Quick poll: are you telling your friends and family about Phen?

I dont know why, but Im honestly really embarrassed about taking Phen. I swore my husband to secrecy.
When I do start loosing weight and people will surely ask what Ive been doing, I dont know what I will say.

Has anybody experienced negative opinions about taking a weight loss pill? Any positive opinions?

Do you plan on telling people you are taking a diet pill???

At first i had just told my boyfriend but then after a week i did tell my firend and family and i am blessed to have such understand family and friends ..i was to alil at first but then i said why be embarrassed when its something that i am doing for myself and for my health =) I know how you feel and can relate

As of my family NO just my husband and 3 of my very best of friends(all live in different states :D) My reason is that I was brought up with a very Negative family and I married into one also :( I don't need there negative I need support and Positive input. Embarrassed No..... Just not anybodies business. Will I tell them.....I will know when I reach that bridge :rolleyes:. Sorry if I am to Harsh I just need lots of encouragement. May meet that bridge Next Month for Hubby's parents are coming to visit. I will let ya know what happens.

The only person that knows is my husband. I have not told my family, his family or any of my friends. I recently met up with some friends that havent seen me since September and they asked what I am doing to lose. I told them I exercise, eat healthy and drink tons of water...which is the truth. One person in particular did ask me if I was taking something...the only thing i said was I am under a doctors care and he has prescribed an appetite suppressant...then I changed the subject. I dont feel that it reallly is anyone's business...I mean it isnt like it is illegal or that the phen is totally doing all the work. It is still up to me to make sure I eat right and get plenty of exercise....and I dont feel the need to explain myself or have people look at me cross eyed because I am taking a "diet pill"

I surprised my self by uploading a photo. The thought of "oh God, what if someone knows me on here" popped in my mind, but then I said WHO CARES even faster!

My husband knows. I am a caregiver and I told the mother of my patient and she said "dont take that! It will give you heart problems. You can do it yourself." And Yadda yadda yadda. It was then that decided not to tell anybody else. And its not like I have very many people to talk to. Ive been shutting myself in these 4 walls for so long. I know that will change soon enough.

Exactly..... I am PROUD of you :) I don't need the DRAMA of my family. My sister lost 3 pants sizes by working out and eating better choices.... Been there done that and I still struggled. I know I would get the same support that MAMICS got yadda yadda yadda. So i keep my mouth shut. nobody needs to know at this point I will reach the bridge when I get to it :D

All my friends and my kids Dad no that I am am on "Diet pills" I dont talk to or c my Mum or family so thats not a factor. Afew of my mates sed y do u want to take them, u dont need them (but not in a horrible way tho) I replied "Well if I had the will power to not have to take them I wouldnt be fat in the 1st place, LoL." ;-)
But like I sed they didnt nag just sed b careful n all that.


I think alot of people c it as a cop out type thing or an easy way out so get embarest but its certainly not, once uv bin takin them 4 afew weeks u still need a hole lot of will-power and excersizing.

I told my family and friends if they asked how/what I was doing to lose weight. My mother, of course, was the most concerned with the "diet" pill but I told her that I am aware of all the side effects and see my doctor every 30 days. Everyone else is very supportive and some were interested in trying Phen themselves. It's hard to know whether people will support you or lecture you. The ones that had negative comments did not change my mind about using it so it really didn't matter who I told.

my co-workers know but only becasue we all go to the same weight clinic together ... desk jobs will do a number on ya weight !
