I don't have teenagers so I can't say I know how to motivate him. but the fact that you and your husband are willing to do the weightloss thing with him shows how much you care.
Just take it slow get him to walk 3or4 days a week for about 30 minutes. Once the weight starts dropping he will see its possible. Phen is a wonderful drug. Just let him know he's been given a chance to break out of the shell but he has to want it. Its a long process but he can do it!!!
