    In an attempt to get some organzation on our challenge I'm trying this:
    We will use this thread to come and chat daily about how we are doing. That way we only use other threads for "Weigh In" and "Stats". It will help us know where to go. And it will help me when updating everyone. I hope I'm not being too pushy. Just thought this might make it easier.
    I'm really sorry I wasn't around Monday. Our modem fried Sunday night and my Hubby couldn't put a new one in until last night. If that should ever happen again I will go to a friends house and post. Thanks to all who were concerend. "You like me, you really like me!"

    I was freaking all day yesterday. My puter's modem fried Sunday night. My husband couldn't get one put in until last night. By then, it was like mid-night and I had to go to bed. I missed you all. Anyway, I'm back and I added new threads. That way we all can get organized. I figure if we have 3 going on this challenge it will help the confusion.

    I agree with everyone else. One night of "cheating" or "rewarding yourself" won't kill you. In fact, you still have plenty of time to lose weight this week as long as you hop right back on the wagon. 4 lbs in a week is great - your body was probably just protesting by getting those cravings which I think ALL of us understand!

    As for myself, I got my first comment about my weight loss today from my visiting mom. Probably easier for her to notice since she hasn't seen me since I started losing weight. Anyway, I feel good about that, and although I don't post very often, I come in daily and pick up inspiration from all you guys so THANKS!!!!

    thank you so much for welcoming me into this challenge! i really need the support. i screwed up big time today-i'm really stressed out because we are in the process of buying our first house. i broke down and had Krystal's for lunch-aahhhhhhhh! i'm just going to try to walk it off tonight. sad thing was i wasn't even hungry but did that stop me-no way! why does bad food have to taste so good? anyway, my birthday is 02/15/78. i'm really excited about getting to know all of you. good luck!

    I don't even know what a Krystal's is, but that is probably a good thing for me! But as long as you get back on track, one bad meal won't mess up the week. I'm on 30mg capsules and they work well for me. I started 4/15 and had to force myself to eat for a couple weeks. Now, I still don't get hungry, or if I do, I get full faster. However, I gained my weight by too often eating when I wasn't hungry, so I'm working on changing that bad habit.

    Oh, and my birthday is 9/29/66

    I am taking the 30 mg time released phen. Clear/blue with beads inside. They have worked for me so far and after reviewing MANY postings it seems that this one works the best for the most people. I started out with the 30 days supply and just received my 90. Now I am set until August.

    To everyone:

    I went to the library tonight (it is in the same building as my daughters dance class). I got two books - Fitness for Dummies and a book on Pilates. I keep seeing Pilates referenced in the postings so I thought I would give it a shot. I am up to 2 miles at 3.5mph but I can tell that will not challenge me for long and soon I will be doing one of the personal trainer programs on my treadmill. Of course even though I don't feel challenged I still sweat like a PIG! I do know I need to do some other exercises. I have 8 lb hand weights and boths books have some suggested workouts with them along with others. I need to do some ab exercises too - my stomach muscles are still stretched out from two pregnancy and my youngest will be 5 in June

    You all won't believe this but this is the FIRST time I have ever incorporated exercise into my weight loss program. Even when I lost 38 lbs on WW in 1999 I didn't do ANY exercise at all. Goes to show how serious I am this time.

    Okay, this check in is long enough...hope everyone is feel good and motivated. ALWAYS remember that tomorrow is another day. Don't let one indescretion lead to a full blown binge!

    On the weights during exercise comment... my personal trainer taught me 1 hour worth of weight lifting exercises that work, he told me it burns fat faster to add small amounts of weight!!

    Debra, Krystals are the best little hamburgers (or with cheese) with pickles, mustard and very soft buns. Mmmmm. In fact I ate three Sat night and still lost 2 pounds this week. Yes!

    Today I began my monthly and have had cramps and cravings. I think the two go together. I am still staying under 30 fat grams, though, so that is growth for me.

