I just moved to Norris and am looking for a local doctor that prescribes Phentermine. I went to a doctor today and she wouldn't prescribe it and didn't have recommendations of who would.

Suggestions?

Thanks! It really surprises me that no one has recommendations (even local doctors) for regular family practice doctors who prescribe it. I've asked 2 and they all recommend the weight loss centers. Unfortunately they don't take insurance as far as I know. Did you pay out of pocket? Thanks!

Yes I pay out of pocket. My insurance, like most, does not cover it. If yours does, you could always pay out of pocket and submit the claim yourself, but it would be paid at the out-of-network rate. Good luck! It is difficult to find a PCP who will prescribe phen these days.

How much does the Weigh to go weight loss clinic cost? We have one here in Maryville.

I just found out I got generic from Walmart at $21.50 because my insurance covered it. I didn't know that phentermine was the generic for adipax at the time, now I do. Did nothing for me!

I asked about the real adipax and she told me it would cost me $74 and some change. WHAT?

I am wondering if the cost of the WLC is about the going rate for it at the pharmacies. Have you checked?
