Hi everyone. I just started on Phentermine, 15 mg last Saturday and I am looking for a pal to chat.

I am a female, 5'2, my weight is 252 and my weight goal is 120.

I have a long way to go and it would be nice to have a friend to walk the miles with me...

Hope to hear from someone soon.

Thanks......

Hi Sheyla:
I just happend to look at this section of the forum and saw your recent post.

I guess most of the people just stick with the "My Experience with Phentermine" forum.

I will chat with you! I need company too.
I am 6' tall and weighed as of July 9th...266. I would like to get down to 180.
I just started retaking Phentermine 30mg 7/9/01.

Hope to hear from you soon

Sheyla,

I would be glad to keep in touch and support each other.

I have been doing Weight Watchers and started taking phen 10 days ago. I am 5'10". I have lost 51.8 pounds, currently weigh 297 and should weigh 150.

Let me know how I can help you. I usually weigh in at WW on Saturdays.

Hi Sarah and Maggie,

Its nice to meet you...Thanks for replying. I want to lose weight not only because i want to feel better but also because I want to have a baby. I have lost two pregnancies, my last one was about 5 years ago. I went through a very though time (I was 6 months along) and now I am just starting to lose the fear. My doctos tells me that I am too heavy and that I should lose the weight first. This past week I have been doing okay I think. I lost 5 pounds and I have been going to the gym everyday.
The past two days I have been feeling my heartbeat really strong. Yesterday I had to get up after I was in bed and go check my blood pressure. I felt like my heart was going to pump out of mi skin. Is this normal? Its really scaring me.
Good luck on your diet. Let me know how its going...

Sheyla

Hi Sheyla, Maggie and Sarah!
I too need friends to be accountable to that I am able to share the phen experience with. No one but me knows. I too am going to WW and weigh in on saturday mornings. I started June 30 and have lost 5.4lbs. I only started on the phen on the 12th.
I am 39, 5'4 currently 159.8 and looking to get to 125. Exercise is where I need the most help. I am so hit and miss. I was getting up regularly at 5:30 to walk for 40 minutes. I loved it and still do although lately I've just been ignoring that alarm. How dumb since starting my day this way really helps me to be more easy-going for the rest of the day.
Can we encourage one another in this area too? I really am enjoying this site. The experience board is addictive! Please email me anytime!
Happy Slimming!

Hi. Nice to meet you. Yes, exercizing IS the biggest problem for me. So now I'm going to the gym after work, on the way home. If I get home I'll never get to the gym. I love to do aerobics but my gym only has the advanced classes which I'm embarrased to attend (I don't know if I can handle it). I walk for 20 minutes every day. I think thats better than nothing, what do you think?
How can I find your email address?

Sheyla...

Good afternoon ladies!

This is great to know that we all want to support each other - especially with the excersize because that is my biggest downfall as well. My intention has been to walk early in the morning because that sounds like a great break for me since I have two little boys...but lately I am just so glad to sleep since I didn't during the first few nights on phen.

Audrey: How do you like the WW Points? I think it is the way to go but am finding the phen helpful with my cravings. I haven't told my friends about the phen either...I think they will think it's a cop out to take medication. But I am following the WW too. I don't think the phen alone will really do much in the long run.

Sheyla: I am very sad to learn of your two babies. My first born son died in our home when he was two months old (about five years ago). I attribute much of my weigh gain to the depression following and to eating through my next two children's first years...somehow eating made it easier to cope with the pain and fear of my subsequent children dying also. I am not trying to be weird here but I want you to know that someone else knows the loss - you are not alone. // How did your blood pressure turn out? I've taken the phen for about 11 days now and have just started feeling better in the past few. I am not an expert but I would keep tabs on my blood pressure if your heartbeat is rapid. Maybe someone who knows more will respond to you about this...or maybe you should contact your doctor if it continues. // Sheyla, I think it can be overwhelming to think we have so much to lose but it is possible. Let's take it one day at a time, okay?

