Good morning! It's going to take a while to get used to coming here instead of the challenge board!

I weighed in at 163 this morning. I can't seem to get motivated since I left for my reunion. I don't know what my problem is. I have no energy, no willpower, and no desire to exercise.

On the other hand, I had a pretty good weekend with Charlie. Seeing some progress. But it is very slow-going.

Hope you all find your way here!

Hey Jennie--thanks for the PM--it helped me find my way here. There will be lots of nights I may not post, but I'll try to be here at least once a week and probably more.

Have you PM'd Rhonda, or any of the others?

Well--I thought for sure my weight would be at 139 today, but no, it is 141. I did see 139 on Thurs. and Sat. but I guess, i blew it after that.

I'm so glad things sort of looked like they were better with C. over the weekend.

As far as being stalled on your weight loss, what are you doing as far as your diet goes?

Well--gotta go finish cleaning the kitchen. We were laaaaaate tonight as far as our meal.

My eating IS the problem. I had been doing so good with eating around 1200 to 1400 cals a day before the reunion, and exercising everyday, but I can't seem to find my groove since then.

Fam pics tomorrow night! I need to figure out what we all are going to wear. What I want to wear, the boys don't have anything to match. Charlie is going be in the pics, but I don't have to worry about him. He prob has 2x as many clothes as me. It's kind of sickening!

I got Rhonda p.m.ed. I am going to p.m. Beth & Holly, also. I haven't seen any posts from Holly is quite a while, though. Hopefully she is still somewhere around here!

I weighed 163 this morning, which is up a pound even from last week, and 3 from the day I left for the reunion. I would be thrilled with 141. I'd be even happy with 150! I have to find some real motivation somewhere!

checking in real quick before nighty night. I'm soooooooo glad to hear that C is going to be in the pics too! That is a good sign as well.

Have you tried fitday? It helps me with journaling and seeing the calories and the graph and all that.

OK--off to bed I go.

We had the pics taken last night. I think they are going to be really nice. We saw the proofs on computer, of course, but it's never the same as seeing the real thing.

I had been using fitday for a few months, but I was doing really well with knowing how many cals were in the usual things I eat, so I got out of the hang of it. I need to start doing it again.

Hey girl. Wonder if Rhonda is going to join us? Glad the pics went well. I'm really tired, but just wanted to say hi. go back to fitday--it can be a real motivation. Also, WW's site has a good forum and all sorts of stuff that might help.

see ya later.

I checked my profile, and Rhonda hasn't even read the p.m., unless she read it in an email notification. I sent her another, and sent one to Beth, also. I will have to go back and find the last post from Holly to check on her, it's been awhile.

I'll start using fitday again. It's just I haven't been spending a whole lot of time on the cp lately. This week I've been trying to get things cleaned up (I am NOT a domestic person) for my youngest son't birthday party this Sunday, but it seems there have been a hundred other things that have to be done, also. Hopefully things calm done a bit after the party, but I doubt it! Something else will just come up!

How have you been feeling, and how's your class? What grade do you teach? This year I have a 6th, 4th & kindergartener.

Talk to you later!

Hi girls...mind if I crash your buddy thread? I know you all don't know me, accept Tryin, but I was bored tonight, and sleepless, and started reading the School's out challenge posts and it lead me over here.

Jennie: You've inspired me to make a "promises" document. I've been thinking that I need to memorize more scripture, and that's a good way to make a list of verses to memorize.

Tryin:

You all seem like a sweet group, and to be quite honest, big groups intimidate me a little. I don't know how often I can post, but it'll do me good to have a group to check in with every once in awhile, without the pressures of a full blown challenge.

Last time I weighed I was at 237, but hopefully that will have gone down some, since I've been running around like a crazy chicken ever since school started back.

Most of you are teachers? I'm in school as an ECE major. I can't wait to get there myself.

Well, gotta get to bed. Thanks for letting me crash the party.

Chris.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil 4:13

If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved - Romans 10:9

Rhonda, glad to hear from you too--I think we are all having a bit of a gain right now!!!

Jennie--ooooh, I know about things just piling up. Its like I get one thing done and three more appeared--on top of what I still needed to get done.

Hope your baby has a good b'day. Its about friends, don't stress about the house.

See Ya Later,

Rhonda!!!! I'm so glad you came to join us! I was getting worried! Don't feel bad about not doing very good. My cals have been anywhere from 1400 - 1900. Which 1700-1800 will prob be maintanence for me, but I still want to lose. Today I think I finished off around 1200, so I'm happy! How have you been doing, otherwise?

