Hey everyone- hopefully this thread takes off!! I know for me I like to hear about success stories of other ladies in my height range because for us tall beauties, weight gain/loss can be very different. For me personally, I can gain/lose 10 lbs in the bat of an eye and no one would ever really notice because it gets distributed alllll over the place. I am a size 10 (I have clothes in 8's, 10's and 12's but mainly 10s) and whether I've been close to 180 or as low as 158 I've been a size 10 lol.

My goal right now is to weigh 150. In high school I was in the 140's but heck, I'll take 150 now I weighed in at 168 this weekend (the day before I started taking Phen). I plan on weighing myself weekly so I don't make myself too crazy but last night at the gym I couldn't resist and I weighed in at 166. I'm not sure if that was premature so we'll see what happens at my Sunday weigh-in to see for sure if I did lose some weight.

So if you are tall please say hello and post your stories so we can all share in each other's successes, setbacks or whatever!

Hey there, I'm Kristen (a newbie here too) and I'm just a tad over 6' tall. I know what you mean about no one ever noticing gains/losses...however, I feel rather blessed that I'm tall, or else I'd be REALLLLY overweight. Everyone always says "you dont LOOK like you weigh XXX". Well, thank you - but I FEEL it.

My lowest after having baby #1 was 169. Almost too thin for me and my body structure. I was happiest really around 180. I was 218 as of my last WI (I'm in a size 16 comfortably). Was in 12's at my lowest.

Anyhow, that's about it for me. Hope phen works for us! My next WI is Thursday.

5'11 here, but I have way more weight to lose, oh well. I'm 340 and I would like to be around 160. Good luck to me and good luck to you too!

Good luck Eli! When did you start the phen by the way?

Uh, by the way- I went to the gym tonight and again broke my promise to myself and stepped on the scale. It said 164.5 (!) Ok so I'm basically thinking that this has to be some sort of fluke! I'm going to REALLY keep drinking water just to make sure this isn't phantom weight loss and just due to being dehydrated or something. But dang, if it isn't then I might just about faint from joy... Could I really lose weight that quickly?? Ah, I'm not going to jinx it and update my signature yet

hello, fellow tall gals!!
i'm 5'9, and one who always received the prize at the fair from the guy who guesses folks weight. i hide it well. i am now currently 237, I officially started 8/13 @249.
i gave birth to my last and final child in march '06...which makes her 5mos now. i'm newly 30, and want to be smaller than i was when i hooked my husband 7yrs ago(180lbs) i was a perfect size 14, and some 12s.
my goal is to get to a size 8, so i figured maybe about 160ish? i have pcos, which means weight loss is harder but i'm trying...
oh yeah...i also have 2yo twins & a 5yo...so getting out to the gym is impossible! but i do lots of tapes EVERYDAY except sunday.
oh yeah, i hate water but just got hip to crystal lite! my husband thinks my loss is slow because i don't drink enough water...so now i'm guzzlin down 128oz of crystal light in hopes to see a bigger difference.

HI,

I'm 5'10 184lbs (started 08/31/06 @ 193lb.) my goal weight is 135lbs. 2 kids 16yr old son, 14yr old daughter. Had a tummy tuck 6/06, so now my stomach is flat, but my hips, butt and legs need major help....lol

Hi all!! This was SUCH a great idea for a forum!! I really enjoy going through everyone's weight stats but i never know if they are compirable or not because I am 6'0 tall.I have the same problem as you tall girl...my wieght fluctuates 10lbs and no one really notices...sometimes not even myself..that's why when I got on the scale in July and wieghed 250 I was shocked!! My Dr. prescribed me phentermine and I just started taking a little overa week ago. When I started taking it my weight was 242 and as of yesterday I was 131. I am really excited so far but I feel like it's mostly water weight and I know the weight loss will slow any day now. I am 21 and have always had a problem with my weight. In addition to being tall I also have a very large bone structure, so im just one of those big girls in general, haha. The only time it really bothers me is when I am shopping. I want so badly to wear something for a boutique for example but being a 16/18 the only thing i might find in a store like that would be shoes, haha. The least I have ever weighed was 190 and i worked really hard to get there when i was in high school.(and it still wasnt that little...i was a size 12) Anyways..im here now with a goal of EVENTUALLY getting down to 165 or 170. Because I have never been that little I don't know what weight would look good on me or what size I would wear. good luck to all!!! cant wait to get to know you all more!

It's great to hear from other tall girls! I agree with 7jeans- it's hard to relate to other people's weight loss when they are 4 to 10 inches shorter than you on average! Wow Breeze- 135 lbs goal! That's great! Haha, I would be happy with just getting into the 150's these days. I was an athelete in high school and the lowest I ever weighed was 143 as I recall. Good luck!!!

