I was on a break from everything: school, relationship (permanent break), phenD..the one thing I did continue with was exercise. Although, in the last 2-3 weeks I haven't had the time to really focus on it. I do manage to squeeze maybe 2 workouts a week.
Anyway, I lost 5 lbs since I've been away. For me, that is major! I didn't even anticipate that i would be losing anything. I was struggling and halted at 138 for the longest time. And when I wasnt expecting it, dropped 5 more lbs. I may very well reach my goal of 130 by the end of the month!
I can't tell you all how exciting this has been for me. To try on my old jeans and have them hanging off my body. I can literally pull them down buttoned up and zipped without a problem. The most exciting revelation was when i finally went shopping for jeans... I'm fitting into size 26 waist jeans! I swear i died and gone to heaven...
Everyone can tell that I've lost weight....some are getting concerned that I am even tooo skinny now! But my sister in law keeps it real, and says im skinny but I'm not anorexic. She'll let me know when I'm nearing that.
Anyway, I wanted to come back on and share my excitement. Most of the people these days are new, and I'd like to say hello and welcome you on this board. It's a great place for support. It definitely help me along my journey. I have a few advice for the newbies:
1. drink lots of water!
2. eat regularly and make healthier choices..don't dip below 1000 calories
3 measure yourself as well as weigh. You wont always see the skinnier you reflected on the scale. But it should be seen in your measurements.
4. Exercise! Try different things til you find something you like.
5. plateaus are inevitable. Be patient, you'll break through it.
6. Try the zone diet--- it works.
