Hi girls...

Tina, the santa pic is cute. My girls are asking about santa now, I might try to visit him and see if I can get a pic without tears. Last year line so long, about 3 people from our turn and they freak out - they were 15mo back then. So this year here's hoping.... AND 157.. awesome job.

Res, gauchos in the mail today. They will be really cute with boots and tights under. With your height, they will look really nice. I never had them hemmed and they are 'regular' length.

All you runners... envy envy envy. I know that running would tone and burn off this flab pretty quick. Hmm... maybe a trip to the store for a new pair of gym shoes might inspire me. Mine are wore out and wouldn't do too well on a run - short or long.

Well, yesterday I took a full dose of phen and wasn't hungry a bit. I think my trick is I have to take the first half right when I get up on an empty stomach. Then I can do the 2nd half about 10:30 and be good for the day. I am a snacker /grazer in the a.m. here at my desk. (yogurt or fruit, etc.), but I like to take the phen on empty stomach. I also had some hot tea about 4 yesterday to warm up... it was so good I make another cup... Hello, what was I thinking!!! I watched the clock all night and when hubby got up at 3 for work i chime in with "****, I havn't even been to sleep yet" I think drifted off about 430.. urgh. Not sure if it was the phen or the tea but something got me.

Food wise, had a fantastic day yesterday.... slimfast breakfast, low cal rice and chicken bowl for lunch (didn't finish it), no snack and a very small plate of chineese food from our local take out. Oh... maybe MSG in the food kept me up. I rarely eat chineese... little pork fried rice, cashew chicken and green beans.

Well girls, gotta run.. big meeting with a client in an hour.

Default Wednesday, Day 3
Hello everyone...
Day two went okay, but being off any diet pills I can surely tell how hungry I am all the time. I'm with 7jeans, being on the computer helps me stay out of the kitchen. As soon as I'm off the computer, I'm searching for food! I'm trying to make better choices though. Here is my menu from yesterday:

6am: Workout + water (-350)
8:30am: egg sandwich (egg, cheese, hamb. bun) & 1 c 1% milk
9:30am: coffee w/ sugar free creamer & Splenda
12pm: 1/2 daughters turkey dog (no bun)
1pm: 10 baby carrots w/ 2 tbsp lite Ranch, 1 sm. orange
3:30pm: Healthy Choice French Bread pizza, South Beach cereal bar
6:30pm: 1/3 lb cheeseburger, 1 c baked beans, baked potato wedges w/ olive oil & herbs
9pm: Super Dieters Tea
NET= 1563 Horay... finally under 2000!!!! LOL

I exercised again today, but not at 6am. I danced from 9:55am-10:25am (30 min). I actually got a "high" off of it too, like someone was saying... I was dancing very intensely, maybe even doing power jumps, and I was SMILING!! It felt really good! Especially since I woke up in a bad mood. I feel much better now. Oh, and here is my play list. Someone said they needed new music, so I thought I'd share. Bear in mind that I am a music freak and my body just moves to music whether I want it to or not.... so these are my dancing songs (mostly hip/hop music).....

Justin Timberlake- Sexy Back (warm up)
Kelis- Milkshake
Rob Zombie- Foxy, Foxy
Nelly- Grillz (leg lifts & squats song)
Ying Yang Twinz & LiL Jon- Shake It Like a Salt Shaker (love this song!!)
69 Boys- Come on Ride the Train
Rolling Stones- Paint It Black

PERSONALS:
2get skinny: I just started posting my menu. I've been slacking for a long time now, and just started getting back into taking care of myself this week. I will try the frozen meals and salad thing.

7jeans: A cup of joe is a cup of coffee. Silly! They mentioned phentermine on Nip/Tuck??? That is amazing... I've never heard it mentioned anywhere either! Keep up the good work and you'll be seeing 208, 207, 206 on the scale soon!! I remember when I was 210. You can do it!!

Resmoo: Thanks for the detox bath info. I wrote it down this time! Where would I find Epsome salts at? I only have a Walmart in my town!

