I know what you mean about the compliments. I couldn't tell you the last time hubby looked at me and said "you look nice". Years. That is one of the main reasons I wanted my hair straight. He loves it straight and that is the ONLY time that he has ever said that I looked nice, of course that was years ago because my hair keeps getting curlier with age. And down here with the humidity it will look nice curly until I walk outside, and then it is just awful. Hubby told me one time that I looked like a poodle. Yep, isn't that a nice compliment?
I don't really know what they will do with my hair. She said something about putting a BKT on the ends of my hair - which is a straightener, but it is actually very healthy because it is basically protein. The only reason I opted out of the BKT to begin with is that it only lasts a few months, so I thought the TR would be better bang for my buck. I have faith in the girl that did my hair, my hair just didn't coroperate. I hope they can fix it.
I as just told yesterday about the motrin and tylenol swap and I bought some tylenol yesterday - so hopefully that will help!
And just to clarify... my hubby is a really good man, he is just being an a@@ right now. He does have a lot going on, and he has no idea what I have going on... but it still stinks that he has to be such a jerk about everything. He'll feel real bad after saturday though, and then it should be smooth sailing with lots of butt kissin. But as of right now, I would rather him STAY AWAY! He could be a lot better on complimenting though. I guess that is just a man thing... LISTEN UP MARK... Wives NEED to hear that you still find them attractive, they need to feel sexy... I wish men would get that through their thick skulls. I have told hubby that he never compliments me anymore, and it still hasn't changed. Makes me feel like crappola about myself. I have had three kids and I know my body isn't as beautiful as it once was, but HELLO... I gave him three kids! Shouldn't I get some lovin for that?

Arrow Thursday Night
Hey all! Had a busy day today. It was do for the mom's day. However, I still got in 60 minutes of cardio while hubby took son to baseball practice. Then we had an open house at school.

Calories were high yesterday, around 1800, but will be much better today.

Mark, I'd be depressed right now if I had snow too. I am so ready for spring. It is supposed to rain here again. I wish we could just get rain on demand. Then, this summer when it is 106 in the shade and everything is getting brown we could just order some up. Just like you could order a higher temp. Oh well, I'll be whining this summer.

I don't use fixin' although I do drop a y'all every now and again. I moved here from So. Ill. 1/2 of my life ago (21 years almost 22 years ago).

When I first moved here, I thought some folks sounded illiterate. Just don't say ain't or curse every other word and i can take it.

Choco, sorry to hear about your rough week. Even though you'll be better off in the long run, that transition is a *itch.

Packs, I want to be a fly on the wall when Hubby discovers your surprise. I can't wait to hear about it.

My Hubby has his faults, but he has improved in the compliment section over the years. He says he can tell when i gain or lose one pound.

Michele, that Conner is a cutie.

Tomorrow is weigh-in. I hope it goes well for all of us.

Default Yikes!
Sorry guys! I haven't checked in with you in a day and a half. It's been busy. We had a jewelry and purse show at my house tonight. It's been a revolving door from 4 till 9 tonight. So all yesterday I was cleaning, then today I was cooking, and now tomorrow I'll be re-cleaning.

Good news, Hubby comes home next Friday. Hip, Hip, Hooray! But let me fill you in on a little secret... It's not all hunky-dory like you see on TV. We have to be there hours before if we want a spot close to the front because they say that hundreds of people will be there. My friend said that people will come with pack-and-plays to put their children down to nap. They'll land, unload heavy equipment first, unload the men & women, who will be whisked off somewhere else to get the "don't kill your wife" speech, THEN we'll get to see them. After about a 20 minute reunion, they'll be bussed off to their unit to turn in sensitive items for accountability. If they get the "all clear" then they will be released. That can take any where up to three hours. Then we'll get to go home. Doesn't sound as glamorous as you thought, huh! I'm pretty entertaining on any given day, but not for that long, away from home, with two kids. I guess wearing heals that day is out of the question now! Either way, my hubby is FINALLY coming home.

IM - I'm a little sweet on Bernie also. He just has such a great personality. I was sad to see him go. It's getting so juicy now I don't think I can wait till next week. Jillian was a little rough on poor Allie. I would have started crying. I wonder what they edited that we didn't get to see. Your kids are too cute! I think they both look like you. What's the deal with the date on your daughters pictures. I was so confused there for a second. You look great in the pic with your son.

