The kids are headed back to school. Let's start a new challenge. I have been off all summer and now is the time to kick it into gear.
Anyone interested? If we do a 14 week challenge it would take us up to Thanksgiving week. So...Let's start on Wednesday, August 24. We could each concentrate on one area that we are bad about sticking to or more if you want. We would need the following: 1. Start weight 2. Goal weight 3. One area you want to concentrate on (exercise daily, drink all my water, a certain calorie level each day, no chocolate) You pick and stick to it. Let me know what you think of this idea and we will get it rolling. These always help me to kick it into gear. Karen |

Count me IN!! Now that the kids are back I need to get my butt in gear!!
1. Start weight 155 2. Goal weight 130 3. One area you want to concentrate on: MY STOMACH!!! LOL Ok, food, water, and toning. Cardio isn't my problem. I'm an addict and will haul myself to the elliptical on my death bed I swear! I have to get back to Curves or the gym. One or the other. I've lost plenty of pounds but hardly any INCHES this summer. I gotta get the inches off too! So here we go ladies! I'll post my foods and exercise daily starting tomorrow. Nikki give me your shoes from that picture! LOL I'm going to have to email you a picture of my shoes I got this week. You're going to crack up laughing when you see them. Everyone hates them but ME! You'll love em'!

Hello ladies! (Knib~~haven't heard from you since you joined and left our School's out Challenge...good to see you're back in here!!!)
I have been in the School's Out Challenge all summer and was just getting ready to post our idea for a "SCHOOL'S IN" Challenge and it sounds about like you are doing what we were thinking. The only real difference is that we were planning to have weekly "mini" challenges and end with Halloween so as to not make it too long, then do another for Oct 31-1/5ish. I don't know, but it sounds like maybe we could join them together and not have a problem, but I wanted to ask you guys before we just jumped in. What do you think? If you'll have us and if I can convince the others to join you, too, we'll be here with you next week!

Hello everyone!!! I am interested in joining if there doesn't get to be a HUGE amount of people. I am in need of A LOT of butt kicking. My dh leaves for a 12 month + deployment Tuesday afternoon, so I am a little depressed at this point. I have been screwing around for the last week and a half and have been TOTALLY off track. I haven't exercised and eaten EVERYTHING that I have wanted.
Starting Weight - 172 Goal Weight by end of challenge - 150, thats about 1 1/2 lbs a week Areas to concentrate on - arms, stomach area, exercising everyday and WATER!!! Plus, I only weigh in about once a month, if this doesn't bother anyone???? I weigh in at the dr's office every month on the same scale so I know for sure that I am going in the right direction!!! I also like to be held accountable for my food intake everyday so I usually put them in too. So, I hope that ya'll can help me to get out of my funk and back into my FUN loving self, of course only missing a few lbs of myself, LOL So, I will talk to ya'll tomorrow. Hopefully I won't pull you into the dumps with me

Looks like we are starting early. That's OK with me. I think that merging the two is a great idea. Let's go until the end of October and then we will do something different for the holidays. Illini- if you want to come up with the mini challenge for each week I would be grateful. I will PM you so that you can get ready for tomorrow.
I will post a first week thread tonight and get it started officially tomorrow. You can reweighin if you want or leave your start where it is. I too was waiting cuz my kids aren't in school yet but I can sure get busy. I will put the info from the ones who have signed in at the top of the list. |

Been a busy day here. The boys are off to school and I spent today cleaning out the drama storage room. We got it done in 5 hours. It looks so good. Now I just need to threaten them all with death if they mess it up.
I should hear tomorrow if I got a permanent position or will still be a yearly contract employee. I went ahead and put the start on a separate thread. Then people can join if they want to. Enchantra~ That's a big goal but we will encourage you as much as possible. I can't ever set goals that high cuz I lose slowly. Glad you are here. Butter cups~ Mine are still home too. and we are moving the girls down to the boys old room. It has its own bathroom and at 13 and 15, they are so excited. You are welcome to join whenever. Trina~ I can't even imagine what you are going through but we are here for you. Go ahead and post your food. I don't usually, just my calories but only cuz I'm too lazy to type it all. Illini~ Bring whoever with you and join on in. If you need to wait till next week that's OK too. Let us know the new mini challenge. Bama~ post your stuff and we'll get started. I too need a good kick from time to time. These challenges always help me to get on track. Pixie~ You look great but I understand the tummy thing. It just doesn't want to go down. I think my tummy will be bigger than my hips soon. Tex~ I am back into Curves again. We are earning play money to get a free teeshirt. It is fun and I don't mind the work out. I get the donut thing. My hubby is a big guy but not heavy and he can eat anything. He asked me the other day when I was going to make scotch-a-roos. Ugh! I'll eat em all. Since we are only going to the end of October, I definitely need to change my goal weight! LOL! I was going by the earlier post suggesting Thanksgiving. Ok, I think a good goal for me will be 145. That would be about 2 lbs. a week.

Hey girls count me in; I have two boys that just started back to school.
WHOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!! My goal is to make it to the gym every day and do cardio for 50-60min 5 days a week. I have lost 25 pounds so far, 262 was my highest weight. My weight loss slowed down after having the boys at home with me after camp let out. I have not exercised since starting phen, so I am hoping this will get things back on the losing track!!!!
