This is it. This is the place. For ANYONE having trouble really sticking to their food plan, please join in.

This challenge officially begins on March 31st (Monday) and will not be excluding ANY food plans. Weight Watchers, LA Weight Loss, counting calories, counting fat grams, Cabbage Soup, or whatever floats your boat.

So, what are some things we can do here?

Post what our goal eating will be.
How long it will be. (You set the challenge length of your own unique goal)
Post our weight weekly. (optional)
Check-in nightly with how we did and most importantly ...
support each other!

Leave the drama for your mama!

This is where we list what diet we will be doing right?

Weight Watchers for me. I'm supposed to be shooting for at least 22pts a day, 29 at the most. Dont have a length of time and weighing hmm maybe later..lol

Yep, Health, this is where we list what we're doing. I hate saying "diet" because most of us are looking for a way of life.

I am going to be counting calories, but limiting my caloric intake. I think I've been too high compared to what I "actually" burn.

Are you posting what you ate here daily or on Tiredmom's new thread? I'm confused at this point. Had an extra drink at dinner. lol

Well it depends. That is a support for weight watchers. For tips,info,etc. Theres alot I still need to learn and what better way to get the info that I need about it.

Not sure if everyone that will post here will be familiar with it. This is goal based right? So I will be basicly coming here telling everyone if I accomplished my goal for today and how it was,etc.

Is that ok?

Yep, that's right. You just pop in at night or whenever you're done eating for the day and say you achieved your eating goal for the day. So, it doesn't matter if you're WW or just counting calories. It's a little niche of extra accountability just like the Tredders and Shedders except this just keeps on going. I'm sure people will give thumbs up here and there too, but it's mainly just a place to post you did your goal for the day. (long-winded)

Ok,

I like a challenge... just posting everyday will be a major one until I can get my PC at home replaced.

I'm following a low fat lifestyle change which my doctor put me on.

Goals For Week

Exercise: Hour Walk Daily + Additional 2 hour walk on weekend.
Daily: Multi B vitamin
Daily: 2 litres (64oz) of water
Daily: Eat within fat guidelines
Daily: Take lunch to work instead of buying
SW: 228.8
CW: 197.12
GW: 184.8
Lost forever: 31.68

I shall pass this way but once, any good or kindness therefore, that I can do or show to any being, let me do it now, for I shall not pass this way again.

Okay, I'M in, I go through spurts, first I will do really well and then we I fall off the wagon I fall HARD. I tried Atkins and did well for 8 days and then oops. I did find however, that Atkins was a real effort for me so I am going back to my original counting calories - 1100-1200 is my daily goal intake. LOTS of exercise, I am starting curves tomorrow and LOTS of water.

MsKitty and Thinagain, I'm also counting calories and keeping things lowfat. This is what always worked for me in the past and what makes me feel balanced.

I tried Atkins as well, but it just isn't for me. There are too many good foods you can't eat, which I would miss too much and need in my diet. Not junk food, but certain fruits and fiber-rich foods.

I think lately my calories have been too high. Even if they are around 1,400 - 1,500, then I have two days a week where I don't count at all, well, I'm doing a great job maintaining this way, but not losing. So now I'm dramatically lowering calories and tracking fat + fiber.

It's great to have some company. I think just checking in with others daily would really keep me going. Especially since I know the way to eat to feel better.

Great to have you both with me for this!

Okay, it's Monday and here I am posting my challenge. I am going to stick with WW points. I do not attend meetings but I have all the material and am in the 20-27 point range. I will be checking in with all of you tonight and let you know how I did. Good luck and have a marvelous day!

Well, I am supposed to stay between 12 and 1300 calories. I have not taken my phen for 3 days and was PMSing over the weekend, I think I ate over my limit this weekend, but I am positive I did not go over what I burn. I also had my AF but it only lasted one day...WTH? It was the first time I had it since taking phen. Weird!!

Anyways, I don't have any money to buy more meds until next Thursday and I have 6 pills left. So I have to stretch them out. I was actually surprised that I was able to feel fuller faster even without them. I was thinking about trying the Atkins thing again. It has been 4 years since I tried it. But I know I would not want to live like that forever. And don't you gain back everything once you start carbs again? Hmmm...I guess I will stick to counting. But I will ask the low carbers anyways. I am down to 176 and really would like to see the 160's soon.

Ok well I will check in later, My son is telling me to get up and check something....Uh Oh!

Oops, forget to tell my eating goal for this week. No more than 30 grams of fat per day. 3 veggies, 2 fruits a day.

Marly, I have been reading my weight loss books and such. There was an excerpt on low carbing, which I found really eye opening. Let me know if you'd like me to type it up. Also, Shelly (Rhapsody) did low carb and lost a lot of weight. As soon as she returned to normal eating (not going above caloric limits), she gained it all back plus 20 pounds! Her doctor told her she had mainly lost water and lean mass (muscle, bone, etc.). I think for some it works great and for some it's like the "diet" from hell.

For me, it really isn't about carbs or calories. It's about emotions. If I ate ONLY when I was hungry, I'd be thin! This is what I'm concentrating on now. Balance.

First day of challenge complete. Made ALL my goals. 27 grams of fat, 34 grams of fiber, 14 waters, 3 veggies, and 2 fruits. My calories were below 800, but I ate 3 meals and 2 snacks.

Ok, never mind on the low carb thing. I asked some of the other girls too and they said it is a lifestyle change. I really would not want to do it. I am doing great with calorie counting, so I better stick to that. I would still like to see what you found out though Emma. I guess in a few weeks I will be in the 160's. I am so impatient sometimes, but I will calm down. it has been so hot lately and I want to wear some shorts without the chunk effect if you know what I mean...

I took a phen today, I had to!! I have been good on water and food, but no exercise. Maybe I will do it later. I usually do WATP when i don't go to the gym. I am embarrassed to do it when my dh is here though. If he gets home soon, I won't do it. But if he is late, i will. I will try to get back in here later.