Twinzy: LOL at "Slimpee" you are funny! OMG... you like heavy metal music? All my friends thing I am weird for like NIN, and Rage Against the Machine and all the other heavy metal stuff. I'm a head bangin' fool. But... I also love hip/hop and classic rock too. I hate country music though, I can't get into it. Except for Johnny Cash... he's the only one I like.

Gonnasail: Yes, motivation seems to be kicking in! So far, so good anyway!

LZ: Hope you are okay... miss you!

Okay, well hubby will be home soon, so I better get off here and start folding laundry! TTYL... Have a good Wednesday.

So far, so good today I did the 20 minute interval training thing on the treadmill this morning- 1.71 miles, 190 cals burned and I ran (pretty fast) for 5 minutes straight two times!! Haha..sounds like nothing compared to you guys, but that was big for me!.. 1 minute at 5.2(speed), 2 min at 5.8 and 2 minutes at 6.3. Anyways, I have felt great all day after the run..I feel like im in better shape or something..it's weird...
B- Slimfast 190
L- Lean Cuisine w/ added broccoli and chz 350
Planning on a light snack and a Slim Fast with some veggies for dinner

Kitty- I love the dancing idea! That's awesome! I have those songs on my iPod as well...they really get you going! haha..and I knew the cup of joe was coffee, but i didnt know if it was a particular kind or brand or something, hahahaha

GonnaSail- 1/2 marathon it is ...maybe a full marathon in a few years?? haha I love that Im making these plans when I am excited about running 5 consecutive minutes!! As for the petites thing..haha I can understand where you are coming from. If I had $1 for everytime someone asked me to get something from the top shelf at a grocery store I could at least afford some lipo But, of course I never mind it... It's funny though...even though I have been asked for favors a million times for shorter ppl, it never dawned on me that they had NO chance of reaching the top shelf at all without my help....That would be annoying! It is however also annoying when TALLS aren't even long enough!! That has been a prob w/ me sometimes. Dear lord...I just realized...they BETTER make 7 jeans in tall sizes!

Twinzy- "Mr. Blondie" ...hahaha.... it's funny because I babysit and whenever I am away from the kids I miss them SOO much and stare at pics of them. But within 5 min of being w/ them I am like "Oh god Amy, please come home now and get me out of here!" ha ha...My mom calls it free birth control and thinks it's just hilarious when I call her to vent about the kids!

LZ- I miss you too come back!

Default Didn't run today
I'm mad that I missed my run....we have our living room furniture delivered at 9 (back from the re-upholstery place)..and spent the hour or so before that cleaning and moving stuff around to get the couch through. It doesn't fit through the front door and has to come thru the back, etc. Then I came to work. And it's much warmer today; mid to upper 40's, it would have been great. Oh well.

I'm wearing those new Ann Taylor pants today with a "smart blouse" as mom would say. I figured it's my last chance before Mandatory Bulky Sweater season is upon us.

Oh, Gonnasail and Twinzy, the ongoing debate of the petite vs. the tall. My friend Jill (5 ft even) used to have this argument constantly. My points: 1. They TRY to cater to you, even if they fail. Even if the petite cuts are still too long, sometimes they work - at least they are giving you the impression that you are welcome in their store by acknowledging you exist. 2. While hemming is expensive, it's an option Talls don't have. You can't ADD length. If it's too short, you are SOL. I'd give anything to walk into a store, touch the fabric, try it on, hold the color up to my skin, etc and just have to get it hemmed. Hey - I just thought of it too, we are even on hemming vs. shipping costs.

Oh the grass always looks greener, doesn't it, lol. Gonnasail, your hell of not seeing through a crowd, reaching shelves, is my always feeling awkward and unfeminine, always a kid stuck in the back row, paired up with other girls at dance lessons as they reserved the smaller ratio of boys for the shorter girls "cause it made sense," being nicknamed Flood because of my not-even-hitting-the-ankle pants, etc. Tall women get jealous of short women because they always look cute and are never called Sir. Here's something else crazy to make you laugh: we get secretly mad when you date and marry men over 6 feet tall because we think you can have anyone you want, and you took one of ours. We're a twisted, insecure bunch. And we hit our heads a lot.

