    To help make this journey easier I decided to start a thread for those of you who are interested in checking in with others on a daily basis to help keep you on track.

    I know a few of us have already buddied up and I would like to invite others to join as well.

    This thread is dedicated to supporting each other, checking in to keep ourselves accountable, and to share tips. I think we should also weigh in once a week. What do you think?

    Anyhow a little about me...

    My name is Shannon. I'm a stay at home mom with three kids and a fab hubby. My youngest child is 2 years old and I've been having a heck of a time lossing weight since I had him. I started 2008 at 186lbs. On my own I have dropped 12lbs. I started Phen-D on June 23 at 174lbs. I had my first weigh in on June 30. I lost nothing my first week. Let me just say that I didn't try that hard either because I was on vacation for 5 out of the 7 days. Currently, I'm taking this lifestyle change one day at a time. I'm completely focusing on making the right choices just for today. I am eating natural and organic foods with lots of water. No alcohol! That one might hurt on the weekends, although it will be worth it. And I'm exercising everyday. I'm starting with a brisk 30 minute walk a day. Next week I'll add more. Ok... so thats me in a nutshell.

    That sounds great to me. It would be nice to have a weightloss buddy. I am a mother of one a 6 year old girl.
    Currently on phentermine a month and about 3 days. Current weight 185 at 5f. 5in.. I am taking the healthy lifestyle one day at a time. Its hard to always eat right. I brisk walk also. Start weight before phen 205.

    First week on Phen. If I run to a scale one more time a may just lose it!! I am a mother of six- 3 boys, 3 girls and married to Mr. Wonderful. Having a weight loss buddy sounds great. Taking it one day at a time. SW-194 (without Phen.) CW-181 30 min on treadmill 4xweek. More when I can. Looking forward to 160 pds.

    Hey and welcome ladies! Glad you decided to join us.

    Well I thought I would check in since I have some time this morning. I did pretty good yesterday with my food. Not perfect but nothing to cry over either. I spent the day pretty much getting settled back in from vacation. You know the routine: laundry, cleaning, etc. Sadly though I was not able to get on my treadmill yesterday. I was too exhausted by the time the last kiddo went to bed. But since it is recommended to work out at least 3xs a week, I'm not gonna get upset over missing one day.

    So my goals for today are to do a brisk 30 minute walk on the treadmill, super strict with food today, and doing some ab work. If I'm reading the scale correctly (kinds hard to focus on all those little lines first thing in the morning) I have lost 5lbs. But I'm gonna wait for my weigh in at my docs office for an offical number. I also have lost 2 1/2 inches from my waist.

    I should have taken my measurements right before starting but I didn't, OOOPPPSSS!!! Although, I kinda remember what my waist size was. So I'm doing a little guessing here.

    How is everyone else doing? Is anyone taking Phen-D? How about B-12, B-6, and/or hCG shots?

    checking in like promised...well today i worked 12 hours 6am. 6pm. I do physical labor. lifting, bending, walking. so i get a pretty good work out there but when i am off that's when i do my brisk walking. I am way to exhausted to do anything after those long hours on my feet.. haven't taken my measurements yet. i did good with my eating yesterday for the first time EVER! yeah me and i followed up with it today. I eat a lot of fruit. it fills me up and gives me a good poop.lol. talk to ya tomorrow

    well i ate bad yesterday but it was the first time since 6/11. did great all day then has sonnys bbq for dinner . good thing is i ordered a luch portion instead of dinner. i have not lost anything in like 10 days so im going to carb up this weekend and go off phen. going to start atkins on monday and restart the phen. i hope this works for me i have seen that it has helped alot of people on here.

I have been there for about 4 years.I have a toy poodle her name is Troule and the name fits her. I have been on phen since Dec, 07. I have lost a lil of 60 pounds.

    WOW! You lost 60 pounds since Dec. Congrats on all the hard work and great success you are having. You look fab!

    Daily Check-In: I did good yesterday with my food. I took my big ol' barrel of water and a snack with me as I was running errands which really saved me. I did eat one chocolate chip cookie yesterday but I'm not gonna cry over it. As low as my calories are I could afford myself one cookie and stay on track. I'm very proud of myself though that I did not have more than one. I didn't even eat any of the batter as I was making them. Shocking, I know. As far as exercise, I went above and beyond my goal for yesterday. I jumped onto the treadmill and went for 45 minutes. I was also doing circuits with on there. Where you increase your speed and incline every minute then take it back down, then back up, etc. I was dripping sweat and soaked my shirt by the time I got off. I was great!!!

