Hello All,
I used to take FASTIN years ago for weight control and with reg exercise it worked great.
Last week I asked my Doctor for a script and he said it's no longer made.... Has Phentermine takin it's place?
Fasitin (being a timed released)used to give me bursts of energy throughout the day and was wondering if Phentermine might also.
Thanks in Advance for all who reply.
Happy Holidays to ALL

Its like any drug your doc orders for u. There is a generic brand for every drug that is out there.

Phen is the generic brand of fastin some say it works the same for them some say fastin works better. Of course the drug store says they are both made of the same thing. I guess its comparing a cheaper brand of toilet paper to charmin. Yes they are both the same(toilet paper) but do they have the same effect?.lol

I like to wash my clothes in Gain but found a cheaper brand made of the same stuff and they compared this particular one to Gain. $3 Cheaper. I used it and my clothes wasnt as bright and I itched like hell.lmao.

Guess what it boils down to is what your willing to pay and with most things u get what u pay for.

I used Phen i'm off now but I was taking 37.5mg and it did everything but suppress my appetite. I was happy with it

Hopefully it works well for u. But with anything u have to work with it. Good Luck to u and I wish u much success on your weightloss. Drink yo water and take care.

I have not found ANYTHING that compares to THE REAL FASTIN. Fastin made me feel really good with tons of energy. I never thought about food, was never tired or depressed. It was an awesome feeling, and I want it back!

I’m taking the Blue/Clear 30mg (generic Fastin – so they say) Phentermine Capsules Manufactured by Eon Labs. They don’t give you that happy feeling with tons of energy that the REAL Fastin does. They do suppress the appetite pretty well though. I’ve gone from 222 lbs to 206 lbs in 25 days. That’s a little over a half a pound loss per day, so I’m happy with that. I just would really love to have the energy and good feeling I got with Fastin.

Fastin® was the brand name of Phentermine produced by King Pharmaceuticals for SmithKline Beecham. In December 1998, SK-Beecham withdrew Fastin® from the market. Fastin® is no longer produced and sold.

Fastin & Phentermine first received approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1959 as an appetite suppressant for the short-term treatment of obesity. Phentermine resin became available in the United States in 1959 and Phentermine Hydrochloride in the early 1970s.In the US, Phentermine is currently sold under brand names. It is also available as a generic medication, known as 'phentermine'. Previously, it was sold under a different name. As Phentermine is an older drug, no new efficacy trials have been conducted. The one notable exception, are several trials on the combination of Phentermine and Fenfluramine in the early and mid 1990s.

Fastine-Phentermine was the Phen in the controversial Fen-Phen diet that was found to cause heart valve problems in some patients in 1997. As a result of this the "Fen" otherwise know as Fenfluorimine was made illegal by the US FDA. Phentermine was not determined to be a source of the problem.

Oral Phentermine Hydrochloride (HCL) is sold for weight loss. It is in the Sympathomimetic family of appetite suppressants (used for the short-term management of exogenous obesity.) When used in conjunction with diet, exercise, and behavior therapy, Phentermine may help you to lose weight while you are learning new ways to eat and to exercise.

Three forms of Phentermine are available: [*]Tablets[*]Capsules[*]Resin capsules – ( Ionamin 30 mg, Manufactured by Medeva Pharmaceuticals, Ionamin® Capsules deliver Phentermine via a special delivery system called resin matrix. No other phentermine product has this resin matrix and no available generic drugs can be substituted for Ionamin® Capsules.

In the US, Phentermine is currently sold under the brand names Ionamin® (Medeva Pharmaceuticals) and Adipex-P® (Gate Pharmaceuticals). It is also available as a generic medication, known as 'phentermine'.

Phentermine (phentermine hydrochloride)Phentermine is a sympathomimetic amine, which is similar to an amphetamine. Phentermine stimulates the central nervous system (nerves and brain), which increases your heart rate and blood pressure and decreases your appetite. Phentermine comes in 15 mg and 30 mg capsules produced by Eon Laboratories and 37.5 mg tablets produced by Purepac. Being generic, phentermine is typically less expensive than its commercially available name brands Ionamin and Adipex-P, but there are also slight differences. Phentermine is also known by Fastin, Obenix, Obephen, Obermine, Obestin, Pro-Fast, Phentamine, Phentride, T-Diet, and Zantryl.

GOOD LUCK
