shaynsethsmom: I think it is so cool that you make cakes for a living! There is a girl at work who makes the prettiest cakes...I always admire her for her talent because she is so creative and makes cakes that look like masterpieces...it's almost a shame to cut into them they are so pretty! I would love to see pic's of your work sometime! Congrats on your weight loss! Phen is great isn't it!

trauma-mama: Welcome back, I wish I could take a vacation, it is so needed! I think it's hard to watch your weight when you are away from home...I spent 1 month in Salt Lake City with my mom who was under-going treatments for breast cancer (she is in remission-through the grace of god) and our last week there was my first week on Phen...it was hard! we ate out everyday..olive garden, our favorite mexican restaurants...you name it..we ate it...I tried to offset it by getting a membership to 24 hour fitness and it must have worked because I lost...but maybe i could have lost more because we really put the food away!

scatanafas: I hear you when you talk about "summer clothes" I really don't want to hide like I did last summer...it ****s...it was really hot and I was wearing cardigans...we can do this! we have at least two months...lets just kick it in gear and see what we can do in that time! I really want to get into some cute clothes...summer is my least favorite season...all because of the clothing problem...I have "arm Issues" and dont like baring my arms...its frustrating and I feel you!

LZ: I am really excited about this challenge too! I love that little icon you had on your last post...the guy eating the cheesburger..where did you get it...it expresses how I have felt all day long! *lol*

A New Laurie in 2007: I am an animal lover too! I have a maltese poodle named sara! Animals are just like people...they have their own little personalities and characteristic traits...I am so sorry for your loss! I think it's neat that you help rescue animals, you must have a big heart! Welcome to the Challenge!

Momto8: Dancing is hard work...do you watch Dancing with the Stars? Good job with keeping up with the challenge! I couldn't find an occassion to dance today...if the same happens tomorrow...I will just make my boyfriend take me to the club! Actually...thats a great excuse for us to get out! I will tell him I have to..it's apart of being on Phen!

Krissy858: I started taking Phen on February 22nd, 2008! It was probably the best choice I have made for myself in years! I am doing semi-okay...I made alot of bad food choices Easter weekend and stayed the same last week...I am trying to do better this week...but once I get off track it's hard to get myself back on! as of last week I have lost 21lbs...40 to go!

devthinksnpink: I read your thread and I just have to tell you this: People can say anything they want to say and try to bring you down but don't allow anyone to hang clouds over you! There is a beauty and light that comes from inside you..don't let anyone take your shine! I look upon that person with pity.. how miserable his life must be...and how much hate he must hold inside that he would say something like that! My grandma always used to tell me to be careful with the things I say because words are powerful..they have the ability to build a person up and make them feel good inside or they can be used to tear a person down so that they feel bad. My advice to you is "Do not place value upon the words of a fool." That person isn't anything to you...why should his opinions or thoughts hold any value? I'm glad you did what you did...I have always believed that people who dish it out should be able to take it...don't let one arse-hole ruin your day...focus on the good things people say about you and let the bad things be forgotten!

JamieE: Your menu for today seems pretty good...hang in there...I had no idea WW made yogurt I am definitley going to look for that the next time I'm in Wally's (Wal-Mart). Does it have a good flavor? or is it kind of bland like activia? Hey girl...on that tiny little gain..I bet you gained MUSCLE...which is always good!

4mami_mia: Get to feeling better beautiful...get lots of rest...I don't know about you but when I'm sick..."All Bets Are Off." get to feeling better! Good question on the Nyquil! I would say...if your doc says it's okay...go ahead and take it!

CDCreations: Thanks for reminding me that I don't have to go to the club or anywhere fancy to comply with this dancing challenge...I can do it while i exercise...although I know everyone at the gym would wonder what I'm doing! *lol* tomorrow I think I blast my VH1 morning wake up and dance as I get ready for work! I say that with all good intentions...truth is I am not a morning person lmao!