    Today I do not plan on exercising because of the chaos of the holiday and fireworks tonight. Although, I do plan on taking my own food to our BBQ and fireworks show tonight. I weigh in on Monday at the docs office. I've been sssooo good this week I know its going to pay off.

    Have a safe and fun 4th of July. Be careful on the roads.

    yeppers 60, right now i am a lil over 60 like 62. I am holding around that because I have not really beem doing what I should be. But I just got back on track this past week.

    Daoly check in: Yester was a great day I was good on my diet went to the gym for an hour. Starting monday I am going to make some changes in in my diet and work out.. I am going to start drinking fat free milk hmmmm not realy sure about that one. and I am now adding weigts to my gym time. I think I may cut back my daily intake to 1,100 I am taking in about 1,200 as of right now hmmm we will see.

    check check- today i hate fairly descent of course i was at work all day (12hrs) had turkey sausage jambalayia for breakfast one serving..he he and had fruit salad for lunch...dinner i just had cereal..that's backwards huh..and only took a half of phen. my physical is on the job..don't have much left outta me energy wise after 12 long hours

    Daily Check-In: So far today I have been great. Staying right on point and I do not even feel the need to snack. That is a change for me. I will have to workout this evening though. I need to get into the habit of working out in the morning while everyone is still asleep.

    As for yesterday, I did mostly good. I stayed on top of my water and eating lots of veggies and a little fruit. Although, I did have one chip and a piece of fried chicken. I only had two choices for protein yesterday since we were out for the fireworks. I could have a piece of friend chicken or I could have nothing. And since I needed protein I ate a reasonable size piece of chicken.

    I am surprised everyday that I get on the scale and measure my waist. The numbers keep going down. I will give my offical weigh in on Monday when I weigh in at the docs.

    Check-In Sunday June 6th:

    I did 45 minutes of walking/jogging on my treadmill. I also varied the incline from 1.5 to 8. I worked up a great sweat. I also used some free weights today. Nothing too major but I plan on adding free weights into my routine starting tomorrow. Then I will be able to cut down on my cardio.

    Food wise I did good today. I actually had no appitite for most of the day. I ate some grilled chicken mid morning and that was it till dinner. I have been avoiding carbs this week without even realizing it so I had a dinner with pasta and some garlic bread. I could tell during my workout today that my muscles were depleted.

    I have weigh in tomorrow so I will post my weight tomorrow.

    check in- well i haven't done that great today..july 4th i was totally sick nausesa becuz i hadn't pooped in like 3 or 4 days. so i finally did but it hurt with a little blood...yuck. and i felt a whole lot better afterwards still little sick. i had to eat more fat. i got me a big mac and fries and felt really good. then sat. i drank a cup of dieter's tea. and took a good one with no pain what so ever. I drank plenty of water everyday. I am use to being regular guess that's why i was sick when i didn't go in all that time. this was my only day off so i didn't do anything...if i don't start back exercising i am going to regret it.

    Check-in: Sad to say I am still having problems posting but.......I am still losing. Today my weight is 176. I feel excited about this and the fact that I havent taking Phen in 3 days. Still eating in small portions and staying away from the wrong kind of food. Today is my first day starting back on Phen since Thursday. I felt as though I had taken a laxative. Which isn't so bad. (LOL) Havent been exercising and I do feel bad about it gonna do 2miles on treadmill today and go from there. Doc put me on antibiotics 2 different kinds for ulcer. Has anyone been on antibiotcs and took Phen????How did it go?? Fried foods make me wanna vomit so I stay away.(gonna miss my fried chicken) but anyway trying to get fit . My mini-goal for Sat is 170 I plan to make it. Keep me in your prayers lady and I of course will do the same. Take care until next time.

    Today was my doc weigh in. I weighed in at 169 so I am down 6 pounds for the week. I thought it was going to be more but I am satisfied with my progress thus far. And I am happy that the 6 pounds is not "water weight". I swore off sodas at the begining of the year and stick to water. Which I know I get plenty of every day.

