Hi my name is Tracy I started Phen on 06/23 and I weighed in at 383 on 06/21 I have become depressed because I did not realize how hard the weight was on me. I couldn't walk to steps without getting out of breath. Yesterday I went to the Dr and weighed 374 I cry every morning because I want this fat gone I would like to talk to other people that feel the same way. My husband is great support but he cant relate to being overweight and its hard on him to see me so sad sometimes. If anyone is on the way to losing and just getting started and need support too
I ould love to chat

Welcome Tracy!

Congratulations on your 9 pound loss! That is awesome!
First off, your journey to your goal is not going to be won overnight, no ones is...You are going to need to set some mini goals along the way. Meeting those goals will give you the will power to keep going to the long range goal.
Can it be done, yes it can.
You did not get to 383 overnight, it will take time, it will be hard, but you can do it. Others have!
Phen is not a magic pill that makes people loose weight. But it helps us learn to eat right, without the crazy cravings that you usually have while dieting. If you can learn to eat right for a lifetime, while using phen, then stop using phen and contnuing eating correctly you have conquered the demon!

If you need help PM, I would happy to be a support system for ya!

I am pulling for ya! Don't be sad, you are doing something positive...Keep your chin up!

Congratulations on taking the first baby steps at changing your habits to become more healthy. You have already completed your first week !!

I agree with mom2cody... it's a process, a lifestyle change and something that won't happen overnight.

Make mini goals for yourself -- something along the line of the first 20lbs, saying no to the dessert temptation and substituting sugar free jello instead, eating 3 servings of veggies with small meat portion at dinner, adding a small salad to your noon meal, etc. It's all about figuring out what works best for you.

The phen is a GREAT tool to help us overcome the cravings and hunger while on reduced calories. In turn, hopefully all of us will re-learn how to eat properly.

You definately came to the right place for support. I hope you find everything you need on these boards. What is your plan? What is your calorie range each day? You will get lots of ideas for food here too... Are you planning any type of exercise? Swimming, walking, bike riding, etc?

Best of luck to you and please come back and update us on your progress. I am on week 5 and found these boards to be in inspiration. Please feel free to join our buddies thread called Getting in Tune in June.. and we are about to start a new one for July..

Thank you so much for the encouragement. I was having so much anxiety. My lab was ok and i felt better. I am only 4 days into this thing i dropped 9lbs and I can walk around the grocery store without getting tired All I know is that I don't want to go back. It was raining today and I ran to the car and it took me a second and I said wow I am not out of breath. Boy that felt really good.My appetite is not big I eat a bananas and boiled eggs and a bite of chicken breast and drinking water. I am trying to get the exercise by walking. I was so tired before its just amazes me what i can do in 4 days I got a long way to go but im headed there.

Tracy, congrats on taking the first step! You are doing somthing great for you! The weight will come off slow and steady! Each week you will notice a change in yourself. Keep drinking that water, lots of it, at least 64 oz a day. Dont leave home with out your water bottle. Make sure you get your protien, and try to cut the carbs way down. And you are doing the right thing by trying to exercise any way you feel comfortable. Its not about how much right now its just about some! Keep up the good work , we are all here for you!

Well done on making a start,

It can be very hard to keep going but every LB lost is one less to lose, keep in mind the long game plan.

Even with Phen its taken me 17 months to lose 39 LB but I know I feel so much better now that i dont want to go back.

Good luck these boards will keep you motivated I'm sure xx

Hi Tracy, I know where you are. I was upwards of 360-370 (I post 338 because that was my weight when I had my gallbladder removed, didn't have a scale at my house back then - but by that time I had dropped around 40 lbs doing a low carb diet for a few months but I am not sure of those numbers so I go with what I am sure of). Once you have made up your mind that you are done and are committed to changing your life, you will be successful.

It's hard and it's taken me a long time but I am now in better shape than I ever have been and though I have had ups and downs, I can say that I am also the happiest I have ever been. Most of my weight loss came the old fashioned way, diet and exercise. I just recently started phen to get me off a plateau so I can have my excess skin removed in the fall and I am very happy that I only have another 20 lbs or so to lose.

Keep your chin up, this site is a great support system and everyone here will be your cheerleader. They will praise you when you do well and give you advice when you slip.

PM me if you need to chat or have questions. It's hard to get yourself ontrack when the road in front of you looks so long. Believe me I know how intimidating it can be to start a chapter in your life like this, few folks understand the feeling of knowing you have 100-200 lbs to lose but don't fret it can be done. Take care and best of luck.