Phen-tastic- The WW yogurt is pretty good. I really liked the strawberry-banana.

Well my goal was to be 130 by April Fool's Day...that's today and I'm 135.8. I'm not complaining becaue I haven't been that low in two years...but I'm still a bit frustrated because I've been in plateau mode for a while. I keep losing and gaining the same three lbs. Time to think "outside the box". I'm getting on my elliptical today, starting the day off with some oatmeal (I stopped eating it for a while and I think that was detrimental) and getting that water down. I taught a KICK *** class last night...but I can't help but feel like I don't "measure up".....I'm not looking to be a barbie doll y'all. but I would like to really feel and look fit and right now I don't......

So happy to see DH leave for work this morning, i swear that man is playing my nerves and it is making me want to eat....my eating is definitely emotional....not sure what I can do to stop that anymore....I just have to fight the reflex to eat to kill the anger and sadness that I feel.

Lots of work to do today, i plan on being productive....and at the same time eat clean and work out.....I hope everyone has a "skinny" day.....I heard that somewhere and thought that was cute, although I don't know what it means...LOL...I think it means to act and think like a skinny person. I can tell you one thing, skinny people don't think about food all day like we do....they just eat when they're hungry and don't obsess. Must be nice, huh? People tell me that I'm small...but if they only knew the work and mental anguish that goes behind being this size...and not that many people tell me that i'm small anyway because out of 135.8 lbs atleast 100 of it is in my butt...LOL....

Ok, a good nights sleep finally ! I was becoming a Phen zombie !
yesterdays food choices were healthy but I am really having trouble getting enough calories. I am sure that will stop. Yesterdays' menu:

B- activia light yogurt- 70cals
L-Lean cuisine low sod.din. chicken/rice 220
D-baked chicken 4oz,120 cals, baked potatoe with 0 cal,butter spray 140 cals
green beans 40 cals
Snack- sugarfree jello with with splenda whip cream 100 cals
Total cals = 690 not enough for good weight loss but I felt to full.

Ok if Paula (Abdul)is mean to me today;I will kick her scrauny little b o o t y !!!!!!!

Get up and dance.....yeah sure...As I said my get up and go...got up and WENT!!!

BUT I was down 2 more lbs. this morning..

Good morning phen family!! Glad to see the new posts, hope everyone is drowning in their water and doing great, eating good, thinking positive, and enjoying this Tuesday; we'll never see another Tuesday, the first of April in 2008 again, so let's make this day count!!

Momto8: So funny what you said about Paula, and if you feel a need to avenge yourself from her but.t kicking, I'll hold her down while you punch her!! Oh, and regarding the lack of sleep you've been getting, I have seen posts of folks taking Tylenol nighttime to help get drowsy in the evening, wanted to share that bit of info!

JamieE: Hey gurl!! So happy you found something delicious to have for your breakfast-on-the-go!! And along with that yogurt is lots of healthy stuff, calcium, so that's a great choice!! There is also something from Dannon Light n Fit that is low sugar/low carb, and they are also delicious; you've got lots to choose from; also consider a piece of fruit too -- I had a really good orange this morning, fiber and sooo filling! You're gonna see a big difference just in having breakfast -- it's hard to make a drastic change like that, so I'm proud of you!!

Phen-tastic: Hey gurl, what'cha doing this morning? So enjoy reading your posts, know that we read each and every word that you write!! And I'm agreeing with you, I think JamieE has gained muscle too with all the working out, and even though it weighs a little bit more than fat, muscle will burn calories quicker and faster, and that's what I want to have happen for me too!! And regarding the day you ate pudding, you did excellent for that day - your calories, your exercise, all of it!! We have to allow ourselves a treat now and then, that way, the dieting won't seem so monotonous and boring - and you burned those pudding calories right off, so way to go!!