    My goal for the month is to lose 10 pounds by Aug. 1st. I know I can do it.

    check in-after my grease fest yesterday and the day before..and the tea. i got up this morning and i was down 2 pds. wow! i couldn't believe it. i guess i needed that becuz i was being really careful about my calories most people her was telling me that u have to eat between 1000-1200 calories to loose..i guess that doesn't mean me. when i ate i lost but didn't over do it. i feel better now. but i ate pretty good today maybe about 1500 calories today. i think i am going to change up my calories like that. that's what has worked for me and i am sticking to it.

    Check-in: Usually the scale moves daily.......but noooo not today. I am ticked about this. Especially since i worked out yesterday. hmmm oh well. Goal by August 1 is to lose ten pds. I can do this. Gonna keep on pushing by exercising and watching what I eat. Not feeling really hungry today. Something else I realized if I dont take Phen at 9:30-10:00 I will not make it through the evening. Wel good luck folks and keep on pushing!!

    I would like to join you girls, if I may. My name is Sara. I am a single mother to three beautifule children, 13 yo daughter, 5 yo son, and 2 yo daughter. I started Phen last summer when I was having relationship problems and was being put down constantly by my Mr. Wonderful. I lost 30 pounds and we ended up getting back together and I quit taking Phen and gained ALL MY WEIGHT BACK BECAUSE HE USED TO GET MAD AT WHEN WHEN i DIDN'T WANT TO EAT AT MIDNIGHT WHEN HE WAS DRUNK AND WANTED FAST FOOD!
    Dec. 2007 we moved back home to San Diego and April 1, 2008, I decided that enough was enough and with the support of my family and friends, I finally left him for good! Now, I am back on my Phen and am hoping to keep it off this time! I am going to Vegas with "The Girls" Aug 21st and would love to lose as much as possible by then! I am 5 foot 2 inches, 176 pounds and 31 years young. I work at Childrens Hospital as a Unit Clerk. My only issue is that I work nights from 7pm to 7:30am three nights a week. That kinda throws me off but I'm going to try my best!
    I look forward to talking with everyone daily and getting to know everyone better!

    This is a good thread , My name is Jasalyn I'm from Dallas,TX and I don't have any kids , I'm currently in the process of getting my life together, mentally ,physically,financially and emotionally. I'm learning to love myself again and put a stop to putting others before me. I guess you can call It a LIFE makeover, spiritually from within and physically from the outside. Ive learned that if I don't love Myself , then I cant Love anyone else.
    Ive recently Just had a break up With an @$$HOLE who has taken 4 years of my life, in Which I should have spent getting to know myself, Ive missed so many other opportunities because Ive Let this man take up four years of my life, Now I'm stuck thinking where I could be right now in Life If I had never made the decision to commit. His negative energy has cause me to stop loving me. I now see that I need to get rid of all negative forces In my life to Focus on what's most Important, and that is My Life My Health My Career My Financial Status and most Important My Appearance In My VIEW , not others. I need the help and support from my phen family to help me accomplish what I know Is possible , and I try to be supportive of others In the same way. Checking in will be awesome, Its gives me a reason to want to keep doing right , and also be accountable for my own actions..     I will Go ahead and post , Since the 7th of July Ive gone Vegan , So no meat for me..Ive got to get this done once and for all.. I had 1 cup of Pineapples , 1 Cup of Grapes , and a small Salad and lots of water... I only plan to do this for one week ... As of 7/7 I'm 183 and I will be posting more updates daily to keep me on point lol..

    I would LOVE to have a buddy, too.

    Anyhow, my name is Stacy. I am married to the military (ha ha ha), and have 2 wonderful children. I gained over 100 lbs. with my 2nd child. I am now 204 lbs. (I think, I haven't weighed since Sunday) but when I started this weight lost journey I was somewhere around 270. I went on WW in 2005 and it took about 15 months to lose around 60 lbs. Now I'm stuck. So I started Phen on July 3rd. Looking to lose 60 lbs.

    If anyone is interested in being me buddy, let me know. lol I'm whoring myself out for another loser like me.

    Check-in: Hello everyone! I weighed this morning before work. 174pds! However, once I weighed in at work 176pds. For some reason I just feel awful. Doctor has me on antibiotics and to be honest I have not taking Phen today. Dont think I will today. I havent felt like eating but I did eat applesauce and Trail mix bar. WHoop-ee!! (Yeah right) Hope everyone is doing great and once again.....keep on pushing!!

