Check-In: Today I cleaned out my garage and backyard. I sure hope that counts as exercise since I was doing lots of heavy lifting. I'm not sure I could do a 55 minute circuit training dvd tonight. I literally started at 11am and stopped at 5pm. I only stopped long enough to eat some lunch (didn't even sit down) and use the restroom. I was a sweaty dirty mess!!!

Anyhow... I hate my home scale! I'm not sure if it is accurate and the darn lines that represent numbers are just too small for me to see when I'm standing on it. I had my husband read it off for me this morning and he said 161 or 162. But I'm not sure I can believe that because it didn't look like that to me. So after my little meltdown he promised to buy me a reliable digital scale. My hero!! Although, I wouldn't be completely surprised if I lost about 4 pounds already this week. My Phen-D dose was raised and I am riding my bike everywhere (pulling kids in the bike trailor) because my car isn't working correctly. Besides that I also started a fat burner. And the way it was explained to me was it will help burn more calories when working out. I guess we will see on Monday when I weigh in at the clinic.

Oh, I decided (and everyone is more than welcome to join me) that I was going to do an offical weigh in day. I am going to post my offical weight on Mondays since that is the day that I weigh in at my clinic. If anyone would like to join me just post your weight and weight loss for the previous week on the day that you weigh in with your clinic or doc. I am also going to post a major goal for my next week on Mondays. This goes along with the whole theory that if you tell others about your progress and goals then you will work that much harder to accomplish them.

Check-In: For exercise I did one of my Firm dvds. It's an intense 55 minute circuit training dvd. Goodness I work and sweat so much during that workout, it's number 1 in my book. Anyhow, I am getting used to my adjusted Phen-D dosage. I can eat now as oppossed to not being able to eat at all. So its progress.

I got the bright idea this morning to take my scale out of my bathroom upstairs and weigh myself in my garage. When I weigh myself in my garage it clearly reads 160 or 161. This weight seems reasonable to me since I have really stepped up my exercise this week.

Well I'm off to help my Aunt. Have a great night ladies.

Hello Ladies,
My name is Kellee and I would love to be a part of your group. This is my second time taking Phen/Phen D combo. The first time it worked great but I did not take my vitamins as directed and had alot of hair loss. I had some personal crisis and gained all my weight back plus 25lbs. I am dealing with my situation with the grace of God and the help of my family. I have a 2 and 1/2 year old and I am married to Mr. Wonderful also. I work as a gudance counselor and I have 2 more semesters to get my MSW.
Check-In: Monday I upped myself to 30mg from 15 mg so I take the Phen between 7-8 am and I take Phen-D about 3pm. Today I was very hungry for the first time since I have been back on Phen these last 4 weeks. I just got in from the gym I did 40 minutes of cardio. I am so POd because the gym workers closed down 15 minutes early so it shortened my workout. I typically go to the gym Thurs-Sun and Mon-Wed I do activities at home. Tomorrow I have a wedding and I am dreading the reception. I'll check-in tomorrow with all the gory details.

Hello,
I went to the wedding I did ok with the food. I did appropriate portions size and I had 1/4 of a slither of cake. When I weighed myself I lost a pound and a half. Now I am wondering maybe I am not eating enough. This is the third time that I ate more than I typically do and had weight loss. What do you ladies think about that? Has anyone else experienced eating more and weighing less the next day? I changed my pics to pics I took yesterday at the wedding.

Hi my name is Julie. I have been on phen combined with the core Weight Watchers program for about 5 days. i take 30 mg. I have 25-35 lbs to lose. I had lapband surgery 2 years ago and lost 100 lbs. The last 20 or so have been the same for 7 months now. My lapband doctor prescribed me 3 months of phen to see how I would do. So far so good. I am not hungry until late afternoon. i eat high protein, fruits and vegies. I am trying to cut down on my alcohol consumption. That would really help, plus exercisxe.

Welcome to the new ladies! We are glad to have you.