Maggie: Your height is awesome! Do you have any excersize ideas for the rest of us? Are you following any sort of food plan?

Okay. I propose that we all start or maintain some sort of excersize...then we can all post that we were able to do SOMETHING successfully. It sounds like we all want to do this and know that it is important. I know we will all feel so much better. Getting started is the hard part so I will challenge us all start something by Thursday. Is that reasonable? I started out at 349 pounds (currently 297.2) so I think walking is the best for my huge body.

I look forward to losing weight with you all!

Have a great day, Sarah

Hi Sarah
Thanks for your kind words, I don't feel alone anymore. I did start eating so much after the babies died. I went into deep depression and I didn't care about myself anymore. I'm glad that is over now (even though it is something I have to work on everyday).

I did see the walking club and I think its great. I am going to join also. I walk everyday for 20 minutes.

This site is great!

Oops I forgot to tell you about my blood pressure. I do have high blood pressure but it was controlled and my doctor told me it would be fine if I kept checking it. It is usually 150/90. Do you think that is too high?

Sheyla,

I am totally not the person to ask about blood pressure. I only have mine checked by my doctor during my annual visits and she says it's good. I think I should have it checked more often while on the Phen since I am sooo overweight and both of my parents take blood pressure medication.

How long did your doctor prescribe the Phen?
My prescription is only for 28 days and it didn't sound like she would give me more than another 14 days. I am not sure that I am comfortable ordering over the internet so I am going to check into the two doctors listed on this site for my area.

Sorry I can't advise about your blood pressure. Maybe you should post in "My experience with phentermine" and get some information from some of the other users.

Take care, Sarah

Sarah,

My doctor prescribed me 15 mg for two weeks (which ends this Saturday) and then 30 mg for 2 weeks. Then he made me an appointment a month from the day I started. I hope he keeps me on it because it really works for me.

Hi!!!
It's so cool that all of us are rootin' fer each other! I also am glad you all have seen the exercise challenge. I just walk three blocks over and am in a Very Lovely neighborhood ($$$). Manicured lawns, old trees, reeking of understated elegance.
I already have my walking clothes out for the morning. I used to listen to Joyce Meyer tapes (a Christian teacher) but lately have just taken to enjoying the sounds of the morning. I have a home daycare, so I try to enjoy what little peace and quiet I get.
I am married (2nd time) and have 4 kiddos: Ian 18, Evan 11. they are from my 1st marriage. FaithElaine, 4 1/2 and Nolan 3 next month. Ian is already on his own and starts local community college next month. AAAAHHHHH! Where did the time go? Ron and I have been married 5 1/2 years. He just started his own property maintenance business. I'm originally from upstate NY, been in Colorado 13 years and LOVE IT!
I was thin until I hit about 25. I started to drink about then to ease the loneliness of my husband being gone. That put the weight on quickly. Once I got sober the weight stayed on. I lost 25lbs. On WW 2 years ago. 10 creeped back on last year. I will reach my goal of 125 this time and STAY THERE!!!
My email is: ***********************

Let's walk and talk daily. Well, weekends might be tough. Since my husband doesn't know I'm on phen, I don't want him to find out about this website either.

I'm excited about sharing this journey together!

Happy, Happy!
Audrey

Hi AudreyJean

Isn't it nice having so many people to help you get through the tough times? I can't talk on the weekends either because I am so busy. I am a volunteer at my church and I am in charge of all our kids programs and that keeps me prety busy. I usually go into the site at work on my breaks. My husband is the only one that knows that I am taking Phen. My parents would freak out if I told them. My husband is pretty supportive. He doesn't mind if I go to the gym after work (the time I used to cook for him). We both want a baby so bad and losing the weight is the only way I can do it. I am 34 already and time is going by fast. Gotta lose the pounds fast!!! It is much easier having friends to share it with.....

Sheyla,
I was told that the ideal blood pressure is
135/85....I was high normal for about a year due to stress, but now I am back to normal and I take Hydrochlorothiazide---the phen has raised it a couple points, but I do check it everyweek to be on the safe side.
