Need a Doc near Houston

I am new to the board and I am very impressed with all of the progress I have been reading about from the other members. I have asked my normal family doctor to prescribe me phentermine and he refused. I am desperate to find a doctor who will let me try phentermine. Anyone know of any docs in the Houston area that will prescribe it?

Sorry it took me so long to find your question. I haven't been on in a while.

Look under fitslim .com or look up Dr. Birken (ob-gyn) off 45. If neither one is near you, I would go to www. asbp . org and look through this list. I did this to find my dr. I called first and asked about the weight loss program to see if they mentioned phen, meridia before wasting my money & time.

Thank you so much amjam2. I checked the resources you listed and both of them are really far from me (I am on the SE side, closer to Clear Lake / Pearland), but if I can't find anything closer, I will definitely use one of those docs.
If anyone else has any suggestions on Houston docs, please let me know.

I go to the Internet Medical Clinic-Southwest-you can pm for all the info-if you like-they have a pretty reasonable program. If you decide to go there please give my name as a reference..they have a referral program..I am Diana Delgado and my dob is 2/21/68.

Thanks for the suggestions on docs. I actually found one very close to my office! I went today and they did a complete physical ran some bloodwork and did an EKG. They gave me a B12/Myoden shot but I have to wait unil Monday or Tuesday to pick up my prescription. They want to be sure my test results are normal. So, I should be starting on the meds this week. I am so excited! Thanks again!

How far are you from Baytown? Let me know I just found out that they have a new clinic that has opened up here off of 146 N .
I am gonna start going there and it is not expensive at all .

Just throwing it out there but I'm in the Houston area and I received my prescription from Lakewood Family Practice on Louetta RD. They do require an EKG and bloodwork before you'll get the prescription and you have to come back once a month for bloodwork so they can monitor you but my doctor was very positive about me starting Phentermine.