Kell: It is very common to eat more than your usual amount of calories and have a good amount of weight loss after that. After about a week or two your body starts to get used to your calorie deficit or exercise routine. Then your metabolism starts to adjust to your new routine. That is why a lot of people experience plataues. A couple of very common things that people do to bust through a plataue is to either carb cycle or calorie cycle. And just like it sounds you are alternating the amount of either calories or carbs you have on any given day. That way your body does not know whether it is going to get 1,000 calories for the day or 1,500 calories. Another key is to eat small meals about every 3 hours.

Check-In: I haven't been around in a day or so because it has been chaos at my house. My 6 year old has an ear infection due to swimmers ear. Thursday and Friday night she couldn't sleep because she was in so much pain. It was a rough couple of nights. I saw what 4am looks like, twice. And last night my son fell on his hand/arm and really messed it up. He is now is a cast and sling. So we had the pleasure of spending the night in urgent care. But at least we got home at 1:30am last night. Both are doing much better now, thank goodness. I seriously need some rest tonight.

So onto diet and exercise... I had a chili cheese dog the other day. Bad Shannon, bad Shannon (smacks hand). Ok, I've punished myself. It actually didn't taste as good as I remembered them tasting. Oh my gosh I think I'm really starting to like veggies (scared). I really love the way I feel after eating a salad as oppossed to some super fatty fried food. I started carb cycling today. WooHoo! Today is my no carb day. I never thought I would be able to go a day without a carb, but I found it very easy to do. I have been keeping up on my exercise. The Firm really kicks my butt! It's great. I measured myself and I've lost another inch around my waist and an inch around my hips. I will post my 4th week weight loss tomorrow after I weigh in at the clinic. I really worked my arse off this past week and I'm hoping I've dropped 5 pounds.

This seems like a cool thread, so count me in. Nothing like some good support.
I am a single mother of two: a 13 year old son and daughter getting ready to turn 11. I live in Oklahoma. When I started phen I was 189 last time I checked I was down 10lbs. I havent weighed again because TOM was here and I didnt want to commit suicide when I saw the scale. I think the buddy thing is good cuz helps u be more accountable for what u do.

I am right now as we speak drinking dieter's tea. I get them from various Asian Markets. Today I have no where to go so I will drink 3 cups and cleanse cleans cleanse. GNC also so has one called smooth move. But after a few times smooth move did not work for me. I am going to finish this tea with a 100 calorie chocoltae pudding and Viola. I hope this helps.

Hey Ladies! How is everyone doing? Seems like there is a sense of renewed determination around here. I love it!

Whitegold- I heard dieter's tea will work. Give that a try. I understand the constipation. I think most of us here have experienced it.

So I had weigh in today and I'm down 3 pounds from last week. I'm happy that I'm lossing but for gosh sakes 3 pounds!?! I exercised my bum off this past week and I only lost 3 pounds. I asked to be switched from Phen-D to Phen. I don't know I'm confused. I guess I want to see big numbers like everyone else. So in a months time I lost 12 pounds. I wish it were 20 though lol. Oh well.

I decided today that I was going to treat myself. So I ate what I wanted today, although I did not go overboard. I hope this calorie spike will shake up my metabolism. I'm sure my body is getting used to the calorie deficit.

Back to the grind tomorrow. Keep it up ladies. Offical weight 163lbs.

Quick Check-In: I need to work on timing my meals because I know I'm not getting enough calories. I'm looking to drop 4pounds this week. I want to break the 3 pound mark. I went for a long bike ride with the kids today then I did my circuit training dvd (55min). I am going to do an ab routine tonight. Have a good night folks.

Check-in: Hello all! Weight today 173pds. Happy I am still in the game. Just in case I dont reach my 10pd mark by August 1. I have set a mini goal to not lose no less than 8pds by August 1. Hey.....gotta stay motivated somehow. So far I have lost 5pds. since starting 10pd challenge. Only 8pds this..... month slowly but surely. I did a 3 mile walk before work and I am exhausted. Yesterday I took a day off from exercise.