    WOW we got some new ladies here, how exciting! Welcome to everyone who is new. To catch you up I am Shannon. I'm turning 30 this year in Sept and we also have a large family vacation to Disney World this year. This is my main motivation to keep on track and those this excess baggage. I am a stay at home mom and have 3 kiddos. The oldest daughter is 13, the middle daughter is 6, and the youngest is a 2 year old boy.

    This year I weighed in at 186 pounds. Mind you this is the same weight I was when I walked out of the hospital after having my son. Scary!!!! I started dieting and exercising with little success. I lost 12 pounds on my own. I started Phen-D on June 23rd. My first week was a bomb because I didn't do anything to help myself lose weight. (We went to The River for 5 days and appreantly excessive drinking and food does not help you lose weight. Go figure.) I buckled down for my second week and lost 6 pounds of fat and not water weight. I gave up drinking sodas at the begining of the year and only drink water. So I know I am always hydrated. I even dropped a clothing size this week. I am currently on my 3rd week and going strong. (Holy you know what I can't believe I'm on my 3rd week!) With the help of Phen-D I have been able to change some major habits and I'm very proud of that. Now I mainly eat organic fresh fruits and veggies, my family is stunned. Everyone used to call me a meat-a-tarian because I wouldn't eat fruits and veggies if my life depended on it. I have also incorporated exercise into my daily routine. Last year at this time I would have made every excuse in the book to not work out. At one point in my life I loved going to the gym, feeling my muscles burn, and working up a sweat. I am getting back to that again.

    Ok, sorry, that was kinda long but honestly I talk to children all day long and crave adult interaction!

    Daily Check-In: I forgot to check in for a couple of days I think. So here goes. I have been on track lately. Yesterday was a crappy day for me though. My car over heated 3 times. Each time, of course, I had kids in the car. My treadmill won't freaken work. And I just used it the other day. Things went wrong all day. To top off my day I had a huge fight with my hubby and resorted to an old habit that I usually deny. Last night I had 6 chicken nuggest with BBQ sauce and some fries. This was emotional eating and I know it. Eating that junk didn't make me feel better emotionally and I know I won't be doing it again. So, moving on!

    Today I'm starting fresh. Anyone ever use The Firm exercise tapes or equipment? I used to have some but sold my "fannylifter" at a garage sale, although I still have the tapes. I got the newer version of the fanny lifter today because it was on clearance. I'm starting to incorporate more weights into my exercise routine so I can sculpt my body to what it once was. Strong and lean. Today I vow to keep my eating clean. I have weigh in on Monday and want that scale to go down. My scale at home and the doc scale read two different things so for sanity sake I will go by the doc scale. I measured myself this morning and found that I have lost another inch in my waist. That makes about 3 inches thus far.

    So anyways... This is long enough, a mini novel even, I just needed to vent some and talk some things out. Thanks for listening. I'm going to use The Firm today and let everyone know tomorrow how it went. Keep eating clean and exercising! We are all going to have great success!

    Today I am happy!! I have been taking antibiotics and feeling like a brown version of Ms. Piggy but..................DRUMROLL..................... .I am 174lbs as of 12:02pm. Decided to take frustrations out on treadmill and continued exercise and cutting back. 2 days off Phen and still losing. My stomach gives me the creeps and crunches hurt like heck. But I will continue no pain no gain...........well no pain no weight loss. I am 5'2 so my weight tends to sit on places that i would rather it not. Still I am 2 pds. down in 2 days without Phen. Now dont get me wrong I cant wait til I am done with antibiotics so that I can start back on Phen. Ladies lets keep it moving..........................until next time.

    Checking- In:
    I found out yesterday that my treadmill needs a part replaced that will cost about $200. So I'm gonna have to wait till the end of this month to replace it. In the mean time I started using The Firm workout dvds. I really like them because they use weights and do not just rely on cardio to lose weight. I even worked out first thing this morning.

    I also started carb cycling today. I am writing down everything that I am eating and the nutritional info as well. Since starting Phen-D I have never counted a calorie but I think I may have been shorting myself. So I will now track my cals, fat, protein, and carbs. I'm turning my body into a fat buring machine!

    I know my big goal for yesterday was to write down my food but I didn't. It's just such a pain in the you know what. But today I am doing it. I even got a cute little notebook to write in. I'm a bit concerned that I have not lost much weight this week. I'm completely distrustful of my scale at home. I have been sticking to my diet and exercising but the scale doesn't seem to be doing much. I'm gonna ask that my script be upped or changed to Phen instead of Phen-D.

