We've chatted before, like I said I am not really having trouble now but understand where you are with starting to lose weight having PCOS. PCOS can't make it impossible, harder yes and we'll have to work harder to keep it off. I am also going to forward my sister to this post because she is at the beginning of her loss and has had trouble with PCOS more recently than me. She started phen in June.
How many children do you have? I am guessing at least one from your screen name. I have 2, a 9 year old boy and 2 year old girl. I am the same age as you, I turn 30 in April next year. I was at a much higher weight than you and getting prety close to goal but that does not mean I did not have trouble. I struggled for years and it took some hard things in my life to straighten me out; missed promotions at work, scaring my family that my weight may take me away from them, trouble getting pregnant, miscarriages, stillbirths and finally now a divorce. We are all strong enough, when we are ready to commit the rest of our lives to change we can live a happy healthy life for those whom we care about and care about us. I had been "trying" to lose weight and had lost a little before I had my daughter but since then I refuse to raise her in an environment which will encourage her to think it is ok to be 350 lbs and have the struggles I have had. I have committed myself and all the weight I have lost (and will keep off) to her and me raising her to be a beautiful, happy, healthy woman. I have a son as well, and he is happier now that I have had the courage to end a bad marriage and the energy to play with him and his friends. The impact in my eyes is not the same with him, all of the women in my family are considerably overweight, none of the men are. I focus this for my daughter to break the cycle that goes back several generations in my family of very heavy women.
The very best of luck, like I said I will forward my sister to you. If you have anything I can help with let me know.
