HELP i am almost out of my prescription and he just emailed me to let me know he is closing down...unreal i just started a few months ago too. Anyone ? I am in sw florida and NOBODY will prescribe it for me here...

Well, I just got an email from one of the workers their and my script is suppose to be ready by 5 p.m. tonight.

hello again. i just called walgreens and my perscription is there.

i'm not sure i will be able to fill it again next month, but it's there at walgreens.

i'm going to pick it up tonight. also, i emailed one of the staff asking for a refund and the lady sent me an email back saying she didn't know what was going on, but that my perscription had already been called in.

i have no idea what's going on.

Each state has a database that contains physician licensure information, along with any complaints, formal judicial filings, license status etc....

As you can see, he is still valid, with an extremely clean records, no violations. And, more to the point, the DEA does not revoke licenses of any nature....

Did anyone else find the language in his letter appalling? The man graudated med school and has authored numerous reports and studies for publication, surely he knows proper grammar and how to run spell check. Maybe, just maybe, he didn't write it....

Enforcement Administration demanded that I immediately surrender
my Drug Enforcement Administration License.

She told me that I was in violation of Federal Law and I was given by her two
choices:

1. Surrender my Drug Enforcement License Immediately

that she would bring the full power of the United States Government
to bear against me in a Federal Lawsuit and that I would face up
imprisonment in federal prison up to five (5) years.

As a result of her threats and my lack of rersources to fight the federal
powers that she represents I chose to voluntarily surrender my DEA license.

This means that I will no longer be able to provide you with treatment
for your over weight problems (or other medical problems in which I
would need to be licensed by the Drug Enforcement Administration)
effective immediately.

I retain my medical license and my future plans are up in the air at present,
but I have several other medical opportunities that I will explore
as well as several non-medical opportunities and I will keep you informed
as I make my decision (s) about my medical and non-medical future plans
which include other possible services (some medical and some non-medical) that
I plan to offer that may be of service to you.

As you can imagine this comes as a tremendous shock and loss to
me and to my medical staff.

I want to tell you what a privilege it has been for me and my staff
to be able to treat you for your overweight problem for the past eight
years and I hope that we have been able to provide you with guidance
and help in overcoming your overweight problem.

I urge you to follow my recommendations to learn to eat less
and to make it a habit so you can attain a normal and healthy body weight
and then to be able to retain it to improve your health and to live
a long, healthy, and joyful life.

I find the decision at great odds with the reality of our national
obesity problem and the fact that in eight years and treating over
7,500 patients through our website at www.absolutelythin.com that
we have had great success in helping our patients and that we have
never harmed anyone.

My inability to prescribe DEA controlled substances is effective
immediately and according to the DEA official irrevocably.

I took issue with her allegations with which I did not agree, but I
do not have the resources to fight the full powers of the U.S. Government.

The official never looked at or considered a great deal of information
that I had gathered in advance of our meeting that support what
was in my opinion a perfectly legitimate, effective. and innovative
medical approach to helping solve our national obesity epidemic
with which we have had great success.

In the two days since I had emailed my request for your help I had printed

additional medical and scientific information) that would support the
basis of our methology for treating obesity.

She and her assistant never bothered to review a single page of the
material I provided to her which included copies of your emails all
of which I found very thoughtful and touching.

It has been a privilege serving you and I will keep you informed
as to my future plans and activities if I feel they might be of benefit

I'm not sure on this and curious...

Is it still a felony if the script wasn't mailed to you? Dr Branch called all of his scripts into your local pharmacy, atleast that's how mine was done....it was never mailed.
