Hi Shugga, I read on the directins that if you miss a dose just take it at your regular time the next day. I have missed 2 days in a roll before and it didn't hurt me, also I think I must have still had a little workin for me cause I still wasn't very hungry. Do't worry , you will be fine! Just remember ,today, that you are in control of YOU, and you can totally ignore those cravings and urges to eat something unhealthy! Don't forget to drink your water and just act as if you did take your phen. Good luck and let us know how you did today. Do you find that you are less likely to "cheat" if you know you are posting your daily menu here? I do! I think your idea to post our daily menu was a fabulous idea!

Shannon- Haven't heard from you in a couple of days, I hope you are ok.

Good luck today girls! Let's "kill" some fat cells!hehe

Billie Jo-WOW, you guys have done a lot to your house. We barely have done anything. But now, I feel very motivated to do lots of stuff like painting and such. Before I started the phen and eating right, I didn't have energy to do anything!! I know exactly what you mean about the hot dogs and stuff. When I go all crazy and eat stuff that I have not had in a while, my body gets upset also. I used to have acid reflux sooo bad, but I don't anymore...but the other day I ate some regular potato chips and I swear I was up all night w/hearburn!! Good Job though on the portion control w/the ice cream and cake!! I still have a hard time w/that, and honestly if it was me, I would have had a huge piece of cake and a lot of ice cream!!--I still have a loooooooong way to go before I am disciplined .

Shugga-You are doing really, really great on the whole meal plan. I see what you have been eating daily and it looks like you really have your calories under control. GOOD JOB!! I usually don't take the phen Fri, Sat, or Sun b/c I need a break from it b/c of the whole constipation thing.

Shannon-Where are you??? We miss you!!!!!!

Wow, I am very proud of everybody. You guys are doing great with keeping up w/excecise and eating habits. I am very disappointed with myself b/c I have been abusing the chinese buffets and also just ignoring the fact that I need to excercise. Therefore, I cannot be upset with anybody but myself, b/c lately, the pounds have been VERY SLOWLY coming off. But I am very proud of you guys, KEEP IT UP!!

Thanks for the concern everyone! Sorry that I have been MIA the last couple of days. I have been up to my ears in schoolwork and feeling extremely overwhelmed and stressed. I have soooooooo much to get done this week. On top of that my daughter has been sick, there are issues with the in-laws, I have a Phi Kappa PHi ceremony on Friday, and I have to take the GACE(teacher accrediation/certificaton test) on Saturday). I went to bed Saturday night at 2 am, Sunday Night at 3am, 2am Monday night and about 12 last night. Except for Sunday, I have had to get up every morining at 5:30. I just don't know how I am going to accomplish all that I have to. Oh, and because of my OCD/anal retentiveness/ perfectionist mentality, I can't do just a decent job on any of it. I have to give each tiny detail my all. AAARRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know that God never puts more on us than we can handle but I am wondering if He is using me as a guinea pig to see exactly how much is too much, lol.
The good news is that I am still determined-through all of this stress- to continue eating healthy. Exercise has been at a stand still because I just can't seem to fit it in. It seems like if I can manage to not pig out, I could manage a little stress right?????? Maybe I feel so stressed because I can't pig out now when things get a little tough! Who knows?????????

Sorry to gripe and complain during my novel entry, lol. I am glad that everyone is doing good. I will post commnents to everyone else's posts next time. I have to run pick up my daughter from chorus. Take care and hang in there.......even through stressful days (or weeks) we can still accomplish our dreams!!!!

Hi ladies my name is Valerie, i would like to join you in your. I am 5'1'' on a good day and I started on phen on 2/07/07 and weighed 229lbs and now I am 218. I have not started working out yet. I am an LPN going to school for my RN. I have 5months til I finish. I have 3 children and is happily married. I really don't have a specific weight that I am trying to get to I just want to look good and feel better. I do get the dry mlouth and more energy than normal. I too have been on several diet and have taken millions of pills and nothing seem to help me. I was no phen before (the capsuls) but they didn't work and I don't know why. I stopped taking them for over a year. I started going to the YMCA and working out but the scale kept going up and I don't know how that would make you all feel but it was very discuraging for me, so I stopped going. Then I went to the doctor and told her that I needed some help and she gave me phen (the tablets) and sp far they seem to work. I hope they continue to . I know that I need to start to working out so that I could loose more and tone up at the same time. Well now that i have given you all my story I am going to take a ahower and hopefully return. Congradulations to everyone for their weight loss and keep up the good work.
229 (1/24/07)
227 (2/07/070 -2
220 (2/23/07) -7
218 (3/03/07) -2
215 (3/24/07) -3 thank God
205 (3/30/07) -10 I cant't believe it, but thank God.

Hi Valerie!!!! And Welcome to our board! Congratulation on your weight loss!!!! WOOOHOOO!!!!My husband is taking phen too and he has "dry mouth" also but it doesn't affect me like that. He usually keeps a bottle of water with him or a piece of sugar free gum and that seems to help. What part of SC are you in? Where are you getting your RN at? If you had rather not say, I understand. I was just wondering if we were close or even at the same college.

Sorry to vent my frustrations earlier but I really think it may have helped. I actually feel a bit better this afternoon-not as stressed. And, it didn't take twinkies and dingdongs--Yay me!!!!!
I made time to exercise this afternoon. In fact, I really killed two birds with one stone so to speak. My daughter struggles with spelling. Well her list this week is 14 states and their capitals. I took one look at it and thought, " oh no" Well, I told her to come walk with me and we chanted and cheered the spelling of states and capitals while walking 2 miles. She could spell them all when we were done. WhoooHooo!

