling their patients to do - eat less fat and exercise more. But I digress. When my boyfriend suggested I find something to help me, we sat down and really talked about it. He said that he had seen me try to lose and he knows I had the right idea and that I really tried - he saw my efforts. His opinion was that there had to be something that could just help the whole process be easier to accomplish. His comment was "You can do it, but no one could do what you have to do to lose for as long as you would have to do it, at least not without any help. I know I couldn't." So we started doing some research and I spoke with a doctor, and he actually recommended and prescribed phen for me.

I started last Friday, and as I've said, I have A LOT to lose, but I've lost 9.5 pounds as of this morning, Monday. Not a bad weekend. My doc put me on the 37.5 dose and the pharmacy said they didn't have any manufactured phen, so they had to mix the compounds themselves, but my doc okayed it. It's a purple capsule and it's working just fine (after reading the posts, though, I have to wonder what the blue specks might do!). The bottom line is that it seems to be doing just what we had hoped for, which is to make it MUCH less of a struggle to eat the way I need to eat to lose this weight, give me the energy to get up off my butt and move around more, and keep me from becoming a homicidal maniac while I'm doing it. This may be premature, but I've actually had thoughts today about exactly how much I would have to lose to get down to a goal weight, and believe me, it's been years since I even considered the possibility. That's the most exciting thing that's happened to me in a while, let me tell you. And finding this site has helped a lot, because you all seem to be really supportive and happy to share. I've gotten good tips, such as don't eat for an hour after taking your phen in the morning, and the water, water, water I read about everywhere, and you guys must be on to something because I'm thrilled so far. I know the loss will slow down (although being done with this process in a month and a half would be fine with me!), but I think all I ever needed was some help and I feel like I have it now. Losing weight is nobody's idea of a good time, but now I don't think it has to be the nightmare I had made it into, either. So thanks. You do good things here.