4mami: Hey gurl!! You know, I do remember taking Nyquil maybe once or twice with my phen, probably for a sore throat of something, so I think it's okay, and especially if your doctor says it's fine, I'd go for it. Wouldn't do it often though, like night after night -- hope you and little one are feeling a little bit better today; let us know how you're doing, and don't forget to drink your water to wash those germs out!

Lets see yesterday....

Food wise:

B- grapefruit and a piece of crust less wheat toast
S- An absolutely terrible peach
L- chicken...grilled and wrapped in a piece of tinfoil for on the go
S- A bell pepper
D- broccoli and chicken stir fry
S- 1/2 pack of Stella dora 100cal pack

Dance challenge- I almost don't want to write this here in fear of the reaction, but honestly I really don't care lol.... i did and hour of Carmen Electra Strippersize. (its a 5 volume set thats really fun, the one dvd thats the actual workout (non- "stripping") will kick anyones butt no matter how fit you are (the next day it HURTS, but a good hurt) ) and then I did a 1/2 hour of pole dancing on our pole dancing pole. (and yes it is a very legit form on exercise it takes incredible strength and stamina, i learned form when I was an exotic dancer I few years ago but now people can take classes in a lot of city's, its a very Hollywood workout right now)

well thats all for now, i best be off to do todays challenge ill check in tomorrow or later tonight for todays food and challenges. best of luck to all

Hi all,
Sorry I've been MIA, my whole family is sick. Hubby has been home yesterday and today. My son was throwing up all night and my daughter has a ear infection and bronchitis. I am trying to stay healthy, but have not gotten to exercise at all yet this week. I am super tired and after I post this am taking a nap.

YESTERAY'S TIP OF THE DAY:
Eat what you want to eat, just less of it! When you deprive yourself of something it makes it more appealing. If you want a bacon double cheeseburger, have it.... just don't eat all of it. If you want ice cream, have it..... just limit yourself to 100-150 calories of it. Diet's don't work. Restricting food doesn't work. It makes you feel deprived, and makes you feel like you are a loser because you "can't" have a cheeseburger. Who says you can't?? Skinny people eat cheeseburgers, pizza, ice cream, donuts, etc. They just don't eat them to excess. Give yourself a break and think of this losing weight thing as a "eating less of __________" instead of "I'm so bad because I ate _______________" Calories are calories whether they come from a cheeseburger or a 100 carrots. We need to stop thinking we are "bad" because we ate something we WANTED to eat. You can eat anything you want as long as you compensate and make sure your TOTAL calories consumed are in check, and you are burning calories with exercise. Most people are allowed to have up to 2000 calories a day, even while trying to lose weight. So, don't starve yourself, and don't feel guilty about having a treat once in awhile. You aren't going to be able to be a PERFECT eater, ALL the time.
CALORIES IN vs. CALORIES OUT is the name of the game.

I read about that type of exercise, how difficult it is to do, and how it increases your stamina, strengthens the core -- yeah, I heard that it's not easy at all, and that classes are being offered for it in studios, or folks getting the workout DVD-- way to go on getting an excellent workout!! And your menu yesterday was great too, proud of you!!

I went out to lunch with my girlfriends today, and stayed good; went to one of those hot food buffet places, and got veggies, baked chicken and baked fish, and it was really good!! Eating my low sugar/low carb yogurt now and thinking to myself how glad I am that I didn't go off my diet at lunchtime, that I stayed good, even in going out with friends!! Well, I made my 2-month checkup with my doctor for April 15; I always get real strict with my dieting so that I can show her the best numbers possible!!!! Whew, so I got through my one-month break from getting my phen prescription from her (she wanted me to take a break from it, that's how a lot of doctors do). So I had a good 2 weeks with no phen, just did low carb, and it wasn't easy, not at all!! And for the other two weeks, I stretched the remaining phen that I had, so I'm ready for my new phen prescription, that's for sure!!!

Hope everyone is doing okay and making the most of this day -- thanks to everyone who responded so quickly to my PM messages for weight numbers, and always remember: water, water, water!!