LZ - When we move to TX it will be to San Antonio. But that's not for another 2+ years. I hope you were included in the "do for the moms" day and got a special treat for yourself. You do so much for others that I hope you're getting a little in return every now and then.

Choco - That stinks! I hope they find someone soon!

Timi - So when do you start campaigning?

Redsox - It was in the 70's here today and was absolutely beautiful out. Sorry you're still having bad weather. It's got to warm up sooner or later. So when are we going to see a picture of you. We've all shared some shots of ourselves and the offspring. Belly up to the bar. Oh, and I still hate my E for the first 5 minutes. Once I hit 5:01 then the love fest starts. But not a second sooner!

Packs - I think you need to put your entire family in a bubble till everyone is well again. You can be like John Travolta in that movie. You have had more than your share of sick kidos this season. They are too cute by the way! If I'm not in jeans, then I'm in workout pants. Sorry about hubby. I think you look awesome with your straight glass hair. You go girl! Switch between the two meds. It works! But check the bottle because I think Tylenol is 4 hours and Motrin is 8. My hair is naturally curly also. Not as curly as your though. I remember when I lived in Florida having to check the weather first before deciding on how I was going to fix my hair. By mid day it was usually up in a clip or ponytail, or 10 times larger than when I left the house.

So who is taking on the next challenge?

I need to hit the sack. Talk to you tomorrow.

chester that ****s, they should let them have the running through the airport homecoming then whisk them off. T hey could give them the don't kill your wife speech on the way over in the plane.... Geez, by the time you see him you will be ready to kill him, after ms Thang gets bored and Macho misses his nap. Maybe you need to give them some benadryl ... Your luck it would have the opposite effect like it does on mine and they would be climbing the walls ..Good luck with that...I guess you will be MIA when hubby gets home..And the date on the pics... be glad I had batteries in..Geez... I can't think of everything!!

Redsox-- shes right, be a man!! Cough up some pics///

I think we should take a road trip and go help Timi with her election..

So you guys didn't say wht you thought of Connor's long hair, I will post a short and long and tell me which you like...

Morning y'all.

LZ: You can send some of that rain here! We haven't had any yet this year. We've been told to expect 65mph winds today and with no rain you can imagine the dirt that will come with that!

I've been wondering just how hard the wind needs to blow before we need to weigh down our children so they can make it outside from the school to the car without blowing away. HH weighs 50 pounds and if the wind is blowing 65........

Chester: Nope. That doesn't sound quite as romantic as we always see on TV. The ones that always get me are when they show the Dad surprising the kiddos at school. I've got tears in my eyes just thinking about those reunions!

No real campaigning probably. I went to the election office on Wednesday and they are supposed to be emailing me a list of people who are registered to vote in my district. I can go from there to decide if I need to do more than just make some phone calls or if I need to go knock on some doors. Historically no one has ever spent any $$ to get on this board. It's more about who you already know. Small town stuff.

Gotta run. Time to get the kiddos ready for the last day of school before spring break!

Y'all have a wonderful day!!!

Default Good Morning!
Howdy. Today's weigh in is 141. I had to get on the scale a couple of times because I couldn't believe it. I still don't. Let's hope it sticks! Then I'll be just one pound away from my goal for where I wanted to be when he gets home. Still a little shocked.

Macho goes to daycare today and I'm going to get my nails done and get my new size 10 jeans hemmed. They're still a little snug, but a few more pounds and I should be good to go. When he left I was wearing a size 16.

IM - I've thought about the Benadryl! I kinda hope he comes home in the middle of the night and I can have my friend come and stay with the kids and I can go pick him up by myself. Not as exciting, but it will be way easier on me. I won't really be MIA. They go back to work the following Monday. They get half days, but no real break till June. Come June I'll be MIA though. We're going to Disney for a week, then to visit his family, then to visit mine, then he and I are going to Louisiana for two days then we'll drive back here, the packers will come and take all our stuff and then we'll start the long drive down. It will take us a couple of days to get down there. That should be a fun car ride! We have to be down there by July 1.

I don't think Conners hair is that long. You'll have to show us a before and after picture. How long do you plan on letting it grow? Please don't grow it out into a mullet.

I need to get moving here. Ms Thang has bike day today so I've got to load that up in the car to take to school. That should be fun for her.
