My name is Jaynelle, pronounced: Jay- Nail... most people misspronounce it and say Janell. I have always been called Jay. My brother calls me Jay-Jay. My mom calls me JanieBabe. Most people call me JayBaby. I have a habit of putting "Baby" on the end of someone's name if Im close to them.
example: Michelle = ShellyBaby... Steve = StevieBaby... Jeff = JeffieBaby

Wow! These are interesting names and meanings! LOL You all are the best!

My screen name is tifftiff8 = tiffany (my first name and what my neices and nephews call me) and 8 = new beginnings in the Bible. So in 2008.....I have had a lot of new beginnings and it has been positive. I have had to make some tough decisions along the way and some weren't so tough. Over all I can say that this year has been about me. Not just the kids or relationship(s)....but about getting some of me back and not settling!

Ok ladies..I'm going to add to the mix of strange names...

First of all NY L8DY is just my nickname i've picked up from moving around...I'm originally from NY, yet I spent most of my post-college life in DC. No matter what, I always stick to my NY roots...and the L8DY part...anyone that ever meets me says that I'm "anything BUT a lady"...hehe...I was a sailor in my past life!

Now, as for my name...ALEECIA
And no, it's not a misprint...I blame my parents everyday for the spelling! It's pronounced Aleeeesha. hehe
Funny thing is though, I'm called Elisha, Elyssa, Alisha...everything BUT Aleecia. And my parents put in 2 E's so people would call me ALEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECIA!!!! hehe
In college, I got so annoyed, I would introduce myself as "Aleecia with 2 E's."...people never forgot!

So, that's me!

my name is from my kids. 1st. 3 letters of each one. Ken - Kendra, Cha- Chaise, Dak- Dakota. I will always keep because I shall have no more children. I am also so proud of my bbies.

This is very informative. I'm digging what the names mean even when they are simple...it's cool to know!!

I do have to jump on the 'Alisha, elicha Aleesha' thing though. Be glad girls...I've had people call me Shag, Shak, Shad, Shab, Shane, Shar, She, and my personal favorite Shoe!! All from a typed printing of the name Shae. I've had it spelled Shea, Shay, Shai, Chey, Chay, and Sha...it seems NOBODY ever thinks SHAE...it's the strangest thing.

Oh, I get called Shanaynay all the time just because....and Shaniqua because people actually think Shae is short for Shaniqua or Shaylynn or something. When I tell them my real middle name they are like "huh?"

I think I can put the Alisha, elischa, aleesha's to shame. My legal name is Jerrad. That's right, like the Subway guy. And I just happen to be overweight (But I hate Subway) I thank my mother for being in love with a soap opera actor with the first name Jared. If that isn't enough, she gave me my uncle's middle name.

I've been called Jerald, Jerard, Jerri (I HATE Jerri)..you name it. Not to mention most people assume I have a p*nis. Luckily folks tend to call me Jai as that is how I introduce myself to strangers. It's pronounced Jay. Top that!

If I ever decide I want kids, then yep. My mother really wants the tradition to continue. Ariq (Eric) for a boy/girl name. And I'm totally digging Elliot lol I watch WAAAAY too much scrubs

My id name is Goth cause I love goth clothing/skater clothing/punk clothing and the princess is a nickname(spoiled princess).

My real name is Jona...pronounced Johnna. I've been called Donna, Jo na, etc. I have a friend who has known me for 35yrs and he still calls me Jo na. If people say my name wrong when they call, then I know it's someone that doesn't know me and I usually just hang up. My freshman english teacher argued with me on how to pronounce my name so I'd never answer her unless she said it right. LOL
