And so it begins
Hi all,
Just wanted to introduce myself real quick. I've read the forum a little bit before I registered...you are all doing great on your weight lost journeys!
I started the medi/zone diet On Saturday so I'm just now nearing the end of day 2. It's being pretty closely monitored by an ob/gyn in town so I feel pretty safe about it. I'll be going in for weekly weigh ins and also will receive the medication from the doctors office each week. She has started me out on Phendimetrazine 35mg 2 pills 3 times a day, Calcium Pyruvate 2 pills twice a day, and prenatal vitamin once a day. Also I receive my first MIC injection on Friday..which was a cocktail of Methionine, Inositil, Choline, Chromic Chloride and Vitamin B12..seems like a lot of stuff to put into my body LOL.
First day I felt pretty damn good after taking those pills. I did get a little bit jittery, but it lasted maybe 30-45 minutes after each dose and then I had just nothing but pure energy..it was almost euphoric. It also felt like the spit was literally ****ed from my mouth. Didn't sleep too well but thats not the end of the world. All in all I was pretty happy about the first day.
Today not so much.....did not get the euphoric feeling today..didn't really feel much of an energy surge at all..in fact I felt pretty low on energy and spirits all day. I also did not get the dry mouth today. Wondering why I felt the drugs effects the first day but not the second? Also I felt hungrier today, although I managed to ignore the hunger pangs and stuck to my diet, which currently consists of only 10 servings of protein a day until I'm in ketosis(which I pray is tomorrow).
I literally drank a gallon of water yesterday and another gallon today. As of Friday, I was drinking anywhere from 6-7 or even more diet cokes a day. Starting Saturday, I opened 1 can in the morning both days, and sipped from it as needed. I'm proud to say I never finished a full can and so far have not had any caffeine headaches.
Just taking it a day at a time I guess. Not worrying this first week about exercise too much but I do want to start adding some in and increasing it as my tolerance grows. I have been watching my mother on this diet now since May and she has lost over 40lbs..she never had much to lose to begin with and she looks fantastic now. I have a lot of weight to lose so I know it's going to be a longer process for me. I hope in the end to have lost the weight I need to live a healthy life and to learn how to maintain and make healthy choices without the benefit of medications.
Is anyone else on the medizone weight loss or similar plan? Keep up the good work.!