Gonnasail, you are a strong runner, really you are. Let's change your image of what that is. You are way faster than me...I struggle to do an 11 min mile!

Kitty - the epsom salts will be near the first aid stuff by the pharmacy. They usually come in cardboard 1/2 gallon cartons (like milk), and are on the bottom shelf. Bonus - epsom salts can also be used as a laxative (directions are on the box), so you get a cheap remedy, 2 for 1.

7jeans, how cold does it get by you? Most of the stuff I have left in sizes that will fit you are wintery...

2getskinny, thanks again - I look forward to getting the pants. I may try your phen trick. Now I take it whole around 10:30 (usually 2 hours after bfast, and 1 hour minimum before lunch. I find that the longer I wait to eat after taking it, the better it works....but starting it earlier in the day may allow for better sleep (even with 2 benadryls I struggle)...

xo all.

Oh what a crazy day! I forgot to take phen this morning. No biggie except I was STARVING by lunch. I had a chick-fil-a grilled chicken salad. DD had a tree lighting ceremony at the hospital today. She was picked to be a miracle child so they introduced her to the media and then she helped push a button that turned the tree lights on. It was fun, but took up most of my day. She had therapy from 11-12 and the tree thing was at 2, had to be there at 1:30. No time to go home so that is why we had chick-fil-a, its at the hospital, easy lunch.
Afterwards both girls were napping in the van. DH and I like to go on mini-dates when this happens, lol. We rarely can get a babysitter so we they are sleeping we take advantage. Today's date was to Sonic b/c he had not eaten lunch. I got a holiday mint blast ... i only had about 1/4 of it. Not really my cup of tea. I am sure I am maxed for my cals though.
Gonna- Haven't ran yet. I was thinking maybe tomorrow morning I would try the church gym since we have no plans.
Res- How tall are you again?? LOL ... I rarely hit my head But buying clothes does ****. It has gotten much easier in the last several years though. I can promise you in high school they did not sell longs like they do now. My nickname in High School was "Stick" b/c I was so long and skinny. It'd be a compliment these days for sure, but back then it really hurt my feelings. I was gonna try out for color guard and my friend's dad said that no one would be able to see me behind the flag pole Needless to say, I didn't try out.
7 - WOW! I don't think I ever read that you were 6' You people need to post full body shots so I can tell how tall you are (or are not )
Kitty- have you tried any of the dance aerobics? i s.uck at dancing, lol, but i enjoy it
2get - i always take my phen on an empty stomach. that is what my directions say to do on the ** bottle. take same time everyday on empty stomach, wait 30 minutes before eating. i am never hungry on phen.
OK< that's all. I need to get my stuff together for the Mom's class tonight.

Res, just got back from the post.. should be there by Fri/Sat. They do need a good dry clean - they ahve a line of dust from being on the hanger int he back for so long.

Sleep problems.. ever tried the Ambien CR.. I love it. I can't take the 12mg as I wake up groggy... but they make a 6mg CR formula that works like a charm. My SIL has also had really good luck with Lunestra. Maybe your doc can give you a few samples to try? The Ambien CR is nice as it's timed release to keep you sleeping vs. just getting you to fall asleep (which it does nicely too).

Food today:
7- 1/2 dose phen
9- banana
1030 other 1/2 dose phen making 37.5 mg today (1 whole pill)
1230 - LC, fettucine with chick and broccoli (certainly not restuarant quality..)
3 - greek yogurt
planning on very light dinner of soup and a few crackers.

If I can keep the momentum like this the extra few pounds should be gone in a few weeks. Just have to eat light for at least 4 days in a row to start seeing the progress... One day or even two, just doens't cut it anymore.