I swear I should buy stock in Crystal Light- haha it's the best! I use the "on the go" packages all the time, it makes it SO much easier to guzzle water all day long. When I can't find Crystal Light I use Lipton Iced Tea To Go which is basically the same thing with only 10 calories per drink made.

On another note- has anyone experienced side effects? The only thing that is really plaguing me is neck soreness. The right side of my neck feels so tight that its really uncomfortable when I lay down in bed at night. I only take one does of 37.5 mg in the morning (before 9am) and it seems to get me going all day, taper off around 7pm and then suddenly revvs up again around 10pm! That and the neck pain makes it impossible to get to sleep at night. I think I might try some Tylenol PM. I used Advil and a heat pack last night but it didn't help much. Eh, but it's still not bad enough to make me want to stop taking the pill so I guess that's good!

Would be nice to keep up with eachother! I have my next weekly WI tomorrow (I've stayed off the scale ALL week!!!) I hope to report a loss tomorrow. Keep me in your thoughts! LOL

Janiz - I have pcos too - took us nearly 2 years to conceive our ds#1...and 4 months to get ds#2! I luckily dont have any of the bad pcos 'traits' like some - I just fight my weight and have bouts with acne here and there.

I havent put a signature in - will do that soon!

I am 5'10" and right now at 192 or so. I am lucky in that I can gain weight also with not many people noticing. Also, I wear scrubs at work, and they hide A LOT!! So I want to get back to around 156. That is ideal for me. I have clothes in 8, 10, and 12. Sometimes I buy 2 of something since I fluctuate so much. My biggest problem is my stomach. It is so puchy!!
I am going to get back into pilates. I need a tummy tuck but maybe in another life

Hello Everyone,

I am 5"9 and just started one week ago I just weighed my self on tues and was 167lbs and i am hoping to get to 150lbs. It's funny cause I have always been told that I don't weigh as much as I do. Yeah right I see the scale they don't. I just had my last baby the 3rd child and I am looking to finally get back to close to what I was before. I was about 148lbs before pg. And I would LOVE to get to 150lbs. Oh how nice that would be. I need to get a healthy eating plan. Anyone doing great with Phen and a eating plan tha you would like to share with me? Not sure if you'd call it an 'eating plan' but I'm also drinking slim fast at least for one meal a day. I'm a stay at home mom, so when I'm here all day, I generally have 2 slim fasts and a normal dinner - oh and I'll have a couple of healthy snacks throughout the day. I have a great recipe for chocolate bran muffins...so I usually have 2 of those a day! LOL

I weighed this morning and I've lost 7 lbs in the 2 weeks I've been on phen. 10 since starting slim fast. I'm pretty happy.

hey my fellow tall chica's! I totally feel what everyone is saying about how we all get the "What?!?! you don't look like you weigh...!" Thanx but no thanx. I've been on phen for a week and a day. My weigh in is tomorrow. Im trying hard not to jump on the scale to often but it's kinda hard. so far i've lost 7 pounds and i soooooooooo dont see it. I'm 5'9 so that 7 pounds could have been 1/2 inch off my dd's!! I'm starting my workouts slowly because in all honesty i'm so damn lazy. i'm a stay at home mom so it's kinda hard to get up off the sofa. I've started doing yoga in the morning and until im ready to hit the gym I just run up and down the stairs in my house for about 15 min 3 times a day. hope thats good enough cause thats all im motivated for right now. I'm hoping once i see a little bit of loss i'll get out of this funk and really get moving. GOOD LUCK TO YOU LADIES!!

kbbeale - Congrats on the weight loss! That's great! Always good to hear news like that.

My official first week weigh in will be on Sunday and I'm pretty nervous about it. I have a friend's bachelorette party to go to on Saturday night so I'm going to really have to force myself not to load up on empty calories from drinks and what not. I want to have fun but having fun is not worth sabotaging my efforts right now. I think I'll pick up some sugar free red bulls to tote around with me

Lastly, my side effects are slightly better. My neck doesn't hurt as much but I also didn't FINALLY get to sleep until 3am last night. I swear its like I get this bizarre second wind of energy every night around 10-11pm! Well, it's only been 5 days now so hopefully it will go away soon. Ugh, I'm also (*embarassed*) constipated. I haven't gone since Sunday now I guess and I'm a bit worried. I might go buy a laxative just to make sure everything still works down there. I've been eating A LOT less so I think that has to do with it too but still, I don't want to end up in the hospital. I actually have to force myself to eat or else I could probably go all day and night without anything to eat.
Anyone else experiencing this