    Saraheoden, Yum Yum, Krystal's. Those are the best. As far as the mg. My Dr. started me off on 18.75 (which is half of 37.5) I start Monday on 30 mg.

    KayBee, Way To Go Girl!!! 2 miles at 3.5! I will have to get to movin on my treadmill. I'm doing 1.5 miles at 3mph. I powerwalk 2 min run 2 1/2 min.(I'm slowly moving up on my running time.) powerwalk 2 run...Well you get the picture.

    Houstonmom and Cindi60, The first thing you need to do to get a picture on here is to publish in somewhere. I use imagestation dot com. It is real easy and I like that. Once you have that done we can go from there. There are other places, like ya hoo and msn. I just liked how easy imagestation was. Let me know and I would be glad to help.     Lisanbel, I need to start writing down all I eat. Sometimes I don't think I'm eating enough. But you have me curious on how many grams of fat I'm eating.

    Hey everyone!!

    Well the week is going by so fast, and I havent cheated yet!! I just got a new script from my doc -i asked for 37.5 instead of 30. Im hoping this will help me get thru the late evenings. Im also not driving myself crazy anymore weighing daily. I would get so frustrated! So now every two-three days is much better! Im so excited about all the weight all of us have lost so far on this challenge! This is the best place on the web - and I cant stay away, lol...im never going to get any work done!! lol

    Hi everyone!
    Hope all is well. I am in week 2 now and I'm eating more than I was able to last week. (I hope I don't get crazy!!)

    I still can't believe this works for me. I'm excited but a bit skeptical. I am eating healthy (for the most part) and working out like crazy. The pill seems to make it so much easier to do. All my attempts at Weight Watchers began to make me believe I couldn't do this. I love the support and I'm glad I can count on everyone for advice.

    Hi All you Losers!!! (I mean that in the most loving way!)

    Today is the longest I have gone without check phenland...I was at a conference and they didn't have any computers anywhere in sight. I did survive although I did suffer some withdrawals!

    At the conference they had a buffet lunch and it was FULL of fattening creamy stuff that actually made me sick. I couldn't believe my reaction. I ended up filling most of the plate up with green beans (which I would have skipped completely in my fat life) and a little seafood casserole.

    I am really going to do it this time!

    I have been averaging between 20-30 fat grams per day and that is because on the Xenical, if I ate something with high fat, I would have to rush to the bathroom.

    My doctor said it is imperative that I eat lowfat, so I read the nutrition info on labels and I printed out an entire menu from A to Z of foods, their calorie amounts and fat gram amts.

    The bad thing is that I still have strong cravings. I want to order phen online since my doctor wouldn't give it to me.

    Did ANY OF YOU order phen online? It is so expensive, but that will be my only route.

    Hi,,,

    I am sorry with me working nights I don't get things straight about logging in and such,, but I will get better next week.
    I am running on treadmill untell I get my 2 miles in ranging from 4.5 to 5.5 and than kicking it down to a power walk about 4.5 to 3.9 than kicked it down even lower to 3.5 lol just guess it depends on my mood at the time. I go for 4 miles and or 1 hr but for sure get to the 1 hour mark.
    I treated myself to a nummy stir fry with chicken no rice,,, <---I am full now and should be good for the night, though I am sure some crackers are in my future at work but really going to focus on the water thing.
    Of late I don't have a problem with not being able to go to the bathroom,,, WOW infact{to much information coming here} but after working out for 1 hour,,, I have to run to bathroom,,,, strange.

    lisanbel; I bought mine online, I just came on one day and decided to go for it. I paid $169 for 3 month supply of 30mg. Shipping was free and I got it the next day!!!
    Oh, and on the weight training thing, I lost 3 lbs in about a week, with NO PHEN or anything, so it works! Then I got the PHEN and went to 5 lbs a week, so I'll see how the weigh in will be Monday (no weight training this whole week, I am only doing the treadmill) I just hope Aunt Flo doesn't keep things from happening.....She always makes me gain 3-5 lbs, until it is gone for like 2 days.
    Good Luck! Oh and have you tried Tae Bo???
    It is GREAT.....and you can do the 8-minute total body work-out and feel like you did the 30 minute.
    Just another suggestion...I am experimenting to see what works best for me (as a long term thing) so far I have got the most from the Tae Bo and weights versus the treadmill & walking alone.
    So, just play around with it, keep things spiced up.....do stick to the same routine all the time or you will burn out and get bored with it.
    My next adventure is trying Pilates!! I can't wait to hear how it goes with some of the others.

