Default I'm baaaaack
I was on a break from everything: school, relationship (permanent break), phenD..the one thing I did continue with was exercise. Although, in the last 2-3 weeks I haven't had the time to really focus on it. I do manage to squeeze maybe 2 workouts a week.

Anyway, I lost 5 lbs since I've been away. For me, that is major! I didn't even anticipate that i would be losing anything. I was struggling and halted at 138 for the longest time. And when I wasnt expecting it, dropped 5 more lbs. I may very well reach my goal of 130 by the end of the month!

I can't tell you all how exciting this has been for me. To try on my old jeans and have them hanging off my body. I can literally pull them down buttoned up and zipped without a problem. The most exciting revelation was when i finally went shopping for jeans... I'm fitting into size 26 waist jeans! I swear i died and gone to heaven...

Everyone can tell that I've lost weight....some are getting concerned that I am even tooo skinny now! But my sister in law keeps it real, and says im skinny but I'm not anorexic. She'll let me know when I'm nearing that.

Anyway, I wanted to come back on and share my excitement. Most of the people these days are new, and I'd like to say hello and welcome you on this board. It's a great place for support. It definitely help me along my journey. I have a few advice for the newbies:


1. drink lots of water!
2. eat regularly and make healthier choices..don't dip below 1000 calories
3 measure yourself as well as weigh. You wont always see the skinnier you reflected on the scale. But it should be seen in your measurements.
4. Exercise! Try different things til you find something you like.
5. plateaus are inevitable. Be patient, you'll break through it.
6. Try the zone diet--- it works.

Default Staying on the Ball
I to am new but at my best time I was working out 8 hours a day six in the gym before work and also 6 after work and then work out videos before bed I worked hard not pills just working out I lost enough I was trying to go to the military and I was close. But like you ppl started to tell me about how thin I was getting and you need to eat. They would pick you up to take you to dinner or suprise you with donuts in the morning. The best part is when you run into the ppl that say you haven't lost enough they type of friends that eat infront of you but stick it in your face oh this is so good but you can't have any because your on a diet and you still have to lose weight. which by that point in time your happy but unsure. I let it get to me unfortunatly and I grew and grew and grew 8 hour of work outs was to much and my doctor prescribed phen which is working gret with my life style and this time I will not let them get to me that is why I love this website! I needed this..... this safe zone! But I responded to you to say that is so great you did it! Just don't let them get you down! ...... and in all fairness some actually thinking they are helpping but when they would tell me I was too skinny here eat this when I gained they were the same to say dang you've gotten big again you let yourself go again. Do it for yourself and not for them because no matter what they are never happy!
My Grandmother use to say "If there is a WILL there IS A WAY!! right before she past away this last April her last words to me on her death bed way "You can do it... if you want to lose weight eat rice and the McDonalds fish filet with out the bun! Thats what I did to lose weight..." I love my grandmother and although that diet doesn't work for everyone I understand what she ment.

You are so right! They same people who tell me I'm too skinny, are in fact the first ones to tell me I'm too fat when I gain weight. I've actually never heard them ever satisfied with my weight...ever!

But yeah, I've gotten real good at tuning them out.

All of you are right...you have to do it for yourselves, because who is going to be there with you in the late hours of the night when you get a craving? YOU! Who's going to look good in that outfit that you are justing waiting to fit into? YOU! Who will laugh them all to the bank? YOU! I say to H. E. Double Hocky Sticks to them...lol! Do you!
