I am just not feeling the energy....I get the total opposite that I just want to crash, going to bed early, I can't do nothing. Before Phen I was a work out maniac, now I just don't even feel like moving.........any thoughts?

Hi Rcook --
I know what you mean. I started taking Phen in February and at first, I had great surges of energy too. I found about 3-4 weeks into it, I had to push myself to the gym . At night, I was looking at the clock at 8 and thinking...Man, I could just fall asleep right here.....In a way, that was good because I did not have the problems that most people had with insomnia.
I think that the Phen-affect....so-to-speak...does wear off. I am still getting the benefits of the appetite suppressant and lack of cravings I cannot control. I worry about the day I take my last Phen pill because I am wondering if I will be ungodly tired and slipping into a coma by noon with huge cravings for chips and chocolate again...I hope not....but I know what you mean and I have no idea what to expect other than I am there right with you...

This is just a theory, so take it for what it's worth!
Phen is an amphetamine and therefore speeds you up and can cause loss of appetite. Ritalin, a drug often used for the treatment of ADD, is also an amphetamine, yet when it's given to a child that is "too" active (hyper) it has the effect of slowing them down and allows them to focus more clearly. It can also cause loss of appetite for children. If you give this same drug to a child without ADD, it will speed them up, much like Phen does for most of us.
My theory is you already were VERY active. In your case, maybe Phen is behaving like Ritalin, and having the effect of slowing you down.
Your lethargy may improve with time. And on the flip side, the high energy those of us experience appears to decline the longer you are on Phen.

Flchick -- I remember reading that now that you mention. Great information...I had forgotten.
A lot of people that have adult ADD or adult ADHD try Phen and actually do have clarity and calmness as opposed to those who don't. That probably explains my foggy thinking and lack of clarity at times on Phen.
Excellent...:)

Yeah that is funny that you mention the ADD, because I have a son that is ADD and Autistic. He has been on Ritilin for years! BUT my doctor is a personal friend and when she called yesterday I said my husband said "wow are you mad at me because you are soo calm"? She said I bet money you are ADD, and I am sure she is probably right! So maybe it will all level out over time! I don't have the urge to eat really, like others have to force myself to eat, I had a headache yesterday I think it was lack of caffine tho! But today I am refusing to be sooo laid back! So I cleaned house already and have pilates at 1..and I hope to golf later! Hoping that I just need to JUST DO IT!