    I am going to try Pilates this weekend. It is in a book and it takes me more time because I have to refer to pictures. During the week I get up at 4:30 and walk on the treadmill. I like the treadmill because I am alone (no kids) and I listen to music. I listen to upbeat music that keeps me motivated to keep going. The latest Pink CD almost sounds like an exericse CD. I can't believe I am almost 39 and I am listening to Pink!

    Casie - I don't remember reading where you asked for b-days but I saw a lot of people were posting them so mine is 6/25/63.

    Hi Everyone! Glad to hear everyone is doing so well. I have had a very busy couple of days. My daughters choir concert on Tuesday night and my other daughters preschool graduation on Wednesday morning. My hubby had gotten me a dishwasher and a garbage disposal for Mothers Day, which also got delivered yesterday. So he installed them yesterday. Felt bad for him...He has a bad back as it is and to see him all scrunched up under the sink...I was in pain!

    Now to top it all off we are both sick....I think we have strep throat...Going to get to the doctor today....

    Hello Challengers,
    I'm so glad you all are checking in each day. It is so nice to hear how you all are doing. I didn't get to run yesterday, but I did do my weights. I do a full body weight training on my Ultra Gym every other day and run a Mile and 1/2 every day. I'm working on getting that to 2 miles. It is working for me know. I have tae-bo, but I'm waiting to start that again until I get stuck at a certain weight. I need to do better on my daily calories. I'm not getting enough each day. I find it real hard. I know I need to.

    I really am beginning to think I have no life. If I'm not on the treadmill or the Ultra Gym, it seems I'm on here. Chasing my son around in between. I think they need to close these boards once a week, that way people like me can get some laundry done.

    Sorry I'm so late in the day. Had some running around to do! Anyway, I know how you feel Casie. This forum started to consume me!
    After being on for almost a month I try to cut down. It seems sometimes when people are on all day they get side tracked about what they are here for and say things that aren't things I want to be involved in. Feels like sometimes posts are made to be talking about you. Ya know!

    Anyway, I love this challenge and the people on it are soooo positive. Hope it stays that way!

    Jennifer - Don't worry, I feel all the positive energy in this challenge by all the upbeat, humerous postings. I am positive I am going to lose this weight this time. I have never felt this sure in my life. I am so sure, I don't even really have to control myself around food - phen helps me look a food as fuel instead of pleasure, or stress relief.

    Casie - I know what you mean about not enough calories. I started tracking mine on fitday at the end of the day because I was thinking the same thing. I think that muscle weighing more than fat thing is happening to me because I am definitely smaller in my clothes. I am not stressing so much about the scale...I know I am changing my eating patterns and I have exercised more in the past month then I have in the past 10 years!

    Keep on getting healthy everyone!

    Thanks Kaybee! I know I love the people in this challenge, and I know how you feel about being postitive this time with the weight loss journey. I'm so dead set. I don't have the urge to snack or anything. Me and a friend always go to the mall. We would eat there. But, now I go and either don't eat or bring my own food. There is a healthfood restuarant in my mall that I can go to too. But, she asks how I can go and smell all the good stuff and not let it bother me. I told her It just doesn't bother me. So that's what I do. I am losing weight and losing inches and I know I'm getting somewhere and that's all that matters.