Default Tall people win the fight!
OHHH Resmoo-
I think it's because TOM is on his way, but you certainly hit a soft spot when describing the hardships of tall people! I think it's also because I don't have any tall friends to share stories/ideas with, but man..."unfeminine and akward". I'm speachless. You just summed up my life. When I was a child I always wanted to take dance lessons and play piano. I have always loved music and the "music gene" tends to run in my fam. But noooo....being 5'10 in the 5th grade I was forced by my parents to play basketball. "What a waste of height!" I would hear. "If you actually tried and practiced you would be really good" They never got that I hate frea.king sports. The 22 year old delimna now is that if I want to meet a guy I can forget about putting on those cute new patten leather pumps that make me 6'4 add being 60+ pounds overweight to that scenerio and I feel like a mix between Paul Bunyan and Jabba the Hut. haha ....And yes GonnaSail, I have to admit that I may hold a slight grudge against you because you stole a tall man from us giants!

Also- about the clothes- it is usually around 30-40 here in the winter. However, I am moving to Manhattan after graduation and the holidays are over and I believe it gets quite a bit colder there. If you honestly don't mind parting with your clothing I would really love it if you did mail them to me No biggie though!

Ab- I think before today my height was only posted on my profile, so I updated some things. Yes, I am 6'0. I am teaching myself to like it.... haha I was actually planning on posting some photos on here soon. I was noticing in pictures the progress I have made this year and I really want to show you guys You should start trying to run...we could work up endurance together It always helps to have a buddy! And don't worry about today...sometimes life just gets in the way of dieting. I hate when I forget to take phen/pack a lunch, etc. But, Que sera, sera...

Well today is ending up nicely. I did break down and have 100 cal popcorn bag and a 1/2 bagel w/ cream cheese, so I wouldn't call it a detox day, but Im still only at 650 net cals before dinner. I bought some strawberries and blueberries at the store today, cut them up, and put some splenda on them to keep as a munchie snack for the next few days...MMM, I forgot how much I love this snack.

Glad to hear that everyone is back on track! Let's make this last week of Nov. a good one

Default Thursday
Hello everyone,

Well, I think I am getting a handle on my binge eating and getting my self control back. Monday = 1850, Tuesday= 1563 and yesterday = 1617. Not too shabby, but I would like to stay under 1600 every day of the week. Here is my menu from yesterday:

9am: coffee
9:55-10:25 dancing (-288)
11am: Smart Start Healthy Heart Cereal w/ 1 % milk; L-Carnitine pill
1pm: 98% ff turkey hot dog, 98% ff light hot dog bun, 1 handful wavy Lays and 2 tbsp light French Onion dip, 3 pickles
4:20pm: pumpkin pie w/ ff cool whip (it's finally gone though)
6pm: 1 can Dr. Pepper
7pm: Progresso Low Sodium Chicken Gumbo, added salsa and 10 tortilla chips & 8 saltines
10pm: 3 handfuls of hubby's popcorn
NET=1617
* If I wouldn't have eaten that pumpkin pie I could have saved myself 360 calories!! Dam mit!

Twinzy: Wooo Hooo 155! I weighed myself again yesterday morning cause I knew that 186 whatever had to be off. Scale said 182.. I still think it's some water, but we'll see what it says Friday. Congrats to you!

Becky: No I haven't done dance aerobics cause I have a hard time following along with steps they tell you to do. I just like doing my own thing.

7jeans/Resmoo: My sisters are tall too. One is 5'10 and one is 5'11. I'm the short one at 5'7 like my mom. My dad was 6'4" and I think my daughter will get his side of the families height. She is only 3 years old and already 44" My son is almost 8 and he's only 52"... so he's going to be short like his mom and dad!

Well, I need to get off here and do my Avon stuff. Talk to you later.

ps.. I found a good way to get your heart rate up.... jog in place while picking up the house. I jogged around the house while picking up clothes and dishes, etc Tuesday for about 10 min. and it really got my heart pumping. It's a quick little burst of exercise if you want to get some extra in.
