I've been trying to get into the chat section on my computer at home for weeks now. I finally have read on JAVA.com that it may not be my problem. Seems that some chat providers are using an older version of chat software and those of us running windows xp service pak 2 may not be able to access chat. That would explain why I can get on chat at my office on my circa 2000 computer, but every other computer I try that is newer, I can't get the java applet to pop up.

There is also some sort of java code the site hosts can put in their java program to make our newer computers able to get the java applet to run. If they would go to www. java .com it is explained there.

Can we please have the chat software updated so we can all chat?????