Today I did Ultimate Calorie Blaster (45min) from The TransFIRMer series of The Firm. I also did an 8min ab workout.

I have noticed that I'm having some really bad mood swings lately. I think it is from the Phen-D. Although when I first started Phen-D I felt really happy go lucky. I know that I am losing weight but for some reason I'm feeling some anxiety and losing focus of eating properly. Right now I go without eating instead of just making a salad. I know I'm not thinking correctly because I know what I should be eating and I have been doing it for the past 4 weeks. Maybe I should chalk this all up to TOM and Phen-D not getting along too well. I will see how I feel in a few days. Hopefully a heck of a lot better. The mental anguish is worse than the physical.

I am not really hungry today just really agitated if you read my post from earlier you understand. I was down another 1lb and for TOM that's great. I am going on vacation next week with my daughter, niece and my cousin and her daughter. I am taking healthy food with me , a first for vacation. THE HOTEL HAS A GYM!!!!! So I plan on coming back in the 230's. Ambitious I know but I just do better when I have consistent access to the gym.

Sorry that I haven't checked in for a few days. I've been on the board, but not here.

I started working out this week. In fact, I've been doing TaeBo. I messed around and did it for an hour the other day and had to take yesterday off because I could barely walk my dogs. D@mn Billy Blanks! I'm gonna find him and it's on when I do...man didn't know when to stop! But I know when my muscles hurt it's a good thing. As a matter of fact I will do Tae Bo again tonight. I have to go pick up my pills tomorrow, I didn't get over there today Weigh in!!!

Hey everyone how is it going? It has been a pretty trying week for me. Just a lot of stuff going on and I can't tell whether it is the Phen-D that is messing with me or what. Also, I started feeling like my Phen-D wan't working on about Wed. or Thurs. I felt no appetite suppression or energy. I really slacked on my eating also. I did some late night snacking, which I haven't done in a long time. I also had a few drinks this weekend and ate what everyone else was eating. I don't know if I lost weight this week but I need to get back on track tomorrow. On the bright side I did work out 5 times this week (Mon - Fri). Even though I felt as though I did not have the energy for it, I pushed through and worked out anyways.

Not feeling like yourself really ****s.

I had weigh in today and lost 2 pounds this past week. I'm surprised I lost anything because this weekend I actually gave into the pizza and beers (all weekend long). Since my usual weight loss for the week is 3 pounds I'm pretty proud of myself for lossing two. Not that depressing lol. Anyhow, I am darn happy that I back to feeling like myself this morning. ADHD, goofy and happy! The whole anxiety stuff ****s but such is life sometimes. So today I will either be doing a 45 minute ultimate calorie blaster or the 55 minute circuit training. I am getting back on track with eating properly as well. I noticed when I was eating the pizza and having the beers that I was feeling depressed. So I'm back with a renewed spirit. I'm aiming for a 4 pound weight loss this week.

Hi my name is Latasha.I just turned 34 years of age.I have been obese all of my life but this time I really hit an all time high.I have been on phentermine before when I weighed 298 lbs 4 years ago and lost 100 lbs.I did not follow through with my diet for idiotic and personal reasons and slowly but surely over the years I fell off the wagon. I weighed 355lbs in May and decided that it was time for me to get my act back together and this time to stick with it ! I want to do more with my life than just sit at home and be unable to do much of anything because of being overweight.My plans are to lose the weight and go back to school and have the kind of future that i want and deserve.I am currently 5 feet 1 and was at the doctor's office friday,my weight was 330lbs so I have lost a total of 25lbs since May.I drink plenty of water and prefer sugar free koolaid in between time.I use pilates band everyday to tone as I lose the weight to try and prevent sagging skin and every couple of days I do about 10 minutes of Cardio with my Denise Austin Indoor walk dvd .At this point about 10 minutes of cardio is all that I can do because my feet her badly from me being so overweight but I will be able to do more as time goes on.My goal is to reach 140lbs.Yes I have a huge mountain to climb but with God's help,the support of my family,and the people from this board than I know that i can do it.I only weigh in once a month when I go into the doctor's office for my follow up visit because if i had a scale in my home than I would go crazy by constantly getting on it all of the time.LOL! It is nice being a part of this group again and I am here for support if anyone needs it.

