looking for a doctor in Portland, OR

I was wondering if anyone has found a doctor in Portland, OR that will write ** for weight loss drugs such as Phentermine and Meridia?

I went to see Dr. Darm (a Bariatrician) in Lake Oswego for a "free" consultation and found out in order for him to write ** for Phentermine or Meridia you must be enrolled in one of his "weight loss programs" which can cost up to 1200 bucks a month.

Bleh....I don't need that.

My doctor said that he wouldn't write a ** for anything except Xenical for me because of my blood pressure (it was high-normal at the time) so I went the Internet ** route. Funny that my blood pressure is quite normal now. I may go see him for one last request before I tell him to go take a flying you know what.

But if any of you have found a doctor that will write weight loss ** with a reasonable care plan (I would not have a problem with an office visit every 6 weeks) then please post the contact info.

I will do the same if I find a doctor that isn't weight-loss ** paranoid myself.

You may want to try Vancouver over the bridge. The doctors are more liberal over there. Good luck!
