Hi everyone. My name is Melissa. I am a 26 yr old married mother of two, Casey (6) and Katy who will be 1 on the 17th. I have been an elementary school cook for 4 yrs now and before that served 4 yrs in the Army. Since I've had my kids, my weight has been an issue....I was 144 lbs when i became pregnant with my son and gained 66 lbs with him....I eventually got down to 160 before starting my job as a cook and ended up gaining 35 lbs in the past 4 yrs on top of the weight gain from my second pregnancy..I am now currently at 236lbs and am 5'4. My long term goal is to get down to 140lbs.My goal for this challenge is to drop 2 pant sizes by Christmas. I've just started phen on Friday but can already tell a huge difference in my appetite. To be honest I don't have much of one...I literally have to force myself to eat during the day. I have been drinking about 80-90 oz of water a day and my husband and I take the kids for walks 6 nights a week.I'm hoping to get some moral support here even though I get the usual "I love you just the way you are." at home.I look forward to hearing from some of you veteran phensters out there and getting advice on keeping the fight up And of course I'm here to lend my support to anyone who needs it

Melissa, welcome to our group. This is a very supportive crew. It is a little slow on the weekend, but will pick up during the week.

At first, you may have to make yourself eat. Enjoy the feeling,unfortunately it won't last forever. The dry mouth will help you drink a bunch of water. I never had a problem with stomach cramps, I hope they are not too bad.

2GetSkinny, 139! You go Girl!

I've done much better on my food intake today. I need to figure out the calories, but so far I'm under my range, especially with my 2 mile wog this morning.

mross: Welcome! Thanks for joining our group! We try to help each other out with weight loss and exercise tips...and we weigh in weekly! I am in charge of posting progress, and Im trying to get it posted on Sundays, but if you need to weigh in on a different day, that is okay. I have you down for your starting weight as 236#. Please let me know what your goal for weight loss for the month of October is.....
I have a horrible dry mouth, oh my! I took a phen break for 3 weeks, and now it's just like starting over. Except for last time, I noticed a loss right away, this time I have maintained 161# for just about 2 months.
Please feel free to ask us any questions, if you haven't noticed, we are all pretty chatty and like to share our thought, ideas and personals! best of luck to you....check in often during the week!

Good morning.

Today is a wog day, but coffee first. I am going to get Son to go with me since he is out of school today.

Then he gets to go to the ortho and tomorrow the eye Doc on his other day off.

I had a low calorie day yesterday, like 750, that should balance out my Saturday which was over 2000.

Have a great, skinny day and I will TTYL.

Last night was the Locks of Love Benefit, in the gallery next door to my shop. It's a huge, deliriously fun event put on by my friends who own the salon & day spa up the street. Denis Tufano, the lead signer from the Original Buckinghams, performed. I "won" the top bid on the spa package for the silent auction - and paid $275 for a $765 package....A massage, facial, mani/pedi, and blow out (I just had to retype that, at first I typed blow job...now there's some spa services for ya) each month in Jan, Feb, and March! Can't wait. Anyway, dirty danced my *** off after hubs and kids left. Took cab home at midnight.

Here's a coupla pics of Kiley and I. I wish I had a full length shot of me in the dress - that's the really short mod one I was too chicken to wear to the HS reunion.

Oh crap, it won't upload because the file is too big (it's a scanned photo). I'll try something else.

Welcome, Melissa. You are starting about where I was...you are going to love your new healthy body, which will be here before you know it. The phen is a great tool.

Hi all.

I got in my two mile wog. When I grow up I want to be able to jog many miles w/o stopping like Tina and Resmoo. Resmoo, I think running has a lot to do with your increased weight loss.

Another note, I have been back on CLA for about 3 weeks and am seeing a definate difference in my belly fat. I would have never believed what a difference it would make had I not been on it several months and then been off it several months and now back on. My local Wal Mart has started carrying it too, so I can get it for about $12.00 a month.

Ok, I need to get going. TTYL

I totally think CLA has done wonders on my fatness! I have also added 5htp, when I can remember to take it. Great pics Resmoo! It's always nice to put a face with the gal! Now, is Kiley your daughter? I may have missed that!

Oh, and I feel like blob, ate a piece o' chocolate cake at work yesterday, and then last night we celebrated my dad's 60th and had another at their house....Hurl!!!!!! Ooo, my dad is 60, wow.
Well, should go,I have been a cleaning fool today, and I have to pick the twins up soon!

OMG... it took me forever to catch up!

Twinzy: Sorry I didn't post my weight. I'll go with today's of 176.4 I did terrible over the weekend again. Beer makes me lose all my resolve! I tried to do better yesterday, but nothing will undo what I did!

Resmoo: These water pills I got at Walmart are herbal it says. It lists a bunch of herbs plus Calcium and Potassium. It says to take one a day. I've taken one Sat. and one yesterday. I will take another one today. You look so awesome in your pictures! I wish you had a full length one also!! I recorded my weight every day last week and 175.4 was the lowest on Thursday. I even checked it 4 times! I definately have a sodium problem!

LZ: OMG... Dairy Queen! I am starting to hate fast food chains for even making that food for people to eat. Why, why, why? Why can't they have healthy fast food places that serve Veggie burgers and soy french fries?? LOL We ate out last night and instead of my usual steak, baked potato and butter + sour cream. I had Fettachini w/ broccoli. Don't know if that made a difference, but eating something with broccoli in it made me FEEL like I was eating better!

LoseIT: Thanks for the encouragement. I need it. I am really good Mon-Fri and am really diciplined w/ my food and stuff, but on the weekends I slip up every time! Whoa... what a loss for the week! You'll be hitting that 199 mark in no time!!

Mross: Welcome to the group.. you will have alot of fun here!

Thenewmicmic: It's never too late to join in a challenge. Just give Twinzy your starting weight and your goal weight and then post as much as you can weighing in on Fridays.

As for me it was a busy weekend. Friday night I played ball, then got drunk afterwards. Saturday I visited a friend and let our kids play together. Then came home around 4pm to find hubby sleeping. Then we decided to go to Walmart and buy a bike so we can ride with our son around the block. So, we bought one for both of us since we all can't ride together yet until Megan learns to ride a bike. We looked at those bike seats to put on the back, you know. But... they all said "up to 40 lbs". Well, Megan is 43 lbs already so that's out! She's not a fat kids either, just really tall. She is 3 1/2 yrs old and is 42" tall. Sunday I had a bridal shower to go to and it was freakin' hot. It was at a winery, outside and if it would have been normal Oct. weather, it would have been perfect. But, it was 95 degrees and we were all melting. After that I came home, change clothes and went out to eat to take FIL to dinner for his birthday. The kids are off school today and tomorrow, so I'll be busy trying to keep them busy. I did workout yesterday for a whole hour and sweated my *** off b/c I felt so guilty for the nacho's I ate at 10pm Sat. night!

Once the kids go back to school I may start riding that bike we got (if I can remember how!!!) I hope hubby rides it alot, he really needs to exercise more! Well, I need to get off here, so I'll talk to you all later.....

Quick check in for me tonight. I've walked 2 miles today and had about 85 oz of water. My calories ended at about 1000. I have to weigh in a TOPS tomorrow and I want my big loss to still be here. It is holding steady today. Congrats to everyone on their losses. Got to go for now.
