Hello, I'm new at this. I stated taking phen 4 days ago.(dr.prescribed)Have lost right at 12 pounds. I think it's all water weight, I go to the bathroom about 8-10 times a day. I don't have a problem sleeping. I just feel like my body is going 500 mph and I'm standing still. I'm shaking all the time. My fingers, feet and nose is cold all the time. I get hungry but I can't eat. After a few bites i'm full.My Dr. told me this was not a stimulent. That it was completely safe.I am currently on blood pressure medicine and I have a heart condition(had a MI in 2002)I asked my Dr. would this interact with my other meds. He said no. I am beginning to think the phen is too strong for me because an hour after i take it I feel like crap. I'm not irritable or any thing like that. I'm shaky and jittery and tired. The shaking and jitterness finally goes away about 10 o'clock at night. Can any one tell me if this will go away? When I take it again I'm only going to take 1/2 a pill and see what that does for/to me. right now it's a 37.5 pill. If anyone would share their comments, I would appreciate it.

hey there,im on my 7th day i finaly stopped feeling that way and seem to be more attached and grounded now. give it alittle more time if you can but it will get better. Also i found when i started eating orange slices though out the day as weird as it sounds,it realy had a calming effect almost like attacking that racing and shaky feeling and just shut it down. give it a try and let me know. good luck , Gary

Thanks for the info. I took 1/2 a pill this morning and the other half about 3:00 pm. still felt a little jittery but not as much. I will give the oranges a try. If they don't work on my shakiness at least I'll have my vitamin C. I'll let you know how it does.

phen is totally a stimulant...it's basically speed, prescribed by a doctor. it's safer than a street drug, but you should still be cautious. my doctor told me that people with heart conditions or blood pressure issues should be very carefully evaluated before taking this drug. if it were me, i would seriously consider getting a second opinion. hope this helps, good luck! :)

OMG!!!! phentermine is so a stimulant. One of the listed side effects is elevated b/p and heart beat. People with high b/p should not take this med. I got on FDA.GOV and read the indications and warnings. You might should do that. Good luck. I would definately question my doc on it as well.

If you are feeling uncomfortable taking phen, I would suggest you speak to your doctor. A lot of people take 1/2 a pill twice a day that may work better for you. Good luck.

I am also having circulation problems. My fingers and toes are cold all the time and turn white. Has anyone else had this? Any solutions?

OMG, I have had the worse case of cold fingertips and toes EVER! It drives me nuts. Sometimes my hands get so cold I could cry. I know it is the Phen although that side effect is not listed on any of the drug indications anywhere. Glad to see someone else experiencing the same thing, phew. thought I was going crazy.

Have you mentioned this to your doctor? I have but she doesn't seem to think it is caused from the meds????