    Hey Ladies- I've been out of here for the past couple of days my kids were sick(now the hubby's got it), but I'm back. Glad things are going well w/ everyone!!!I sur missed this place!!!
    I didn't lose any Lbs last week, but I think this week will be better(I only take my phen 2x per week)!!!
    As far as the hoop-la going on in the main forum goes.... My suggestion is to just stay out of it.
    About a month ago a couple of people were going back and forth and I said something about keeping the forum positive and lets just say it wasn't well received So lets just and all keep up the great work!!!!!!!

    That sounds great, but there is no way I can get up that early, I am lucky if I ever get to bed at night before midnight but on norm it's 1 or 2 am. My day then starts at 7 to get my daughter ready and out the door to take her to school, then back here to chase the 3 yr. old and watch my 4 month old grow before my eyes
    I wish they stayed 1 month old....LOL
    But I arranged my schedule with the treadmill to 8p.m. my 3 and 6 yr. old are in bed and if the baby is up I put her in her swing to watch mommy.
    I don't know why I tried to do it with them up, it is SOOOOOOO much better and easier when they are in bed!

    I hope everyone is doing good, I am with Casie on the calories thing, I can't seem to get in more then 900-1,000 and that's if I am lucky.
    But, I know if I don't eat more I am just wasting my time trying to lose weight because the second I stop the Phen and get an appetite back, the weight is gonna come back like a magnet!

    Oh and on the neg. post on the other forum..I too am staying out of it. I was shocked when I read some of it. I thought I was in a Support Board. I didn't know grown Women and Men would act like that.
    My hubby says he thinks based on the recent events in the main forum, that a side effect of phen must me Bi+chiness (is that a word) and/or Sensitivity.
    I'm thinking he may be right.
    Anywho...Too much hate in the world.. I surround myself with love. That is why I love it here in the Challenge Forum.

    HI EVERYONE!!

    Im so Happy Its Friday!!! I sneaked a little and hopped on the scale here at work, and I am wayyyyy to excited about weighing in on Monday!
    Cantcha tell im having a wonderful day today? lol
    I already went to publix and got my chicken breast and salad for dinner, so I wont have to worry about cheating later!!! Hope everyone has an incredible weekend!!!

    Hey everyone...on late tonight because it is Friday and NO GETTING UP AT 4:30 to exercise tomorrow...

    I have had a great week because two situations happened that use to wreck my diet before I started my permanent weight loss journey. Both had to do with eating at work...one at a conference that I mentioned earlier and tonight there was a Board meeting (I only attend one a year). There was some great food there. I had filet mignon stuffed with spinach, grilled aspargus and grilled squash and one little cheese cake (the size of a quarter - no kidding). I bet this is the first day I hit 1200 calories. I have been between 1,000-1,100 all week. I got on the scale tonight (I know I should beat that addiction) and I weighed the same thing as I did this morning so that means I will be 1-2 lbs less in the morning. I want to have a good weigh in Monday too!

    Veronica - I have decided not to sweat the calorie thing. I am trying to listen to my body and only eat when I am hungry if I am less than 1200, oh well. Eventually I will lose. I generally stay the same for a week or two then drop 3-5 in one week.

    Casie - I know what you mean about the Support Board. I just avoid the topics that I know are on the negative side or bantering back and forth. I know those folders are burning but I don't think it is very interesting.

    Laura - Maybe we will both be screaming YES on Monday. I am a little off track as far as how much I need to lose for the challenge but I am feeling much thinner in my clothes.

    Lisanbel - I just received a 90 day supply on Tuesday for 150 free shipping. One of the phenster hooked me up to the site. My first site was also 150 but did not include shipping. I bought my first 30 from the first site. This second shipping is different and seems more potent...I think it is a different generic time released one.

    hey girls!

    can anyone tell me how many calories i should be eating a day and what my diet should consist of? i'm clueless! i need to get my **** up and start exercising again-aunt flo paid me a visit this week also -haven't felt like doing much! i've decided to only weigh on mondays-been driving myself crazy since i started last week. anyone know any good workouts for shrinking your arms? my upper arms are the things i dislike most about my body. those and back fat-i'm very concerned with that too! i'm glad everyone is doing so well. keep up the good work!