Now on to Catching up on everyone's posts:

Kris- I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble conceiving. My husband and I have been trying for a few years now to have another baby but so far-nothing. I am fortunate enough to be blessed with one though so I know that I can't fully understand how you must feel. One of my best friends from high school had the same polycystic problem that you have and she really went through a tough time. I will be praying for you and your husband.

Billie Jo- I am so excited about the rennovations you are doing on your house. I love doing stuff like that but I refuse to put a whole lot into our mobile home because I don't plan on living here but a couple more years. We are planning on building a house a year or so after I graduate (and get a job, of course!) We have lived here since 95 also and although it was brand new when we got it, it is starting to need this and that fixed. Your post- the one mentioning birthday cake and icecream- made me think of my upcoming birthday. I am sooooooo not looking forward to it. I will be 30 and I never really thought it would bother me or nag at me the way that it is. LOL, it's probably all of those years of picking on my mom about the same thing coming back to bite me in the bottom!!! Good job on not overdoing it w/ the sweets though. I know how tough that can be.

Shugga, I am glad that being without the phen today didn't prove to be a challenge. You go girl!!!!!! That means that YOU were in control! Hooray for you!!

Daqui- I hope your week is going well. Good luck trying to stay off the scales. Lol, with me it is slowly becoming an obsession. I still don't own any though so it's easier to resist.

Today's Meal:
B-banana and Slimfast
snk-apple wedges
Lunch- grilled chicken sandwich and side salad
snk- 100 calorie pack oreos and some rice cakes (probably should have left those off but at least it wasn't a snickers!)
Supper- grilled beef briskit and small salad
only drank 40 ounces of water. Hopefully I will do better with this tomorrow.

I'm Back! LOL! I bet you ladies didn't miss the novel entries!!!!!!

Have a great night.....we're another day closer to our goal!
Shannon

Hi Ladies!
Valerie- Welcome to our group! It is always nice to get a new "buddy"! Great job on the weight loss! This can be so tough but the load(so to speak)just seems to be a little lighter when you have someone to help you carry it. I hope we can be as much help to you as these other ladies have been to me!

Shannon- So glad to have you back. I am so sorry that you have so much stress on you right now, but I am so proud of you for not turning to food to help ease your stress! One of my favorite sayings...Let go and let God! The walk with your daughter is so inspiring to me. I love that you turned it into a positive way to do homework and spend quality time with your daughter AND get exercise to boot! WOW! My husband and I wanted to build our own house too, but with him being the only breadwinner and us having 4 kids it seems to be an impossible dream right now. It really has become quite tough for us, a 6 person family living in a 2 bedroom mobile home. We make due, but space is limited. Because of the fact that it is just a lot less expensive we plan on just building on to our mobile home and adding 2 more bedrooms in a couple more years. My oldest sis did the same thing about 15 years ago and her house is beautiful! She took a 2 bedroom mobile home with one bathroom and turned it into a HUGE home with 5 bedrooms 2 1/2 baths, living room, den, dining room, kitchen and game room with a 2 car garage attached! And if someone didn't tell you ,you would never know that it started out as a homley looking single wide! it took her about 8 years to complete it but she just added on a little at a time til it was acomplished.

Shugga- Way to go! I knew you could do it! Girl, you just go ahead and take control of your food and don't let it take control of you! We can do this!!!!

Kris- When i finish my kitchen I am gonna post some pics of my renovations.I should have taken some befores of the rooms befor I started, but oh well, ya know what they say about hindsight!LOL. And I know what you mean about those Chinese buffets! I have to steer clear of those! Maybe you could google some chinese recipes and and find some low fat/low cal. alternatives so you don't have to feel guilty about what you are eating. But I have faith in you and I know you can do it!

Okay ya'll, on a very serious note, my 7 yr. old son was born with a heart defect called a bicuspid aortic valve. Right now it is nothing really serious but he has to go see a pediatric cardiologist once a year to get a check up to make sure everything is still ok. He is a very active boy and you really couldn't tell there was a problem with his heart but there is a chance that it could cause him problems when he has growth spurts or if he gets any kind of infection and stuff like that. Anyway, his appointment with the cardiologist is tomorrow in Knoxville Tn(which is about a 1 1/2 - 2 hour drive for us)and I just want you all to be praying we will get a good report from the doctor and that we have a safe trip. I will post tomorrow night and let everyone know how it went.

By the way Shannon, I love your novels, keep em coming!

Here goes...Breakfast-2 low fat/low cal. cranberry apple muffins
1 cup skim milk
1 16.9 oz bottle of water

I just read your post and trust, I understand. I have never been skinny but always had meat on my bones, "thick", but after my last baby, 4months, I am 240lbs, the biggest I ever been, I have started a low carb with phen 37.5, havent started exercising yet, but will, next week. I trying to get to 160, I continue to come to this site for support, because my patience is thin, I like everything fast, but Im hanging in there. I want to be one of those who can say, Im finally at my goal weight, so all this to say I got your back, and good luck.

Well hello everyone and thak you for welcoming me. Today hav been an alright day so far. I have not had any temptations. I need to try to fit in some exercise. My days are so long and full that I hardly have time to use the bathroom, mush less exercise. I live in Florence County and I attend FDTC for my Rn degree. It has taken me over three weeks to loose 11 pounds. As I said before, I ws phen a few years ago and didn't loose anything, I hope I am not going through that again. It is hard for me to drink a lot of water because of my job and school. I usually don't eat but one meal a day and that too is because of the time issue. Anyway I guess I will figure it out.

As for the calorie counting, have any of you tried fitday.com it lets you put in what you ate and your activities and it will calculate your calories for you. I used to use it but now that I am hardly at my computer I don't anymore, but
