First off welcome! Yes, if you want this to be a lifelong thing and something that truly works, you must add exercise to your lifestyle and not so much "dieting" but being aware of what you are eating. If you go to fitday dot com and sign up(its free) you can enter everything you eat in a day and see how many calories you are consuming, how much exercise you are doing, and this will help you see why you are where you are. Also, drink tons and tons of water...you will see a difference in your clothes right away. If you aren't real big into exercises or feel like you can't do it quite yet, try walking a mile to start out with. Do anything to get your heart rate up and that body working.
You can do this! Keep coming here for support, drink water, eat healthy, exercise and keep your spirits up!

Almost forgot, caffeine seems to affect everyone different. I felt I didn't need it with my Phen..you might be okay, but it might cause your heart to race while taking Phen. You should probably consult your doc if you are concerned.
