I'm here!! And proud to report that I lost 3 pounds!! My weight is now 210, so I've got to continue to do my exercises, cut back on the daily calories, sweets and carbs, and up my water intake (drank a lot of water today). And I also did not eat anything after 7:30 pm tonight, one of the things we did in that challenge, something that is not easy to do, but is very effective for weight loss -- I want to be in Onederland, definitely by the end of July, but it ain't easy, whew!!!

Took some time today to read over the posts I wrote when I joined my very first challenge, the Valentine's Day challenge (LZ was the leader of that one as well!), was going over my eating habits and the things I used to do. I saw that I was eating small meals throughout the day, foods that were low in carb and high in protein, and I was definitely drinking my water and exercising faithfully, so that's what I've got to continue to do to keep the scale going down.

LZ, have a great vacation, and we'll talk to you when you get back! I'm tired, so here's to everyone having a great night's sleep, TTYL!

nice job CD..you are doing so well...

I ate horribly today...........ddin't go to the hospital and felt super guilty...ate alot of junk food.

Hey Scat, no need to feel horrible with your eating; you've got a lot on your mind in helping to care for your dad, and definitely don't feel guilty about not getting to the hospital. You have been going to see him a lot, and it's tough running back and forth in addition to all the other things you have to get done at home -- you've got to rest too, and your dad understands that. Just continue to keep him in your heart and in your prayers when you are not able to be there in person, and it will work out just fine --

thanks CD......I have little ones that I can't leave at home alone, so that is why I haven't been to the hospital....I'll be there tomorrow. They want to release him but we haven't decided what to do about his meds......we don't want him just sent home to get sick again which is what happened last time....We are going to fire his doctors after things get stabilized and then I am going to get a lawyer.....

the important thing is that he was close to death last week and now is sitting up in a chair and feeding himself...Praise Jesus.......

Its a blessing Scat. My favorite motivational saying is the poem footprints.

I wanted to post it for you to read. I have this as my siggy on my cell, so i can always be reminded, Im never alone.


Footprints

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed He was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from His life. For each scene He noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonging to Him and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of His life flashed before Him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of His life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of His life.

This really bothered Him and He questioned the LORD about it. LORD you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.

The LORD replied, my precious, precious child, I Love you and I would never leave you! During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.

I had my second 3mile walk this week. Im feeling good. TOday was my first day of phen and the lipotropic capsules, good so far

Three MILES??!! WAY to go chica....i could only imagine walking three miles....my butt hasm't worked out in WEEKS>...I can't wait to get back to the gymmmmmmm Never thought I'd be saying THAT!

Okay wlel i've officially went back to eating badly.....Didn't eat hardly nuffin when dad was in ICU, now that he is a little bit healthier I've been hitting that junk...hot dogs, pizza and ice cream...OY VEY, I feel SICK......

Hey Scat and 4mami! Amen and Amen on your dad doing better Scat; I almost lost my MIL mom too ... But you should see her now, up and about, still a bit tired, but she's home and getting stronger day by day - as you say, Praise Jesus!! And 4mami, I truly love the footprints poem; all we have to do is know and take comfort in the fact that no matter how tough the road may be, we will never be alone!

Well, could have done better with the water today; got some in, but not as much as in the previous few days. And I was feeling kind of funny after taking my phen today; it didn't really curb my appetite, not really feeling good, just wanted to go home and go to bed, even passed up on going to choir rehearsal tonight. I guess it is day by day with each phen capsule we take. Can't figure it out, but I'm feeling a bit better now. My eating was okay, but had the munchies this evening, and ate some peanut butter crackers and lowfat frozen yogurt after my dinner, hmmmm. But anyway, I just had my diet tea, and am about to turn in for the night. Did my water aerobics yesterday, and plan to go tomorrow after work. Have a great night!

Hello everyone. I feel bad that I haven't been as active here as I would have wanted. I am still in the middle of trying to get my nieces placed wtih me. They are with me through the 4th of July holiday but they must go back to the fosterparents on Monday. =(

I went to my 2 week check up and I was down12 lbs. I would love to say it's because I have been busting my butt working out etc but nope. No working out just lots of stress and running around and not having enough time to eat more than one meal. For sure my goal for next week will be to eat 3 meals a day.

Hope all are doing well..
