I am also a past-phen user from about 2 1/2 years ago. I took it for only 2 months, and kept eating right and exercising regularly for another year. But when all that stopped, the weight has slowly crept back on. I've been back where I started for about 6 months now.

I've been looking around the site hoping for find someone that has found something besides phen that REALLY works. So my question is - after being on the phenD now for more than 1 day, how do you feel? Does it curb your appetite AND give you energy? I took phen without a doctor, and cannot afford to pay what it now costs. It's almost triple what it was then.

    Good luck!

the only thing that "REALLY WORKS" is you....phen and phend are similar, and are just tools to help you....not miracle pills. You ketp that weight off by eating right and exercise..that is what works.

So, here I am in 2008 weighing the same thing I did when I was 9 months pregnant with each of my three children. I guess it didn't hit me that I was so overweight because I work out at the gym and my weight is solid and most people just call me "curvy"...but to me, its overweight.

I just went to the diet doctor here and after talking about meds she suggested I try PhenD instead (phendimetrazine - Bontril) because of its success and less side effects than phentermine. She says they hardly ever give out phentermine anymore because PhenD is that much better....we'll see. She also put me on vitamins twice a day and another medication that contains L-phenlyamine (spelling might be wrong) an amino acid that causes 'pleasure' sensations in the brain and the feeling of fullness (its one of the ingredients in chocolate that supposedly makes us feel pleasure) but it must be taken with Vitamin B supplements in order to work well...FYI, in case you ask for it...you can also get it at vitamin stores.

Anyway, started PhenD yesterday, felt very energetic but not jittery or crabby, didn't sleep deeply last nite but awoke easily this morning which is NEW because I hate getting out of bed on the weekends...LOL.

I'm looking forward to shedding these chunky curves in exchange for some svelter ones...and to buying a new, smaller size jean in a couple of months. Also, I'm a photographer of models, so being around those beautiful thin girls takes a toll on my ego, somewhat at times. They just tell me I'm not 'young' anymore and to not let it get to me. Drats....when did I get old???

    Thanks for listening!
I think phend is just as good as phentermine, i have taken both...it's just the phend doesn't last as long so you have to take more than one a day ....i used to forget to take the second tablet ...

anyhow it sounds like you are going to do great

I took Phen 37.5mg for a month and was only able to lose 11 pounds (and that was in the first 5 days of taking it). The other 4 pounds I lost 3 weeks later after stopping taking Phen for a few days. I talked the doc into prescribing PhenD for me this weekend. I told him the Phen stopped supressing my appetite after the first few days. He wrote a prescription for PhenD 105mg daily. I'm gonna get it filled today or tomorrow and see how it works for me. Wish me luck.

good luck..i'm curious how it goes for you. I've had better luck with phentermine than I did with phen-D but i wasn't taking the 105mg....I also think I was depending on the phend to do all the work and we all know by now that that isn't how it works....
I did it!! Reached goal and have been here for quite a while thanks to low carb eating and working out like crazy! Phen didn't work for me, but that isn't to say that there aren't other ways. God bless all of you!

Well, I took my first PhenD this afternoon. I did notice that it seemed to curb my appetite. I also noticed just a tad more energy. I didn't feel any energy with Phen, I only felt sluggish, so this was a good sign. I just hope the PhenD positive effects stick with me longer than the Phen did.

I began taking phendimetrazine in the Winter of 2007, and it worked fine for me. I hope it does the same for you. Good luck.

I started taking PhenD in mid-March and I've had great success with it. I take the 35 mg tablets 3 times a day before breakfast, lunch and dinner. It usually curbs my appetite just fine (which is miraculous considering I'm eating very little) and I seem to have plenty of energy. More importantly it doesn't cause me nearly the side effects that phentermine did (dizziness, dry mouth, moodiness, sleeplessness).

I'm doing a medically supervised high protein, low carb program with the PhenD and B12 injections and so far, I've done really well. I lost 9 lbs in my first week on the program and 2-3 for the past 3 weeks.

    Default I'm taking Phen-D too

Hi everybody, I'm Cristy from Miami, FL. Well, I have been on Phen D since end of November, well actually the end of December. MY doctor actually started me off with an anti-depressant to get out all the anxiety first before starting Phen-D. That part did work. I used to drinnk 3 cans of soda a day and now I am down to NONE....

I have lost like 20 pounds total... basically in 4 months... i think its honestly too too slow. I could have done that on my own, but I am going ot continue because I think in the long run it works...

I go this coming week and most likely the doctor will finally give me phentermine he gives it to some patients not all, I guess, because it is the strongest one he has. He likes to gradually get you into taking it. I am going to go in and exxagerate that I am hungry still all the time...

Any suggestions?? Any suggestions also in what I should add to make the process a little faster, besides exercising of course..... like special vitamins, supplements.

Thanks and nice to meet all of you.

Hello guys! I am a long time phen user also. I just this week changed to PhenD/Bontril. I switched because I have taken phen for so long (off & on) that it really wasn't doing much for me anymore. I no longer feel any extreme energy (gosh I miss those days, I used to clean the whole house top to bottom!), no longer feel like I can go days without eating, no dry mouth, nothing but a small amount of hunger control. I guess when I switched I was expecting a sudden change or to feel different. The truth is I feel exactly the same as when I was taking the phen last week. I was wondering if any of you that had switched had noticed a change or if it was about the same? For a long time, once I was off ohen for a year or so and went back on, it worked like new again. But now it only lasts about a week and then I'm back to just a little appetite control. I am even getting the lipotropic B-12 injections with it, and I still don't feel much more energy. Just wondering if this is all normal, or just me.