Christiona, I have to ask! Is your name really Chris, or should I call you Sweetie Pooh, also??? Didn't you join the school's out challenge originally. Your name sounds so familiar, along with your avatar? I'm glad you have come to join us! I'm hoping we stay a small group. I joined the inches challenge, and didn't stay too long. There are way tooooooo many people there. I have a licensed family child care in my home, so you can say I teach, just not in a school! I read my "promises from God" whenever I'm feeling on the down side. It's a good pick-me-upper! I memorize some, but not all. Our church has a weekly memory verse, also, so I try to keep up with those. One of the best things I've ever done in life is to learn the passage from Phil 4. (1-13). Our church had a challenge about 1.5 years ago. There were around 5 of us who completed it, out of around 15 that started.

Tryin, I just want the house to be on the clean side. It's usually such a mess. I'm might do child care at home so that I can be home full-time, but domestic is the last thing I am. I hate cleaning! And since this is his kindergarten year, there will be quite a few parents I have never met, that will be here for the first time. I did mop today, though, so I at least got in an hour of exercise!!!!!! That's one good way of looking at it!

I think Charlie has taken a small step back. We spent almost the whole weekend together as a family last weekend, except for him leaving at night. Then pics on Tues nite. But by Tues nite, he seemed so distant, and tonite he came over, and he still seemed distant. I wish he would start talking to me about how he is feeling about the way things are moving with us. I think we are moving forward, but I've thought that before and been wrong. It just seems that whenever he tries to move forward, he gets scared and steps back. Tryin, reminding me of Heb. 11:1 has helped me so much in the last week! It has gotten me through quite a few nights! Keep praying for us. He can't ignore God's calling him (or should I say yelling at him!) forever!

Good night, my friends! God bless you all!
Jennie

Hey friends, where are you? I just got home, but no one has posted in a couple of days, so I thought I'd try to stir you guys up.

Man, the lines for gas are long! I think people think it will prob. go up after the hurricane.

I'm praying that this hurricane will cause people to cry out to the Lord and be saved. Of course mainly, I'm praying that it just won't be as disasterous as they predict.

Jennie--since "Sweetie Pooh" hasn't been back yet, I'll tell you, yes, she goes by Chris. I just have some crazy moments sometimes.

I remember when mine were little and I'd have parties--I felt the same way. Now that I'm older though, it just doesn't seem to worry me as much.

I'm praying for you and hubby--that his expectations or his fears or whatever will be clear to him in light of what they are, and he will be able to face these and come back home!

My back is HURTING!!! I'm sort of hoping we could be out of school due to flooding tomorrow--not to the extent that it would cause damage, but just enough that they don't want parents to have to drive in it getting the kids to school. I know--I'm as bad as the kids when it comes to getting an unexpected day off!

I'm back. I was on my other buddy group earlier, but since no one had posted here, I didn't! I start to feel like I'm talking to myself when I see my name back-to-back!!! I talk to myself anyway, so I don't know why I didn't post!

I've been busy cleaning up today. The one things I like about kids getting money for a present is there is only an envelope to throw away. It seems toys have so many plastic & cardboard pieces to throw away, not to mention all the wirey twisty thingamajigs you have to undo! He did get some very nice things, though. He had a good time, so that's all that matters.

I weighed in at 161 this morning! Yay!!! Down 2 lbs from last Monday. Hopefully next week it will ready 159!!! That's when I'll get really excited. First thing tomorrow, I'm throwing away all the leftover white cake! I won't eat the choc cake, so it can stay. But white cake with choc frosting is my weakness! Makes my mouth water just to think about it!

Thank you for your prayers. That's pretty much sums it up. The hardest part of him being gone, is that I hate have to do the parenting thing alone. My patience is pretty much shot all the time, now, and it's not fair to them that they have to deal not only with Charlie being gone, but me being witchy a lot of the time. Even when he is with us, he pretty much defers all parenting to me. It takes quite a bit before he will say something to me. It is very frustrating.

Wasn't the epidurals supposed to help with the pain? Or are you still doing too much? What happens next?

I love snow days! I love them even more when they are called the night before! This year I have kids everyday, though, so I wouldn't be able to sleep in that much longer anyway, though.

Rhonda, we had leftover burgers, so yours couldn't have been much worse!

You know, Tryin, my sis told me that when the tsunami hit, it was the last day of a week long ritual of sorts that had been taking place over there that definately was NOT Christian. It was something that was taking place right along the water. God is in control!!!

I was just talking with some of the other parents at my boys' football practice about gas prices prob going up with Katrina. We are on the edge of possible rain and storms for tomorrow, I guess. I haven't watched tv in so long, other than a movie here and there, that I don't pay attention. Sometimes I check on the net, but I usually forget.

Have a good night.
Jennie