Hello everyone! I've been checking out this site since I started Phen on July 9th. I think that I have lost a total of 6lbs, but I have not weighed in a week. Here's a short Bio, I just turned 35 this month. I started gaining weight in my early 20's. I must have put on a total of 30 pounds. I've been married for 13 years, but we've been together for 18 years. About 3 years ago, I decided that I was going to get into shape. I hired a personal trainer and worked my butt off to lose weight and get into shape. I lost 30 pounds, went down to a size 5 (may-be a little smaller) was in the best shape of my life and then out of the blue I got pregnant. It was such a shocker!! After all those years, I didn't think that it could happen. To make a long story short, I have a beautiful 2.5 year old, who I adore. I gained about 60 pounds during my pregnancy and I've had the hardest time losing it. It makes me very sad because I've felt so bad about being overweight that I think that I've missed out on alot with my daughter. I can count on one hand the number of pictures I've taken with her, because I don't want to see myself in pictures because I feel like I look huge. I know that it sounds bad, but I'm sure you ladies understand. I finally decided to ask my PCP and she was great about prescribing me the Phen. I think that as a woman she understands my struggle a little better. I must admit that I've been good as far as the food part of my changes, but I've been really bad about working out. Although that is going to change today. I have a brand new treadmill at home that I'm about to hit hard tonight. I look forward to sharing my sucess with you all and appreciate the support. Sorry to make this so long, but I just had to get this off my chest....LOL!!!

today I have read a few e-mails fr a few members. complaining about newbies coming to the phen site looking for sympathy. calling peolpe throlls what the hell is that about? the forum that I KNOW SHOULD NOT BE ABOUT MAKING FUN AT EACH OTHER. people are going to come on and be free to talk about anything. when you r overweight strangers r gonna look @ you disgusting. or maybe call you a THROLL. this is not the way to act. this site dont belong to you it is freeeeeeeee to all. so if you wanna call other people throll look at your before pic STOP DISCOURAGING NEWBIES set example for others AND GROW THE HELL UP.

WOW! I have no idea whats going on although I think the way things have been going lately is very off putting for many of us, especially new people who are just looking for support. Anyhow...

I was spot on with eating today! WooHoo! I'm back on the wagon. For exercise I did a 55 minute circuit. Goodness it hurt so good. I am going to have to up my weights though because I am not being challenged anymore. I'm off, I need to sleep. I've got a full week ahead of me.

Check-in: H'lo all! Welcome everyone! I hope that evryone is doing great getting enough water and exercising til your toenails hurt. LOL. It is nice to see that we are on a mission to better our health. Also, that we are on a mission to help others with words of comfort and dose of humor when needed. I appreciate everyone here and want to say thank you for allowing me to ramble on! Alrighty then........since I have been back on Phen I have had the hardest time making myself take it. It feels as though I would rather gag than swallow. I still take it but.......I dont want to eat anything and I run straight to my bed w/e I am home. This is new to me because even when I used Phen before i still wanted to eat even if it was not much i wanted food. Hmm...My weight as of 12:30 today is 172pds. Looks like I am about to join the 160 club....Oh my I havent been there in a while!!!! What should I wear????LOL...Ladies I look forward to us getting to our goal weight. We can and we will!!!! Hello ladies-Count me would really use have someone I could vent to everyday!! My name is Ayesha my screen name is Esha99 am single mother of two boys ages 2 and 4.. I didnt get my phen from my doc I order them online from ediet pills at first i was scared to take them but when I first start in feb I lost like 13lbs in no time...I haven't been taken my pills regular until last week I had to do something am 28 years old I weigh 248 when I was in school i was 180 and my 10 year class reunion is next year so I need to get it together...LOL!!

