Hey ash,
Im no Dr. but from what I have read online drinking lots of water prevents water retention! Go figure, right?
Basicly, if you dont drink enough water your body will store whats available causing bloating and "extra water weight". If you drink water and keep your self hydrated you body will dispose of it and flush out toxins, and keep your weight more accurate to what your really weigh.
(if Im wrong, please correct me! I dont offend easily :))

I'd have to say "what she said!!" :D
I cannot BELIEVE how much less retaining I do since I've upped my water consumption to 80-100 oz a day. I'm actually surprised my boss hasn't mentioned how often I have to dash to the potty...

For the last year I could not understand why my Left foot was always swollen:confused:.I hardly touched the stuff (water) I was a BIG time soda drinker. No more soda but drinking my water As of today my foot looks "normal". I am going with the more water you drink the better your body so drink up everybody:D

Its crazy how out body works. If we dont drink enough water, we bloat. If we cut calories to lose weight, our body holds on the the weight even more. Water is what I use to get over plateaus...if I stall I just add in an extra bottle or two and the scale will finally move.

Yeap, I've had my fair share of ridiculous water retention and the ladies are right, drink water!
May sound a little weird, but during that time of the month (when your body tends to bloat/retain a little more water than you normally would) take a B6 vitamin supplement (100 mg) along with a multivitamin and drink your normal daily ounces of water....you'll be flushing out that extra water weight like you wouldn't believe.
Whatever you do, don't take those water pills that you see in the store...most of them deplete your system of potassium, which is an electrolyte that you really need to regulate water balance.

Thank you everyone for your replies, i was worried about that!
As for the time of the month, i don't have to worry about that, thanks to my IUD :D And i do not get any of the side effects, bloating, cramps, so on...
i wonder if that will have any effect on the Phen, or if the Phen will have any effect with the IUD.
Gosh, I didn't think of any of this stuff while i was there, i was so excited my mind went blank.
O I made a boo-boo, lol went to the gym last night (2.5 hrs :) ) Stepped on the scale before i showered, -3lbs!! :D:D:D:D:D Cant wait to see what the scale reads at the doctors on Tuesday! O yea, and ask these questions, I better write them down, cause I'll be so overwhelmed with excitement i will forget

As I have read on the internet about taking Phentermine and drinking coffee or anything that has caffenie in it ( i am a huge coffee and soda drinker) it is very dangerous, now if this is true or not, i have no idea. You should really contact your doctor and ask them about that. And you should be drinking the min of 8 glasses of water a day, the more the better! I've noticed with with any other drink it be coffee, tea, juice it does not help or relieve any of the dry mouth that I have, only the water does it for me. I've been drinking anywhere from 90-100oz or more of water a day. But in the morning either right before or right after I take the Phen, I have a cup of coffee. :o
