Wish me luck! I have been on adipex for 3 months (lost 9.5 pounds the first month, 4.5 pounds the second month and gained 4 pounds the 3rd month!!!). I've always been a slow loser (had been doing weight watchers for 2 years and am down 68 pounds). I'll claim responsibility for this last month with vacation and not counting calories, but I thought I would have lost more than 10 pounds in 3 months!!! By the way, I currently weigh 185.5.
I could definitely feel the appetite suppresant benefits of the adipex weakening this last month so the P.A. at the weight loss clinic I go to switched me to bontril 105 mg. I just took it today and can already feel the effects. I am totally committed to starting over and making sure I get all of my protein / water / calories. One thing he told me kind of threw me through a loop - he said I was exercising too much????? Exercise is something that I do religiously and have done for the last 2 years. I usually strength train 2-3 times a week and do cardio (running / spinning) 3 times a week. He wants me to work out no more than 45 minutes and burn no more than 500 calories. Does that sound right to everyone? I am currently eating 1200 calories and had been burning an average of 600 - 900 calories per workout. I always thought more is better when it comes to burning calories. What do you all think?