Hi Everyone and WELCOME TO THE NEW LADIES! I'm so tired right now. So onto check in. Yesterday I did The Firm's Ultimate Calorie Blaster. That was 45 minutes long. Today was my rest day although I was out for 3 hours today putting up garage sale signs. Then from 3pm till about 9pm I was moving heavy boxes. I am getting back up in the morning at 5am. Goodness! Anyhow, I didn't eat so great today because of being out of the house all day and being too busy to stop to really eat. So I had a couple pieces of pizza and a beer. We are having a 3 day garage sale so tomorrow I am packing my food. I need to stay on track even though I'm very busy. This will be a learning experience to change some habits. Ok, I'm dazing out and rambling.

Well..............I did not make the 10pd challenge goal. Darn those antibiotics and lazy days. Guess what this is a whole new month so I will try it again. 10 pds by Sept 1. Still stuck at 172pds. Ladies I am seriously thinking about trying lipotropic inj. I need a boost because I am moving sloooooww..........If anyone has tried them please give input on what think?? Well gotta run. Hope everyone is doing well. Keep it moving ya'll. UNTIL...............

I was considering lipotropic injections also. Hey, its worth a shot. I weigh in on Monday so I don't know how I did for the total challenge yet. Right now I'm at a total weight loss of 8 pounds for the challenge and a total of 15 pounds for the month of July. I keep wanting to see really large numbers, such as 5 pounds, in a week but I've topped out at 3 so far. Oh well, a loss is a loss no matter how small.

I need to get back on track with food. I've been really bad about eating lately, if I even eat at all. Today, tomorrow, and Sunday I have a garage sale so I really need to make sure I take my food so I'm not just grabbing whatever fast food someone is going to run and get.

Check In: Even though I got up before the sun did today I managed to do The Firm's Supercharged Sculpting dvd (30 mins). I've also been doing lots of lifting and moving today. I still have lots to do tonight and the workout really helped give me an energy boost.

Default Didn't quit meet my goal
Hello there, I'm kinda feeling kinda bad because I did not meet the mini goal I set for myself of getting down to 140 by 8/1. I started Phen on July 9th and have lost a total of 8.5 lbs. I really wanted to be down to 140lbs by 8/1, but it didn't happen. I'll just have to try a little harder.

I hope it's not too late. I would like to join you guys. I am 5'3" and I now weigh 160lbs. I lost 4lbs in my first week of taking phentermine. I am looking forward to the 2nd week. I want to be 130-135 by October 1. I lost 20lbs last year when I was on phentermine. I only took it for 2mo. It has been a year and I was able to keep the weight off. I am ready and motivated to get back to my normal size and weight.
I am 27 and work as a realtor here in TN. I have a 4lb maltese, Bella. She is 2 and lovely. I love the out doors. I do a lot of community service and reading. I love to go out with friends, workout, being out doors and spending time with my wonderful boyfriend.
I am looking forward to checking in everyday. My goals are the following: 1. consume less alcohol. 2. consume no more than 1350 calories. 3. Lose 2-5lbs per week. 4. workout 4-5x per week. 5. weigh in every week. although i weigh in everyday. yes......... its a problem. lol

Measurments 36-31-40 starting weight. 164 as of 7/29/08. current weight 160 goal weight 125-135.

Goodness I'm having a hard time staying on track lately. I'm making all the wrong food choices because of convience. I've been drinking a lot socially lately also. I need to cut that back out completely. I am so bloated from all the beer is ridiculous. I have weigh in tomorrow and I doubt that I've lost anything this week. Maybe my dr. will finally switch me from Phen-d to Phen if I don't lose this next week. I want to lose, at least, 10 pounds by Sept 11th when we are having a birthday celebration for my mother in law and I.

Goals Today: Work out and eat clean.
This coming weeks goal: Lose 3 pounds.
August Personal Challenge: Lose 10 pounds by Sept. 1st.

Time to clean the house. Have a relaxing Sunday everyone.
