Okay, I've been trying to figure out yesterday how to post this without my phen pal knowing who I am but I guess it doesn't matter because she will know when she gets my gift When I went to the post office to mail they said i had to have a return address, well thats understandable so i tried to do what some did on here, i was going to put her address as the return. NOPE cant do that either. They said it had to be full name and address I know someone else posted this awhile ago but i was too mad to go look for it. Has anyone else been having this problem?? How are all of you doing it??? I'm irritated right and i just wanted to say when you get your packages everyone please ignore the return address everyone just in case one of yours is from me!!!! cover your eyes and let someone else open it for you or blindfold yourself whichever works best! Im totally bummin right now over this.

I would imagine that ALOT of the problem is this Anthrax thing so ya cant really blame them......I would have asked what the postage costs and bought that amount of stamps and mailed it myself in a blue box. I mailed mine without a return address and my post office never even noticed! But if they would have stopped me i would have mailed it myself!

well I had to put my address on it also-but I didnt put the name-oh well-it is still fun-I had alot of fun shopping! Lets just make the best of it and have a good time doing it-it was so neat to get my package in the mail also-really lifted my spirits! Cindy

Well.......Oh im not mad at the post office. I would be worried to and think this is what needs to be done, I just think its a bummer But your right. At least i mailed it and someone will get a surprise!!!! I just thought well ya know maybe we can just pretend there is nothing up in that left hand corner???

Put a bogus name and address of someone else you know possibly. I did mine before I got to the post office and didnt have any problems.

I put only my return address on it and the one I received only had the address, not our names. I changed my profile and took out the from so I wouldn't give away the surprise.

LOL Nitra okay i'm a little slow. I will remeber that for next time. I just couldn't think fast enough and if i would have tried to do it right there my face,ears and neck probably would have turned red from her watching me fill it out and knowing i was being naughty

The post office where I live is closed! One of the postal employees started with flu like symptoms and had sores on her hands - so the FBI and CDC came in. She is supposed to go get tested tomorrow at a state hospital and is being federally escorted!! I really doubt (I hope not) that she has Anthrax - unless there were "traces" on some mail from other parts of the country. But - we were going nuts today at work (I work at a police department) with EVERYBODY calling. We had to make up a recording to put on the answering machine at Town Hall we were so overwhelmed.

Also - we are so paranoid opening mail at work. Elderly people keep bringing their mail up for the police to open because they are scared - they say the letters are suspicious!

Soooo.... I suppose the post offices are trying to be cautious. I sure post offices are getting scares all over the country just like here.

Hey That was me that posted the first info about the mailing address. I have several friends that work up there and after I had already put my info because they said you had too , he told me I could have put a friends address. I think even if you mailed it yourself w/out taking it to the post office there would be problems w/ out a return address they said red flags are going up everywhere and that would be a big RED flag for them. But anyway I still think it is working out because no one really knows your town really. Lets all just have fun!!!