    How is everyone else doing? I can't hear about everybodys progress. Is anyone else taking that 10 pounds gone by August challenge?

    Check-in: Today I am so disgusted. Out of all the days to decide to cheat and eat Mcdonalds!! I ordered my favorite grilled chicken club got all the way back to the office (salivating like crazy) opened box and there is a HUGE beetle eating my 4 dollar sandwich. I literally broke down in tears and asked God WHY???? I was so hurt. I cant even cheat right! Anyway, I end up eatin gapplesauce on lunch today. I am not on Phen at the present so I am feeling hunger pains. 5 more days on antibiotics and afterwards Phen and I are going on a romantic getaway.
    Shannon- I decided to take on that challenge 10pds by August 1st. So far, only 2pds gone. Starting to wonder if I am way over my head. LOL
    Ladies lets get it together.....I need all the support I can get. Anniversay in Sept and my goal is to be 160 or less........Lets keep it moving. Until next time..

    I had weigh in today at the clinic. I lost 3 pounds over this past week. Not bad, just not what I was expecting. Today my dosage was upped. I had a difficult week last week and got through it with sheer willpower. Which only lasts for so long. So I am now on 4 Phen-D a day. I can totally tell a difference. Which reminds me I need to workout still for today. So I ate good today. You know the usual: salad, yougurt, roasted chicken, some rice. Well, I need to make this short because I want to workout before my husband gets home.

    Queen- I'm glad you joined the challenge too. It will be difficult but if lossing weight were easy we wouldn't need Phen or anything else for that matter. I am sure that we will lose 10 pounds by Aug. 1st. We are already well on our way. Keep it up!

    Another day down. My Phen-D dosage was doubled yesterday and I'm having a heck of a time eating. I am not consuming nearly enough calories and my stomach looks as though its bloated. Tomorrow I am going to work hard to get on track with eating. Who ever thought any of us would have a problem not feeling hungry or eating enough, lmao.

    On the up side my car broke down. Ok so it is not a huge up side. Although, in my suburb I have almost everything that I need within a reasonable distance from me. So today I got out my bike, hooked up the bike trailor for the kids, and went off to do my errands. I actually originally purchased my bike trailor with the intention to ride my bike to do errands to cut down on gas. It wasn't until now that I finally put that plan into action. I now have a new goal concerning my weight loss. My goal is to ride 100 miles this summer. I need to get a bike odometer so I can track my progress. I can't tell you how great it felt today not having to rely on my vehical to get things done. I also got in extra exercise. I am going to have the most shapely legs!

    Keep up the great work ladies. And let's hear about your progress over this past week.

    Check-In: I did good with food today. Each day it gets easier and easier to make the right choices. I also got in lots of exercise today. I did a 55 minute circuit training dvd this afternoon. By the time I was done my shirt was soaked front and back, except where my bra was. I couldn't believe how much I sweated. After my workout I went for a bike ride. My car isn't working correctly so I am peddling everwhere.

    Today I went to my clinic to get my shot and decided to get a fat burner pill that they have. It was only $5 for 30ct. I could tell that it really helped me burn more calories while exercising. Thus all the sweat.

    Anyhow, I'm gonna go spend quality time with my hubby. Have a good night everyone. See you here tomorrow.

    P.S.- Would anyone be interested in doing a weekly weigh in?

    Check-in: WELL......TOM has come for a visit. Can't wait to give ole TOM the boot. I feel tired and weak. Two more days and I will be done with antibiotics. YEAH!!! Scale is not my friend today 175.2pds. *Humph* Just when I thought we were beginning to be friends. Well, I havent exercised in 2 days. My husband has come up with the idea of doing yardwork today. *BLAH* I will get out there and work it out!! Probably why I feel so tired. Hope everyone is doing well.     I went to the doc today to get my pills for next week and to be weighed. I've lost 5 pounds. I'm slightly disappointed because I was hoping for 10, but actually tomorrow is one week for me since I didn't start until last Friday. But a week ago I was 5 pounds heavier than I am today, so I am glad. I won't start the fat burners until I go back next week since I'd like to wait and see what I lose before that. I've decided when I get back from Vegas at the end of this month I'm going to switch to Atkins. The nurse at the office told me I should lose the weight in 4 months...uh uh. I can do better than that. I've decided to switch things up every 2 weeks to keep my body guessing and see where I am at in 2 months.
